theres an incantation for that lets you intereact with the golden petal tree which will reveal where all the items are in the room that would save you major time in those rooms
You need to interact with the burned out tree in the middle of the room, that will unlock the incantation to buy. Then the golden petals on the ground will lead you to the tree in each encounter.
Just a tip for speedrunning, if that was your goal from the start of this run - you always want to take the first shop (aka mid shop) of the biome regardless of if you have money or not. The reason is it is a free room you don't have to spend time clearing. You can skip the second shop of each biome though, since the last room will be a free reward (no enemies). I noticed you skipped the mid shop in the first zone. Nice run though! Edit: Big chop doesn't prevent you from spinning. The way the spin works, is it starts charging after your attack finishes, so if you keep holding it you can spin. The best way to spin with the chop hammer tho, is to dash strike and keep holding attack button down, way faster to get to the spin that way.
@@SyrobePLUS same for all biomes. Taking chaos instead of a normal door was also considered the fastest routing in hades 1 for the same reason, so I'm assuming it's the same in hades 2. And miniboss doors too (skull icon), assuming your build is strong enough to clear them faster than a normal enounter (cuz they have multiple waves that take time to spawn). Though some of the minibosses in hades 2 are pretty annoying and tanky/armored lol. Like that tree thing in the first zone with all its armor that spams the spin shooting move. I'd be inclined to avoid that early on before I have a lot of damage. The miniboss rooms in biome 3 I could see saving a lot of time though
@@SyrobePLUS obviously this is for the first game, but a lot of the routing and buffering tips will carry over to hades 2. i recommend watching it if you're interested in speedrunning either game th-cam.com/video/0QorLnTthIU/w-d-xo.html
the big chop does not stop you from spinning it just make it alot slower trust me i know i screwed up a great spin run by taking it and it was alot harder to get the spin off i started dash striking instead
There are trees in that you can activate that will show you the path. Not the ones that lead you out of the room but more in the center so you can ignore the golden road.
Cool to see the different builds people come up with. I really enjoy your Hades II videos and commentary, hope to see more! Also, I think your thumbnails go hard.
as a completely new player to the franchise i recently got a run with the blades at 14:11:40 in game time. I just checked my stats and saw that I had a run like that im pretty sure it was prob aspect of pan with poseidon special + 16 special hammer boon thing but am unsure because i never really checked time and stuff after runs. I'm very curious as to how fast other ppl have gotten their runs. I feel like sub 10:00 is very doable if you know what you are going for and also are TRYING to optimize speed and damage. I'm a complete noob so i still take random deaths in the starting location XD. I also recently got an 18:48 with aspect of momus using the poseidon special + slip + hestia ranged cast + cast does scorch combo. I did get the duo boon as well so the run was very blessed. The only thing that would make it better is if i had an epic+ tier poseidon special (its the main build tbh just get that + double cast special hammer boon and you win XD)
17:52 you dont pick "Double Up", and it's not mid at all, its actually very powerful It can give u double rewards for Upgrade Poms, Selene Boon and Centaur Hearts (and maybe more), which is something u want for any build and yours specifically as it would upgrade your Aphrodite Boon for +Attack% The Tooltip is really mid tho lmao, maybe its a bug, hopefully not.
You can actually aim the third chop on the axe and the special omega. If you click immediately after the animation plays with your cursor in the direction you want you can change the direction. It works on dodges and mid animation.
I think you can get the same results as this build with the heph / hera duo. 200% multiplier on your base attack. stack that with apollo's double hit boon and that's basically it. there's an upgrade in the wolf howl hex that allows you to have 100% crit chance, but i think that's too rng-based. and if you wanna get even more crazy you can get the heph legendary which gives you an extra rank on your aspect even if it's maxxed out (e.g. mel's aspect rank 5 > 6) so you'll get even more attack speed. and the hermes attack speed boon too
I think you actually could just keep hitting chronos at phase 2 when he channels the 999 hit no matter where the safe spot is, you had 3 lives and you've got the dps so it's kind of worthy to use one of you lives
I also managed to get a 18 min run with the aspect of pan with the twin blades. Using the Aphrodite special with the right hammers makes it super strong
I watched this vid thinking you were a big youtuber bc of the quality. Under 964 subs? Nice work man keep it up and you will grow quickly. (965 now lol)
I'm more impressed by the fact you managed to get 3 hammers without using the anvil at the end shop. I haven't even thought about how echo could make that possible. I don't know if that's even an intended possibility, but it feels hella broken, especially if you've played tf out of Hades 1 and think about all the new possibilities.
yes i intended to use the hammer last just in case but its never guaranteed that echo can do that tbh was just really lucky i do hammers last a lot in that area just for echo but sometimes u just dont get a hammer and sometimes echo doesnt do the duplicate (just had 2 runs no echo duplicate)
I did it randomly a couple runs ago, now whenever I see a Hammer in a Fields room, I make sure to take it last in case Echo is in the next room. It's definitely not consistent but super fun when it works.
