I feel that to ethically start handing these out there needs to be extensive education on the software, hardware, and firmware mechanics involved. Users need to be able to program their own neuralink from scratch and be able to rigorously control who and what can access the device and when. The risk of abuse is so incredibly high, especially because one or two bad actors early can conceivably tank the technology forever. Luckily, what areas of the brain are accessed by the device is hardware constrained so no one can be surprised by what section of the brain it accesses and hopefully that means it’ll be easy to detect and head off any malfeasance.

Can I please ask that my dad be tested with the Neuralink Chip? He is dying. He has had multiple strokes and heart attacks. He suffers from Congestive Heart Failure along with a laundry list of other things that this has caused. He's a great man who has taught me to value life as soon as I could understand anything. The doctors say there is nothing more they can do for him and I had to give permission for a DNR order a couple months ago. Animals can be used for lab tests only and can not be used outside of a lab environment. Any breach of the above will mean imprisonment and if warranted a large fine equal to the annual revenue of the person, the company or the state.

The doctors say there is nothing more they can do for him and I had to give permission for a DNR order a couple months ago.
