After serving 20+ years in the USAF I worked security and then went to work in law enforcement for 15 years. Was planning to stay for 25 years but due to cancer I retired. I had bought a boat to do deep sea fishing but had to give it up due to the cancer. Had joined the USCG Auxiliary and enjoyed teaching and helping new boaters to be safe. I enjoyed the structure but after leaving this last organization I became lost especially after loosing my beloved wife recently. I' just purchased my HD Freewheeler and am planning on fixing it up so that I can travel the National Parks. I have now set a goal to travel all 50 states on my trike health permitting. Since I live in Hawaii this will be a great place to start and come back to in the cold winter months. Sometimes one has to make their own structure and make plans to do it. At the age of 79 I have passed my motorcycle skill test on a 2 wheeler but figured the trike was better for my plans. My family is somewhat skeptical but I just point out how much safer the trike is and how I'll feel that "freedom" I had when I rode over 60 years ago. Besides my son and grandkids do ride and I just might take some of them with me. Make those plans and follow up.
