    I cannot express how thankful I am for you and this video. I used your video to modify my daughter’s dance bag. Updating the original duffel bag into the new and improved duffel bag was literally a marathon! I even got frustrated and had to take a break from it. But Omygosh, I am so glad that I persevered because she absolutely loves it and I do too. I am so amazed that I made a duffel bag and I am so thankful for your video. I could not have done this without you. Thank you so much for your content. Keep doing what your doing. It is working by helping to empower people like me. Stay blessed.

    This tutorial was so informative! I am making it now and ready to put the lining in. ! Had such a good time and I impressed my husband😊! I made the large and will do the medium and small too for gifts. Thank you so much. I like how you just do the class and not all the chatting.

    Thank you for the awesome tutorial! I bought this pattern to make my daughter a Harry Potter duffel and was a little intimidated when I downloaded the pattern. Your tutorial helped me be successful and the bag turned out so nice! I added more inside pockets, but other than that, I followed your lead! I am looking forward to watching your other videos!

    Made 2 of these Jess. You were with me all the way. All my family are duffel bag nuts, just like you and I. Cannot get enough of them. Thanks for the Great Tutorial. When I come to Florida I am going to look you up as I owe you a hug. Please get rid of that Covid before I come. I will take you out for lunch or Dinner. Or, you could show me your favorite Disney place. That would be so fun.. Take care, see you with the next fantastic Tutorial.

    Love, love, love this bag. I'm going to visit my daughter, it's an overnight mother/daughter visit. I needed a bag to just big enough to carry clean sweats and personal items. I didn't want a book bag type and everything I see in the stores are just too big. The small one is just perfect! I will be making it out of different shades of denium with a matching "personal items" bag. Thanks for making the video, mistakes and all, it's perfect!

    I DID IT!!!! Oh my gosh... my bag turned out so well! Granted there are mistakes... that dagone hidden zipper was my worst enemy!!! Also, I wish there would have been more details about the piping; the size of piping more specifically. I started with 1/2" piping which didn't work so well. But I ended up making my own in a different color which made my bag look even better. I honestly cannot believe how good it turned out, or that I made it!!! It really is a great bag! Thanks Jess, if not for you there's no way I would've even thought about making this bag!

    Hi Jess
    Love the videos. Would the large bag be alright for my sewing machine it's only small but didn't come with a cover.
    Thanks Kim.
    Keep up the good work

    Great Job Jess!! I will have to figure out how to do it without doing the drop-in lining. I hate drop-in's but this one doesn't look that bad seeing as the bag is huge. 😁 Would also be cute making a smaller one than the suggested like at 80%, or smaller. I like the little ones best.

    • @OklaRoots
      @OklaRoots  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The drop in lining for this wasn't bad at all! And I do think the small version was easier, you don't have as much material going all over the place.

    Jess, I have a hard time attaching the strap anchors to sides, too. It drives me nuts when that second line of stitching by the D ring is off. I was wondering, when I saw you just stitch the long sides of the webbing, if you could run a line of stitching across the webbing below the D ring, about 1/2” or more away. That would be a lone line of stitching (read: no matching!) and would add support/lower weight stress on the D Ring and top of the webbing.

    • @OklaRoots
      @OklaRoots  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great idea Kris. As long as you extend the fold over that holds on to the d-ring I think it would work.

      I'm here to help, Debbie 😁. It's a big bag, and the sides can be frustrating (mine never sewed on completely perfect) but looks great when it's done. Let me know if you make it!
