I recently became the worship arts director for a church here in Los Angeles, and boy have I felt overwhelmed and underprepared. this is my first time being in this position, but God has brought me to it, and will see me through it! with that, thank you for these videos, I've found them to be encouraging and very helpful, and practical! God bless you
Hi there, thanks so much for this series of videos!!! I cannot tell you how grateful i am. I am a new worship leader and my senior pastor has been saying over and over that i should minister to the congregation between songs and i had no idea how to do that till i found your channel. I would literally just sing song after song only and then nod to the transitioner🤦🏽♀️I have started now and i cannot tell you how pleased my pastor is. I genuinely feel that the Lord is ministering through me more now as well. I am currently preparing for easter sunday. Please do a similar video to this one on how to minister between songs on easter Sunday specifically. Given that it’s a special Sunday i’m worried about overlapping too much with the sermon. Thanks
I found your videos for the first time last week and started listening to them. I put the info into practice last Sunday and already the way I lead worship has improved. I'm so excited, waiting for next Sunday to practice what I just learnt from this video. Thank you so much.
Your videos are sooo helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make all of these videos. They have helped me so much as I have started my journey to become a good worship leader. God bless😊
This is excellent! Thank you for taking the time to make this video! Can't believe how few views there are...regardless, you are doing a really great job! Information was clear, concise and incredibly practical....and something that the average Joe or Jane, in my case, can feel like they can begin applying.
Yessss mid worship it’s not a sermon 🙌🏼😂 lol Drives me crazy when there’s a sermon during worship before the sermon, women worship leaders talk way too much in transition songs...I like to talk a lot but I don’t lead worship. Haha Great tips;)
I agree you have to take worshipleading seriously and you have to prepare yourself every time you're in this ministry. But I find your video's a bit too much man-focussed. I'm sorry. Yes you cán premeditate and write everything down in advance, knowing when you're gonna say what and how, and for some people that maybe works well, but you hardly ever talk about 'giving Gods Holy Spirit room' in your videos. To prepare yourself in such a way that His Spirit can move and communicates through you as a worship leader. That He can put thoughts in your mind, impressions in your heart and words in your mouth. Yes you have to pay attention on what's happening in the service and in the crowd, but more than that you'll have to be sensitive on what God want's to do and say. I know worship is to exalt Jesus, that it is our affection towards Him but music and worship is an instrument or vessel for the Holy Spirit to move, work and speak. Therefore I think there's a difference between "praise" and "worship". To know what you're doing and why, to prepare, is good yes. But please don't lose sight of His Spirit. Don't orchestrate every aspect of the service or your ministry. It is not a business presentation. As a leader, let yourself be led in dependence and humility.
