It wasn't too bad of a job and you can definitely do it yourself at home. This video could possibly be used as a GUIDE/DIY/HOW TO/TUTORIAL to help you replace the brake pads and rotors on a 2009-2016 AUDI B8/B8.5 A4/S4 A5/S5. Thank you ‪@fcpeuro‬ for the parts!

    I bought the Brembo Xtra Brake Kit front and rear. My car is grinding really bad and winter is coming (snow) so I want to have good brakes.

      @@cjscarcollection18 did you use any grease for the brakes? I know some people put some sort of grease on the caliper and the bolts

      @jeremyocampo1529 yes just a little on those moving parts

    I did my brakes exactly as you said in the video, but my pedal now goes halfway down before the brakes start to do their job. Was perfectly fine with my old pads and rotors and they were nowhere near as worn as yours were. Any insights? Zimmerman coated rotors and Akebono ceramic pads.

      Hmmmm I see. Here are a few ideas that crosses my mind:
      1) I assume you already put enough miles on it to remove all the rotor coating?
      2) Followed the bedding procedure?
      3) Ceramics don't have that initial bite like semi-metallics which was why I went with semi-metallics rather than ceramics. Ceramics need some more pedal travel and heat before they start to bite better.
      4) I would just recheck everything again to make sure they are all installed correctly and I would bleed the system too just incase(although I don't believe there should be any air in the system unless a bleeder was opened).
      5) Check and clean the caliper guide pins/sliders and boot.

      @@cjscarcollection18I appreciate the reply! Turns out I let the passenger front caliper drop a little too far and now I have a brake fluid leak from where the line meets the caliper so that’s 100% my issues :( Thank you again.

    Trying to do the same driver side and passenger side how do I keep the caliper carrier off the rotor , when I go to tighten the 13mm and 22m the calipers carrier locks onto the rotors

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your calipers are most likely not seated correctly onto the wheel hub

    You didn't bed them into your rotors that why it was sounds bad when you did your test drive

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, bed them correctly per Zimmerman's instruction. It was just the very first few brake pedal push breaking away the coating on the rotors. Have put alot more miles on the new brakes and car feels good.
