Although my kids are now grown and gone, I continue to love being a full-time homemaker. After my kids left home, I heard from many people, "Are you going to get a job now?" Here's the thing....I HAVE a job. I am a homemaker, and I love it!

Your decision to be at home for your daughter is admirable and honorable. ❣
I was in the women's lib generation where women were encouraged to find themselves and leave the home. ( Even though a woman who chose to stay home was looked down upon). I loved raising my children and caring for my home. I never got caught up in the hype. People said we couldn't do it on one income, as we lived in CA. I always said and still say, it depends on what your priorities are. Our outings for a family of 6, were hiking with packed snacks. We didn't have fancy name brand anything. We shopped second hand (still do at 62 and empty nest 😊) I cooked from scratch. I look back and the most beautiful memories I have are my children and things we did together or conversations we had, a lot of which I would not of experienced if I was away 9-10 hour a day.
This was an inspiring video.. thank you! Your daughter is blessed!🥰
This is just my experience and mine only. Everyone has to do what they have to do for their situation. Yet, if a mom could stay home, it is the most fulfilling journey. You are not only there for your most precious beings but you find yourself. ❣

I love everything you said! Thank you so much for sharing your story with me as well. I can relate to every bit of it. I agree, It really does depend on our priorities and our mindsets. Sometimes we may go without the fancy stuff but the time we invest has an incredible impact as you know. Those conversations you had and memories of the time with your children, are such beautiful treasures. I hope to encourage others to always see the value and beauty in it. ❤️🌸🌺

I’m working through your beautiful vlogs backwards and you just answered all my questions.
I’m glad you did that and I loved you immediately on watching but now I respect your choices and values so much more.
I am 58 and had a big career and 2 gorgeous boys (now men) and now care for my father and have more time but not endless gaps by any means - but the difference is my time is filled with meaning and purpose.

Just found you and backtracked a couple of years to this video which I found immensely helpful even though I am at a different life stage. After working enormously hard all my life to raise my beautiful child on my own - now a fine young man with his own career, life and home, I find myself at retirement age with limited funds. Nonetheless I want to retire and have time for me now before it is too late. I have many interests and hobbies and love being a homemaker still - even if it is just for me and my visitors. Thank you.

Superb Video! Great advice on how to live and do it wisely:) Your right, me and my husband will notice how people seem to have to be on the go constantly. We enjoy being at home more than ever and we have wonderful experiences such as sitting around a fire pit and having great conversation. Going out to eat is very expensive and I prepare meals that are good for us and budgeting is essential in life and having a different perspective on how we view what we want verses what we need. You brought up some very important points and living each day and taking it a day at a time is good too. Thanks for the video! It was very good😄

I have a red that’s called Exhilarator that’s like a bright red and an ink crayon that’s sort of a mauve pink called Stay Exceptional. In this video I am wearing a burts bees lip stain that I don’t know the name of cause it’s worn off. But it’s like a cherry color.

I am newly retired and love being at home. I am a quilter and love to sew as a way to give gifts. I have been doing great at simplifying these last 5 years to prepare for retirement and have been doing well-except when it comes to my sewing supplies and fabric! It’s really its own subject that I rarely hear anything about in the crafting world. So I am looking forward to hearing some basic principles that will help me be more mindful and use what I have. Being a single Mom for27 years left me little savings but I know I will be OK if I keep on the simplifying track. I love the coffee conversations and would welcome more!
