2:48 I love how you made sure to explain to everyone that we *_DEFINITELY_* have the prerequisites at this point because holy crap did Streamer Luck not activate for you this run LMAO
honestly. my favorite id growing coils or triple helix to easier pour attacks into them gods at minimum hera hestia demeter it becomes a TON of close range chip damage and the added hera special makes it a solid mob cleaner too
Honestly this is why I run the vow where it cuts the two unselected boons from the pool. There's a risk, sure, but I think it largely helps you when trying to force a duo
@PhoenixofEclipse oh yeah definitely. Its honestly free heat/fear. Especially in higher fear where you need to force certain builds/optimize id say 99% of the time it helps you. Just be careful and know what you may need later if you can't take it early.
Glad we got a run for Moros that went off. This Aspect is weird because when it goes off, it absolutely destroys, but it's awkward in the first biome or two as you wait to get all the pieces necessary. That makes it a difficult high-Fear weapon, imo, cuz an early start is everything.
27:54 I really want more gods, not a lot more but at least some. It feels so weird having npcs talk about Ares & Athena but they are nowhere to be found. Especially when the setting of the plot is a war?????
Actually it probably is the best torches. Let me explain. It uses omega special and spam attack at close range. It detonated your attacks pretty often leading to a lot of close range damage. It probably has the capability to do more damage than even mel torches. Yeah it is magic intensive because we just didn't need flames, we need a lot of flames to detonate attack pretty consistently. With setup like the video one, it can deal huge damage.
@@thamsan101 Isn't it a good thing? Because with ghosts stopping it, you can manage it better but I guess letting it pass is better. A much better way to use it with omega special and attack spam.
@@ikelos8190 because shes a goddess of marriage. Hitch has a meaning of 'tieing a knot' Getting Hitched means getting married. Hera Special + Aphro attack is so good with this aspect tho. Triple Helix works well with this aspect too because your attacks will always instantly hit the omega Special.
I think you're sleeping a bit on this aspect. Using the Omega Special and going for an close range AoE playstyle is pretty good. With the specials orbiting around you, just throw out your attack and they explode around you. Specially good had you taken the Triple Helix hammer. Bit risky tho. Edit: Ok you did realize it after taking the second hammer. I was just surprised you didn't take it with the first one. Also I wasn't sure hammer offers came back if you didn't take them, thanks for confirming that too.
Moros stonks are rising...! It's my favorite aspect, because it feels like the one where every part of the weapon has to be used. Normal attacks and specials for long distance or at low mag, and Omega special and attack for melting... It just feels good. Meg is probably still better, but it's just so boring!
Can you one-shot chronos with Nasty Comeback, when he does his own one shot move? Or do you need to tank the hit for the revenge damage to actually trigger?
You definitely don't need 3 gods in the pool for a duo, I got spooned with the Zeus/Apollo duo in Erebus on a Charron run before I had my 3rd god, so it's not that. I swear there's something weird with the "Trial of the Gods" rooms. Any time I've gone for one of those rooms and wanted the duo boon for those gods, it either takes me forever to get it, or I never see it in the run. It makes me wonder if there's something like the next X times you see either of them they can't offer duo, or a lower chance for it, or the one that you didn't choose can't offer it, or something. I completely avoid Trials now if I want the duo from the gods there. Maybe it's just bad luck, but it feels super weird to then see *so many boons* from both without the duo.
Hearing your complaints about not hitting the duo is salt in the wound of the Aspect of Than run I just had. Started Aphro keepsake and took her every chance I could, never once offered me the attack. Never not activating The Champions again.
I've left Hades 2 for the season of diablo 4, got enough fun from it so I'm back. I'll probably leave again for the DLC of Elden Ring, but I also don't plan on really leaving Hades 2 for real. I still haven't done fear 32 (only 16), nor have I unlocked and maxed out everything (still missing one aspect to unlock and 2/3 of them aren't maxed out). Also, Born again + Hera's legendary is insane. Add Echo's dodge to it and it becomes even more disgusting.
I feel so vindicated seeing haelian struggle so much to get the duo lmao. When i was fishing for legendaries to complete the prophecies, i got the requirements for Hephaestus leg, in erebus, like six runs in a row? And the legendary never once showed up. I ended up having to bring the vow that removes boons from the pool to get them.
For me experimental hammer is strictly for Tartarus after getting the 3rd hammer from Echo in hopes that I get an anvil at the end shop so that the 5 hammers can ruin the build and I get trashed by Kronos lol
i once got a run using the vow of forsaking, i was in the last shop before chronos and im still looking for a duo boon, even when the only boons left were the duo and 3 other ones, i rolled twice and still didn’t get it
I actually left Hades 2 for Hades 1. when I realised how good these games are and how little I played the first games (about 13 hours) I though to myself „let’s revisit the first game and complete it and wait for full release for hades 2 instead of overplaying it and then don’t play the other content“
I think there should be a fear setting where you can add more required chambers in the express route in Tartarus, increasing the amount of rooms you have to clear before reaching Chronos. I'm curious how they're going to handle the epilogue/post game content, since presumably we'll have at least ousted Chronos to beat the game, and you can't really repurpose the runs like Hades 1 where Zagreus was conveniently offered the job of doing what he's been doing for Underworld security purposes. You can't really keep fighting Chronos if we chop him up again or something to that effect. Baby steps, I suppose.
Maybe we are going to trap time itself in a loop or something. This allows us to visit the realm to continue gathering strength or something, or keep him weak since he needs to remain trapped. Kind of a "Dormamu" situation
Did he not realize he didn't have the Vow that prevents unchosen Boons from being re-offered? Stuff like saying "How are there still so many left?" when buying from the final shop makes me wonder. Hera has 13 normal boons so you're not going to totally deplete her offerings without that vow.

@@HerMi.T Yeah, plenty. I'm not saying he doesn't know how the game works, it just seems like he forgot here. The only reasonable alternative I can think of is "he forgot how many boons a God has," which seems less likely, but still possible. It's not like it's impossible to make a silly mistake while streaming, with your attention divided. See his Judgement run where he managed to briefly convince himself that the "number of boons" counter was a "number of active arcana" counter (despite having a boon symbol next to it), and then managed to convince himself he only had 12 Grasp active (instead of having only SPENT 12 Grasp at the start of the run) despite having JUST worked out that he had 22 arcana active. Silly mistakes, but that's just the nature of streaming, trying to divide your attention between gameplay, commentary and reading/responding to chat. I don't see "how are there still so many left?" makes sense as a thing to say unless you're convinced in that moment that either (a) you've gotten ~10 standard boons from the same god, or (b) that you have the vow that eliminates unchosen boons. I just don't understand what that means otherwise, given that your chance for a duo boon is fixed (based on the arcana that improves your chance of getting one to 10%), unless the god has literally no other choice but to offer you it.
But also, I believe the Codex reads from the same spot as the internal logic for determining if you can get a boon, so the codex will always be correct.
I don't think you were wrong about this aspect - Omega special with massive damage boon and various damage bonuses carried this build through most of the damage - the aspect gave you a little extra room clear in the earlier rooms maybe? But looked clunky. Not convinced by it
I personally noticed that Hera really liked giving the zeus duo but not any other
Considering it's about sacrificing all of his boons, that makes sense.
That is her brother/spouse. Perhaps it's on purpose.
Can't blame her for wanting to keep him in check around a woman
Wait a minute "brother/spouse?" Is that accurate to Greek mythology? That's pretty fucked if so 😂

I dunno if it got better over the update, but this aspect was so painful for me as the little ghosts would constantly get stuck on each other
