Another pattern said to whip stitch my squares together. It looked terrible. Then I remembered watching you do this really cool invisible stitch. Fabulous! Thank you Crystal!
How pretty! Thank you Crystal, I've been crocheting for 53 yrs and never knew. When you said it was like lacing your shoes, it made total sense to me. This one I'll never forget.😍

Hi Crystal, Here in Sacramento California it is 5:20 p.m. & 109 degrees, supposed to last the next 9;days. Decided to just watch your videos , snack & , sit under the A/C & crochet ….I’m not cooking for sure!!!!
Thank you for showing us the mattress stitch in sewing seams together. I have avoided making granny squares because I thought sewing them together would be hard but you make it look easy and clean. This is going on my Save list for sure.🥰
You are the loveliest individual ❤️❤️. Whether it’s free tutorials, really great demonstrations slowly shown so that everyone that’s watching comes away with knowledge, whether it’s animal love or just general information that is so helpful, you are always the one I go to first. You are kind, knowledgeable & are always prepared to share your knowledge ❤️💕. The Best, always the best!!! Thanks so much for taking the time Crystal, 🤗❤️💕🥰😍👏😇
Crystal, thank you for this! Not only have I been doing this stitch all wrong. Also, I never thought to crochet a single crochet border to have the color match!!! You really think of everything!
Thanks Crystal. I have never understood the mattress stitch but your explanation of the needle always going downwards makes it easier to remember. Can't wait to use this stitch on my next blanket ❤❤
My favorite for flat joins❤❤❤ I was taught to catch both loops if you don't want that little ridge. My grandmother taught my almost 50 years ago and she was in her 80s. Lol.
Thanks Crystal 😊 You are the best teacher 🤎 I have learnt so much of your tutorials 👌👍🤗 And made many things 🥰 You are such a sweet person ✌️🙏 Always love your videos 😍 Thanks for all of your efforts 👏☺️ Hope you have a great day 🤎 Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
That colorway is THE MOST beautiful color. I need to find out what yarn you are using. I have never made a blanket I that needs pieced together. Thank you so very much for these tutorials! I'm almost brave enough to try a granny square blanket.
I just wanted to thank you for putting this tutorial out. I've had trouble with mattress stitch, but you make it so easy...at least this gives me confidence to try again. Appreciate you, girl.
This join has always intimidated me but you explained it so well and the example was so clear! It was amazing! I just joined two rectangles edged in white with a black yarn and it makes such a pretty pattern! THANK YOU!! I can make more granny square projects now!
That looks so nice. I personally do not care for doing join as you go. I like just making the squares then connecting them. This is right up my alley - thank you! 💜
I have been so busy lately, but just had to hop on to see the stitch and to make sure you were doing OK still we’ll try to watch more of them in the near future.
Wow. Crystal. Your timing is so awesome. I so needed this as working on granny blanket & of course need to join, so this is absolutely GREAT. Love you so much & thank you thank you for sharing your beautiful amazing talent ❤❤😘💖
Oh my gosh!!!!!! You just saved my life!!!!!! I’ve started so many things that need to be sewn together and always give up because it seems clumpy!!!!!
My next projected is an Afghan for my 10-year old grandson who informs me his favourite colour is teal! Teal, blue and browns similar to what you have here would be great. Thanks, Crystal. 🙏
Thank you Crystal! That honestly helped me and now I think I want to make a granny square blanket. I love making granny squares but avoid making them because I could never stitch them together to look good in my mind. Now I know I can! ❤
Thank you for showing this. I have tried to figure out how my grandmother connected granny squares on an afghan that I inherited. No matter how close I looked I couldn’t figure it out. Now I know. Blessings on you.
Hi Crystal, this is the perfect stitch for a baby blanket I’m currently making, I was wondering which stitch would be best and here you are with the answer. Thank you so much for your patience and first class tutorials, I appreciate you so much.
This is such a great tutorial, well explained and video taped. I’ve seen and saved several and this is best for me. I’ve been crocheting for almost fifty years. Taught myself from a book.
