I did the five last November and then back the following week to do another 3 and had the same sunny weather each time, unreal for the time of the year. Its a canny pull up to Grisedale Pike mind, never bloody ending but what a cracking horseshoe it is, I really enjoyed it. Yeah, I parked where you parked but I was cursing all the way back from the village up that road back to the car and the end of the day LOL! That kills me, when I am huffing and puffing on the way up and somebody 'runs' passed me 😡. Aw, that was a shame you bonny young lass went back, as it looked worse than it actually was and if an old git like me can do it, she would have beasted it. My second one was Hopegill Head, which was just round the corner from the Pike and then a drop down to Crag Hill, shame you did not include that, as it would have been a nice easy one for you. The views you got were unreal, stunning and gutted for your lass she missed out on it. Where you parked you can go there other way from your car and walk the miners route on the Valley floor and up to the base of Crag Hill, which I am going to do as I am to bag Grassmore and Wandope, without going up Grisedale Pike again, maybe an option for your lass if she still does not fancy the Pike. My friend wanted to do with horseshoe with me but wanted to so 8 Wainwrights in one day, which would be imposable for me, especially as she is 28 years young than me too lol. It took me almost 8 hours to do the 5 I did manage to do, so you did it in a real good time in just over 5 hours, shows how quick you were and how slow I am lol! Nice to see you meeting up with your lass again, real good walk, brought back good memories and a very good watch, cheers Alan

Boss mate, Great to see you've boxed them off as well, some fantastic fells up on that route Alan, stunning when you get the sunny weather. I did read there is more fells people add onto the route but as I'm following the 36 walks, I just tend to do the ones he has set out. We recently done the Kentmere HS and there are some sketchy parts on that, Dom actaully realised that she could of done the walk but just got scared for some reason, so I will go back and do it again at some point with her. I know that feeling walking back the car knackered and people fly past lol. Thanks for watching mate

Great walk and accent - nice route thanks for that. It's a shame she turned round. I neither ever worried about drops until a year ago at 60 with a dodgy knee it made me fel not so confident and sometimes a bit unsure but all my life previously no problem.

One of the best Wainwright bagging routes this for me, We ended up doing it again about a year later as she had to otherwise she wouldn't of been able to complete the wainwrights, she did say the second time she didn't know why she started to feel like that, I don't tent to get bothered by most things on mountains but sometimes it can just come out of nowhere, don't let your knee knock your confidence mate 💪thanks for watching 👍

That looked absolutely class mate, the weather and the hike was mint 👌 I've never done that hike but it's definitely one the bonny lads will be doing this year after watching this 👀 🙂 Brilliant video Matt mate, all the best Chris 👏👍

What a shame she went back .
I’d rather go up Grisedale than descend between Crag Hill and Sail.
Another lovely vid thanks for sharing 🙏🙏🙏

We was talking about this walk the other day, we drove up really early and had about 3 coffees before we started, if she has to much caffeine she starts getting anxious on the high fells 😂😂😂 we will go back in a few months and re do it 👌

Another great vlog Matt very well documented. I did that walk early April and the zig zag path was full of melting snow looked amazing from a distance. Will definitely do the Coledale horse shoe again in the future as like you said it’s a great walk with fantastic views. ATB Karl.
