Here it is Ladies & Gentlemen, Skyrim! Our story follows Leonidas "Leon" Aventus a outcast of the Imperial Legion. His history is long and varied but we learn that he has served in the Imperial Legion most of his life and was an accomplished commander until it all fell apart.
Leon & his men where sent to hunt down a beast that had been terrorizing a province in the far reaches of the Empire. The tables turned as the beast began to hunt them. A pack of horrid creatures tore through Leon & his soldiers. Although they fought valiantly they didn't stand a chance, one by one they fell until the creatures left. By some miracle Leon managed to survive his wounds and was recovered by the local guard.
Upon returning to the Imperial City he had hoped to be able to put the event behind him but since his return he never felt right, as if something from the night had latched onto him and had yet to let go. First there where nightmares, then the beast reared its ugly head. Leon was cursed to become the very creature he tried to slay. Realizing that he was putting his family in danger and after a close call he decided to exile himself, to live in the wild away from others.
In was in this time he learn't the tales of the Companions. Warriors that fought as Beasts. They where rumored to exist in Skyrim, Leon knew of the war and that he would not simply be able to travel across the boarder, especially being an Imperial. He sort passage from Anvil via boat and left his precious Cyrodiil behind.
A storm struck while the boat was passing through the Sea of Ghosts and had collided with something. In another miracle Leon was freed from the sinking ship, he believes by the beast. However it happened he still thought the end had come.
That was until Deekus an Argonian found him washed up near his camp and brought him back into this world and to health. He listened to Leon's plight and while afraid of what he might have saved he sent him off in the direction of Dawnstar. And that is where our story beings!

This was beautiful. (I stumbled across this around season 3) Watched half of it and immediately came to the start.
Do you ever get the mod Frostfall? The UI would probably break immersion but the features would help enforce the freezing climate of Skyrim.

I was pleasantly surprised! This was the first truly *immersive* let's play I have seen! With others, it becomes obvious quite quickly that they are acting as their characters - with yours, the character comes alive on his own. Highly professional, and as others have said, consider voice acting.

I just started doing it too, more and more ( but you're right, when no one is around )I've been playing off and on since its release, but my roleplaying has become more involved. Just sharing :)
Right ? It really improves the gameplay to do this. I have thought of posting these kind of videos for a while, but... still not doing it hehe, maybe I will in the future. I used to always do it in my head, like think of what my chracarter would be thinking all the time, but then I saw my friend play fallout and express himself while he was playing. He was not ropleplaying, just being very rexpressive, and then I thought... hey, why not roleplay aloud when I play Skyrim, its quite fun :)
I really thought about doing it too, but it seems my computer does not agree with me. The lag is unbearable..
This is so cool. This makes this feel like a completely different game. Definitely going to binge watch the rest after work!

Insta-subbed the moment I saw how many of these there are. Really great shit man, really puts in perspective what it was like playing games as a kid back when it was easy top immerse myself into anything. When I play later I'm gonna see if I can tease my imagination out again, worst thing about life is losing your imagination

Rycon Roleplays Haha you're doing great with it. Do you make these yourself by recording the game play and voice the character as you go or record voice while editing? These have really changed my play style quite a bit by trying to imagine npc's being individuals and basically trying to completely quit fast traveling. I still do at times, just when I've got a lot of loot encumbering me and follower when I'm far from any decent merchants. Other than that it's been great. First time I've actually watched anyone's Role Playing, figured it'd be devoid of the little things that make TES shine and just concentrate on the main story but this is really something I wasn't expecting

I thought that's what you did, just couldn't be too sure cause apparently you're pretty great at improvising. There a script you follow for each episode or is it like an ultimate goal for each episode and the way towards that goal is unscripted until you reach it?

Thanks, yeah it's all on the fly. I need to work fast and I find that this is the most enjoyable way for me to do it, allows me to be open to the game world

My dad showed my skyrim when I was 3. Yes, 3 years old. I watched him play it and fell in love with the game, when I was around 7 I found these videos and binged them all, god I love them so much. Now I’m 15, time flies when your having fun, thank you Rycon!
Here for nostalgia for a hot minute haha, I actually never finished this series. I stopped on season 3 due to life events. Can't wait to watch the whole story now! Also I'm still drafting my book but now I'm older and in college now my dream is coming closer to be filled :) crazy it's been about 7-8 years and I found you a few months after you posted this video for the first time and you've improved so much since then
It's really hard to believe 2014 was 8 years ago, I remember getting Skyrim in 2014 and making dozens of characters inspired by your roleplays. Looking forward to making more! I'm also really excited for the Beyond Skyrim mods to eventually come out. Those will be a blast to roleplay, with many new opportunities for characters from different provinces and backgrounds. I'm of course excited about Elder Scrolls 6, however recently I have been trying to not overhype it as I don't want to expect more than what it will really be. Skyrim is a classic, and it will certainly take a lot to top it. We've grown so used to Skyrim that I'd say I'm more excited about future overhaul mods than ES6 itself. But still excited nonetheless! Thanks for all the great gameplay Rycon. I'm a bit of a late returning subscriber but, congratulations on 100k subscribers!

I don't even have words to describe how amazing this video is, I just watched 5 seconds to realize the jewel that was in my hands, the story is interesting, and the voice - god that voice!! Thank you for not ever breaking character. To my knowledge, this is the only Skyrim LP I've ever seen that can hold that distinction. Not that it's the worst thing in the world, but if you're gonna roleplay, then roleplay. I mean, have you ever watched a movie where 10 minutes into it the director comes out from behind the camera and addresses the audience? Nope. [insert reference to some movie where the director addresses the audience here]

I have spent many days and many nights in a quest many would call a waste of time. My quest was to find a excellent role player doing justice to werewolves, the beast within offering great strength but uncontrollable instinct.
A role play where though the man and the beast are one and the same, it is clear the inner struggles of a creature with the mind of a man and the heart of a beast...

Skyrim SE needs a mod where we can pay a blacksmith to upgrade a weapon to a certain quality based on their skill and how much we want to spend, it always ruins a roleplay when you have to level smithing just to be a dangerous warrior or archer.

+Rycon Roleplays Have you ever considered challenging yourself with an FPS or such? I'd reccommend SWBF2 as the moments can get super cinematic and it would be history in the making from an amazinf roleplayer.