Crazy good run, gonna have to try this for my next run. Btw, you can still use the spin with big chop. You just need to hold down the attack button for the entire duration of the big chop animation and the reset until it activates. It’s really bad lol, but possible.
Great build. The only thing I don't like about the combat in the game (except the slower pace compared to the first game) is the fact that the Omega Moves have the same input as the Regular moves, so if you want to trigger Whirlwind for example you have to first do the first Attack animation and then the Whirlwind starts loading.
Either of the Demeter Casts and Aphrodite Attack is basically 100% the highest damage and safest strategy with the least investment and luck. Obviously, getting two curses puts P-Status or whatever it's called in this game online, so if you get Hera Attack or something like that, that'll do more DPS to mobs but less to bosses. There's a lot of ways to crank the DPS, and usually getting one good combo together will absolutely shred.
Try start slam attack and THEN do the dash immediately after click, it makes slam instead of uppercut. But again it is hard to target because of how slam targets
Can always go the glass cannon route using artemis keepsake for 40% crit chance when its max rank - but you cant have more than 30HP for it to be active so very squishy
Currently my best time doing this is 16:40 underworld using Aspect of Pan daggers with Poseidon and Zeus boons - the 30hp is basically a non-issue until the Chronos fight because he hurts like a MF
I actually think the big chop is really bad exactly because of armor. It doesn't matter if you can hit for 9999 damage if you have to hit even basic shit twice to kill it.
dash strikes to take the armour down and if that isnt enough then theres a good chance you would have had to have done at least 2 swings on them, bordering the chop anyways
I am not at all a speed runner or for that matter, good at hades. That being said, my first attempt at chronos i did his first phase in about 60 sec and then died to the one shot mechanic in 2nd like a dumdum. I think if you had my build you probably would have cleared 18 min pretty easy. The main focus of the build is smithy sprint with poms to lvl it ( i was doing 500 dmg per blast ever 1 sec or so) vent for another 500 dmg when u cant hit the boss and gotta do "avoid mechanics" nitro boots for an instance of dmg immunity while sprinting ( this is the hardest boon to get since u cant force hermes out with a trinket, and i forget the name of the last boon but it regens mana while u are in ur cast. Getting smithy sprint early is most important so you have time to pom it up and any dmg u can add to your cast is great if you find a good boon for that. I think you could also get zeuses lightning dmg sprint boon too which would really speed things up but im unsure if theres a limit on how many boons can affect sprint. I was not trying to be fast at all and i dont pause to stop the timer, but i failed that run at 27min to chronos 2nd phase 1 shot mechanic... normally i take about 45min or more to even get to cerberus, so this was crazy fast for me.
%20 run speed for 10 gold for 5 encounters from the well of Charon and you did not pick that one up man! It is always a given form me, since it is significant boost for 10 gold. Strange.
@@teohongwei4180 absolutely does for some of the bosses. It won’t bind them like a normal enemy but it does restrict their movements. Polyphemus is another good example of this. The funny thing is I only found this out because @SyrobePLUS had a cast build that I tried and was just spamming casts on the bosses, but now he won’t believe me lol
The 4000 damage at 28:50 is because of the boon you took from Hades, "Chronos has -20% health". Great run!
yeah i got that one specifically i thought it meant like starts with 20% less Max hp lmao
21:56 "we got really really lucky with the rooms not being super giant" but... they're all Supergiant
theres an incantation for that lets you intereact with the golden petal tree which will reveal where all the items are in the room that would save you major time in those rooms

what is it called??? i beat chronos multiple times and i dont see it in the cauldron
@@SyrobePLUS "Reviving A Mournful Husk" is the name of the incantation
You need to interact with the burned out tree in the middle of the room, that will unlock the incantation to buy. Then the golden petals on the ground will lead you to the tree in each encounter.
was about to type this
the golden pebbles lead you to the tree that you can click.. and then it shows the locations
You gotta find the tree the golden pedals lead you too then interact with it, then it gives you arrows to items and exits
