Been playing Zelda since the first one in the 80s, Idk how they do it, but even in my 40s they still somehow manage to make me feel like a kid exploring for fun, and the music is so ethereal and relaxing. Reminds me a lot of Secret Of Mana.
I know what you mean. I haven't felt this way playing a game in years. And what's crazier is I was never a classic Zelda fan and barely played any of the older games and yet this game still makes me feel like a kid again discovering things
Really want a ten hour version of this to go to sleep to. Magnificent music. Heard it for the first time just yesterday and it's already burned into my brain.
@@def4472 I did a TON of exploring, like I went from left to right finding and marking stuff and caves I exolored already and made an entire list of the shrines underground and on the surface It was very tedious lol

@@ryderls2729for real! i was totally annoyed by botw shrine’s theme and shrines themselves(especially that flute or smth instrument that occurs mid theme), but totk shrines give me chills and calmness when i’m stressing on a puzzle.
I just finished the game a few days ago. It took me exactly 5 months to beat .. the puzzles took me so long but I’m so happy I went into this game blind. It was the best decision of my life. I keep listening to this song after finishing the game & hearing the part at 5:48 just makes me think of everything I done in the game & how far I’ve came in it. I’m hearing the next Zelda game will be in a different universe .. but this one will be remembered until I’m old & grey. God this game was such a masterpiece 🩵
This is phenomenal. Idk how to describe the feeling I get from listening, it’s like I’m floating in this calm spiritual realm, surrounded by a glowing aura. I loved BOTW’s shrine music, but this truly feels like it belongs in such a divine place
What’s crazy is this isn’t even the only shrine music, but it is by far the most peaceful and calm. This game’s music soothes my soul like no other game can. God I love this game.
during one shrine i had to stop and just stare at the transparent ceiling high above. the slow glowing ripples on it made me feel as if i was deep underwater looking towards the surface and i was just so transfixed. i just stood like that for five minutes
This might sound extreme but this one of my favorite tracks Nintendo has ever made. I’ve listened to it so much already when doing uni work or just to relax. Unbelievable how hard they nailed the whole vibe with these shrines. The BOTW Shrine track was so annoying after the first few times. I never got even slightly tired with this one because of it’s modular nature. Masterful.
TotK's soundtrack is phenomenal, one of the absolute best I've heard in games in years. It's so diverse, soothing, uplifting.... It's beyond amazing. Thanks for the upload, I am in tears now.
Whenever I'm having a bad day I always listen to this soothing theme. I know people tend to hate on totk these days but you cannot deny that this theme can calm even the worst days.
The Zonai have such a unique aesthetic going on. Just like the primary mechanics of TOTK, they used a touch of anti-entropy to do a lot with very little.
I always got the feeling of looking out across an otherworldly landscape from 5:49 onward. It has this vibe I can only really get from something like the first Unreal game. But much more serene and subdued.
Man, what a banger. BOTW shrine theme was kinda meh to me, the weakest point of an otherwise extraordinary soundtrack, but this theme is absolutely delicious. The musical arrangements are much more interesting imo: the synths sounds are much more refined, they added some magnificent choir/voices in the back, several uses of reverse sounds that make totally sense given the story and gameplay... And that deep bass in the end with the kind of jazzy synth chords, it made me stop and listen in every shine i heard it so far. Reminds me a bit the work of jameszoo for example. I have a feeling by the way that the structure of the track is linked to the progression in the shrine, isn't it? Like, you can hear the final part of the track (5:49 here) only when you reach the last room in a shrine. Very subtle if that's the case, but i loooove that kind of stuff
Probably not getting Tears of the Kingdom till next month since I finally got a job this summer but I love these shrines man… The color choice theme aesthetic there all great
Stylistically the Zonai have to be one of my most favorite fictional fantasy races ever. I'm not particularly keen on Legend of Zelda lore on its own, but the Zonai immediately stand out as significantly more unique and visually interesting than the other races in the series; their lands of origin, extremely advanced and esoteric technology, quasi-deity characteristics, and overall visual thematic designs/insignia all make them totally awesome. I love that they are shrouded in mystery, and can only entertain in my head how interesting their lore may be, and how amazing it would be if it is comparable (or hell, even cooler) than the Dunmer's lore from the Elder Scrolls, or the Dragonborn's lore from the Forgotten Realms are. This music also is perfectly composed for the Zonai as well, perfectly encompassing everything that I had described about them. The effect it has is enchanting. Very impressed by the design and music team on this one.
this music is so beautiful, I’m so glad Nintendo did what they did with this game man. So well done. Probably the last perfect Nintendo game we’ll get until metroid prime 4 or another major title. I’m glad I’m here for it all.
Ahh those naked shrine battles were so much fun. Got my ass kicked early on in those, but then as the game went on would get excited finding out a new shrine was one of those.
Before entering the first shrine I was slightly bummed out thinking BOTW shrine theme was going to be better, but ToTK delievered and didn't disappoint.
I get this indescribable and unexplainable feeling from listening to this music. If you could see the time it takes for you to complete a shrine mine would have an extra 10 mins because i’m sitting there listening to the theme being mesmerized by it. It’s so beautiful. 5:23 is something I love for some reason, idk why.
As much as i like this track, i actually really love the shrine music from botw and was hoping it would return... I feel like that track really perfectly encapsulated that "Ancient Mysterious Technological Civilization" vibe. I never ever got sick of it.
I think that adding back the original shrine music would have been a disservice. The tone of that music doesn’t really fit here, as the aesthetics of the two ancient civilizations are only superficially similar IMO.
