      I echo you sir/maam! He is amazing, especially the juicing info. I cant wait until my vitamix shows up here in the Philippines. I am going to do the same thing. In need of a major detoxing and cleansing. I think he said "John Rose!? ",got to look that guy up! Asher, you are the man in so many ways, I love Arizona too, was going to be my home before I decided sell my beloved black mamba jeep wrangler unlimited, affectionately named, PersyGT( perseverance & good trouble)- my life story to come to the beautiful Philippines & hopefully marry my fiancee2wife Charlie here in the Philippines. I too am a serial entrepreneur & a published author. So we click on that Asher. All be blessed, safe, healthy, happy, prosperous and great! My going salutation to all I meet and encounter.

    Asher, I'm an Australian and have lived in the Philippines since 1997 and in Davao City since 2008. I was also working in the stockbroking industry from the late 1960s to 1993 then came to the Philippines in the late 1980s to run a mining company. Since 2012 I have been involved in the banana industry developing a market for banana fiber from the waste left after harvesting of the fruit. Your background and mine are remarkably similar. Would love to see how your interest in coffee could be developed down here in Davao.

    Hello, my name is Gerry chua, I’m here in south texas and I’m a Filipino. Watching your videos, very informative , getting near my retirement age. I watch your videos and getting important things about retirement. They said to know the road ahead asked those who are coming back. A lot of people you interviewed had planned their retirement and was successful living in the Philippines. More power to you all.

    When Asher mentioned he drove his little Ford pickup West it brought back memories for me. We filled our little Ford pickup with all we had and headed West. This was 1987 and we are looking for the same Ford pickup model to buy now but couldn't find one. What an interesting interview, Mark.

    Asher, I know you are not a Doctor, but I have type 2 diabetes and I suffered 3 strokes and 5 heart attacks in South Florida -2017-2018, and you talk about the body naturally healing itself. You are speaking my language! I hate the pharmaceutical companies and the crap they push on people.Would you recommend both the juicing and water feasting,fasting for a person in my condition? I want to do this very bad because I know you know what you are talking about from experience. Thank you sir and great interview. Best yet!! Be blessed, safe, healthy, happy, prosperous and great! Happy new and through year to you all!

    • @PInk77W1
      @PInk77W1 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Problem with juicing is your body is designed to chew and mix salvia with your food. Juicy makes food spike your insulin too fast too much. Fiber and chewing food slows that process down.
      I’m 61 and I walk everyday and bicycle And other exercises.

    • @DHarri9977
      @DHarri9977 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey Garrett, if I may, I would suggest you look into doing a Keto-based diet and ease your way into a Carnivore diet and adjust to see what works best for you along with intermittent fasting. Doing away with a lot of bad foods and habits is what causes many of the issues you describe. It all comes back to eliminating a lot of the bad things out of our system mainly to clean up your blood (sugar, carbs, seed oils, vegetable oils) which is connected with the development of having a fatty liver and other things.
      My suggestion for what it's worth would be to explore the different videos that cover these topics and see what you think, you'll see and feel a big difference. Dr. Ken Berry does a live podcast every Monday night on TH-cam, check it out. PHD proper human diet-based topics, again you can just do Keto which is less restrictive in terms of the variety of foods either way, in the end, you'll accomplish a lot in getting back your health.

      I've seen some pretty sick people benefit greatly from water fasting.
      When I was in the best shape of my life I ate one meal a day, that means only one meal a day and the rest of the time water, now when I would get hungry and couldn't make it to my next meal I would have a cup of black coffee and that would help kill the hunger greatly.
      In your condition though you would need to be supervised by a doctor.

    • @CoffeeUniversity
      @CoffeeUniversity ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can definitely heal yourself through your choices of what to eat and drink. There are so many that have overcome Type II Diabetes by adopting a Vegan Raw Food diet. I agree with Rocket99, choose someone who has a proven track record in this field and get supervision. It can be dangerous to suddenly, and too extremely, change your diet.
      Maybe start with Intermittent fasting by adopting a 16 hour fast, 8 hour eating window, and slowly changing your eating and drinking habits. I found that what worked best for me was to first, without changing anything, research extensively the ideas and theories behind fasting. Understanding and knowledge will be your best motivator!

    1:53 EST, he is phenomenal guy, his life experience is fundamental, in todays like.. running, coffee, and being a health advocate. Good interview. Any advise what to eat before running full marathon? I am running on 01-22-23 in Apopka, FL. Thank you!

    • @CoffeeUniversity
      @CoffeeUniversity ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thats a good question. At the time I was training for and competing in marathons, I carboloaded prior to race day, only because that was the only thing I knew how to do at the time. Not sure what exactly I would do now given what I have learned, but it would be more along the lines of training my body to efficiently convert my fat stores into glycogen.
      You will probably be fine eating a big pasta meal 3-4 hours before the race, or the night before if you are starting in the morning.

    Many expats, tourists are intimidated with Filipino food and they can be. Many complain that they are unhealthy, granted.BUT, many don't understand thay you can actually eat healthy food if you prepare yourselves. Go to the local markets and you will see fresh veggies, fish, meat, fruits etc. Unlike in many many countries (I'm Canadian) where many of the above are not fresh. In the Philippines you can literally wait in the shores for
    the fishermen to unload their live catch. I think what many are trying to say is that they are not readily avaible. So there is a market for these "healthy foods" in the Phillipines waiting to be tapped.

    Feedback for interviewers, When you have an intelligent subject, dont interupt "their story". They know what's interesting about themselves. How long a Tri is or the price of gold or when bmx started or medically dangerous fasting advice is distracting. Also the interviewer's life or knowlege of x, is not "their story". Hope this lands well to help improve skills. And believe him, Ted X is not the same as Ted...he would know.
