I so love this, I think we are so hard on ourselves whenever we create anything. Thank God for your mother and you, I never frog anything I make, if I make a mistake, I can hide it WELL honey. I always say, crochet is like humans, we look good on the outside, but we all have imperfections if you look close enough at our lives, not what we say, but how we live. Yarn isn't perfect either, some colors fade, some yarn splits easily, some is roving (thin, fat, thin, fat), some is difficult to frog, some frogs on its own. Yes, we are just like yarn, so why should what we create be perfect, when we're not. Give your mom a huge hug and a big kiss for me.

Great tutorial. I don't like joining granny squares but you make it look so easy. I am going to get some yarn out of my stash and start a blanket now 😀 Just one thing .. if i don't put a chain between the clusters on my granny squares, do I still do 3 chains between the single crochets? Thanks Juan.

This is such a simple method for connecting granny squares. I avoid doing grannies because I am so intimidated by connecting them. There are so many complicated ways. I can't wait to try this method. It was so nice that you saved your Mom's work by turning them into a beautiful blanket. Any imperfections are perfectly hidden.
