I hope the chat was just memeing when they were debating Meshuggah's "Bleed" and this. I guess every band with some palm muted galloping is ripping off Bleed? lol.
@@arockfloatinginspace4488 that strumming pattern is too fucking good not to use. also, meshugga is playing in polyrhythms and I don't *think* gojira is but don't quote me on that.
@@jensenparker5504like the one guy in xchat said "the way to all flesh was came after obZen by 8 months and in that 8 months they probably finished this song before obZen or bleed
Just in case you thought that constant "tack tack tack" in the background was the strumming, that's the base drum (Mario duplantier is a drinking master)
Guitar Hero needs to make a come back with individual band versions like they did with van halen and metallica. This band would make an epic guitar hero.
They think cause that one guitar pattern sounds similar they ripped them off Except for the fact that obzen and the way of all flesh came out the same year
That rhythm you’re hearing is actually quite common in drumming and it’s called a “herta”. One of the first drummers to play that classic Meshuggah beat was actually Mike Mangini (current Dream Theater drummer) who played the exact beat that you hear in the song “bleed”! Just thought it would be cool to share.
The microphone I'm using on the headset is directional. It's only picking up sounds close to it. Couple that with a noise gate and it's pretty decent at keeping out extra sounds.
Um.....am I right in assuming that(considering the length of the song) this song, out of ALL THE SONGS that have ever been in GH, custom or not, has the most notes in it compared to it's duration? I mean at 2:30 you were at +1500 notes........
Andrew Murphy that a pretty fair statement considering they never play this live. The reason being Joe is too lazy to relearn it and build that muscle memory again.
It ain't all that different in real guitar, my hand was in so much pain after learning this. It's not even that hard note-wise, but the stamina levels required are through the frickin roof...
The strumming looks harder on guitar hero than real guitar. I've played this song on a real guitar many times but you don't have to pick that hard, but with that thing it looks like you have to hold it the plastic thing with more effort lol
telling you from experience, playing this on an actual guitar is a nightmare. that part towards the end with devil chords, yeah that is fucking bullshit,
It's longer yeah, but it's actually easier to play than this song. I can play art of dying on guitar but I can't play esoteric surgery(yet, that gallop chugging is insanity for my right arm lol).
people in twitch chat discussing what song is better between this and Bleed, but like Meshuggah in general is god awful to listen to if compared to gojira
More Gojira!
Nice hevy devy pic! I saw him, gojira, and Opeth live in may. INSANE show.
thekenguitarist same what venue I saw David Townsend, gojira, and opeth at red rocks
Starkiller685 I saw them at the Starland Ballroom in NJ
Im so jealous u attended that! :( I saw him in Zagreb with BTBAM and Leprous
Fran Lovel Šimić 2 years after the fact, any o you dudes going to see them at these festivals?
I hope the chat was just memeing when they were debating Meshuggah's "Bleed" and this. I guess every band with some palm muted galloping is ripping off Bleed? lol.
I think you mean a ‘Herta’ played with the feet...
They are guitar hero commiunity they dont know anything about real guitar

ToastyIsBaked the intro is 32nd double bass notes played for 16 beats straight
Guitar Hero needs to make a come back with individual band versions like they did with van halen and metallica. This band would make an epic guitar hero.
Everybody on the stream chat talking about Gojira copying Meshuggah.
Lmao hahahahahaha Gojira is the best
Definitely love Gojira too. \m/

Everyone could literally make that pattern. These people in the chat only listens to Meshuggah.
Lots and lots of strummin. Man this was so freaking awesome! \m/
This song is just so great with different rhythms and tight guitars. Just great!
I thought the title said "Esoteric Strumming"
Looking back on it, I think it would've been a much more fitting name.
Also very fun on actual guitar. Learning it by ear at the moment.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jason concentrate so much in my life
Jason playing Gojira? What a moment to be alive.
This song is actually a drumming nightmare too
Walter White doesn't sound like it
@Conrad Nickelson Double bass drum is pretty intense
GOJIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I just downloaded this chart today for clone hero and holy hell this is a fun song to play
How do you manage to not get any clacking from your guitar recorded?
The microphone I'm using on the headset is directional. It's only picking up sounds close to it. Couple that with a noise gate and it's pretty decent at keeping out extra sounds.
Hell yeah Gojira.
I'm not surprised you call it a strumming nightmare. I learned that song on guitar years ago, and that verse galloping is a bitch.
I love how the green light on the controller gets affected by the chroma key and shines black.
Thats pretty metal \m/

def not
BADRANG4EVER yea no hecking way
I think it's Fleshgod Apocalypse that has one that's even more strumming for the entire song.
BADRANG4EVER Song with most notes is probably worms for the garden by buckethead (18 mins long though)
I feel like I would be thinking, when does it ever end? My arm is about to fall off game!
Andrew Murphy Yeah from personal experience my hand wanted to die before the vocalist even sung
RisingMist vocalist's name is joe duplantier
The Cat Yeah I remember that, with the drummer being Mario Duplainter
Andrew Murphy that a pretty fair statement considering they never play this live. The reason being Joe is too lazy to relearn it and build that muscle memory again.

Very impressive... But where's the Rocksmith cover?
Is there a cdlc of this song cause I only grabbed love and stranded
Try playing Henker Mental Corruption that is a strumming nightmare
the way it ends or thrasher are a strumming nightmare too
This song is just as a strumming nightmare on guitar. I did it on rocksmith. My hand popped so much after i was done.
I Found out how to download custom songs (i downloaded the undertale stuff) but i always crash, how to fix?
cytotoxin "abysm nucleus"?
I love them I got to see them live at red rocks
All these strumming rhythms D: my head is hurting
Nice video, budget Ola Englund!
you got awesome guitar skills
Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate your support \m/
The gods of tech metal
ADTR please!

if there isnt a chart for transilvanian hunger by darkthrone you should get someone to make one and playvthat
These guys are gonna be at a concert I'm going to with a7x and Metallica, don't know much about Gojira but this song sounds neat
I'm going to one too. I can't wait!
They never play it live, it's impossible to play some parts and sing at the same time.
Holy shit, it's Bleed riff!
Epitaph no ..it's not
Stop
telling you from experience, playing this on an actual guitar is a nightmare. that part towards the end with devil chords, yeah that is fucking bullshit,
i miss the streaming :C
Hope you can come by soon! \m/
i hope men
Please react to Jinjer - Pisces live!! Oh wait.. wrong chanel again. Ops
That little triplet riff is like a baby Bleed by meshugah. Even the drums are the same
The drums aren't really the same
thats why they dont play it live lmao
how do i favourite a TH-cam video asking for a friend ❤️🤘🏻
DrinkerOf Tea create a playlist and name it favorites, and then add this one to it
TheMainManUSA 713 This was a joke to say this vid is epic but thank you, I didn't think to do that lmao
DrinkerOf Tea 😂😂😂Oops
TheMainManUSA 713 s'all good my dude lmao
art of dying is worse and longer lol
It's longer yeah, but it's actually easier to play than this song. I can play art of dying on guitar but I can't play esoteric surgery(yet, that gallop chugging is insanity for my right arm lol).
IM ON THIS VID WOOOOO (in chat at least)
That guitar hero tab is horrendous. It's missing sooooo many chords, notes and ghost notes...
people in twitch chat discussing what song is better between this and Bleed, but like Meshuggah in general is god awful to listen to if compared to gojira
@Ariel Simnegar No. Its true
