You have restored my cake pop making confidence! I'm planning a Drive-Up baby shower for my sister in 2 weeks. I've been having a hard time finding someone locally to make them for me, so I've been watching tutorials to learn how to make them myself. You have saved the day with your tutorial. The few I watched weren't as easy to follow as yours. I'm totally going to make these with the theme colors; thank you!
Wow this recipe is amazing! I love how you can just use let over pieces of cake instead of making one yourself lol. I love how beautiful your cake pops came out! I'm going to have to give this a try! 💗
i would love to make these now that we are quarantined ugh its terrible having to stay at home but this looks so fun and plus my daughter would enjoy these
Just discovered your channel and I am LOVING the powder, sprinkle, and other decorations!! Do you have a place you recommend to buy baking supplies online? Like the gold glitter in your chocolate bomb recipe or the gold sprinkles here?
This is so easy! The first time I made them was a failure but I think I finally know how to do it:) Thank you so much since I needed this to make them for a graduation :)
Hi I know this is old vid but I just tried this and I don't have time tonight to dip them in chocolate can I leave the cake balls in the fridge overnight?
I bought the candy melts and cake pop sticks from Michaels but you can find them at most cake decorating stores or online. You also need cake and buttercream :)
Regular chocolate should work as well! It might be a little trickier to work with depending on which kind you use, if it's too thick you can add a little bit of coconut oil to make it easier to dip.
There is an Italian Meringue Buttercream tutorial on my channel! That is the buttercream I used here but you can use any kind you like. Store bought would work as well, although I think homemade tastes a lot better!
As you did the cake pops into the candy melts, do you ever have to reheat the melts? Wondering if the candy melts start to thicken up with all the cold pops dipping in.
I've never personally had that problem but it's definitely possible. If the candy melts start to get thick just pop them in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to loosen them back up.
As long as the chocolate is still melted it will solidify and act as an adhesive on the cake ball, so it's okay if it starts to cool down a bit as you're using it as long as it's still a liquid consistency
I used chocolate cake and chocolate Italian meringue buttercream. I made my own cake that's similar to a devils food cake and there's a video on my channel for the buttercream, but you can use pretty much any cake and frosting for this! The sprinkles are from Michaels. Hope that helps :)
Can I prepare cake pops one day before of my daughters birthday? Can I keep in freezer or refrigerator? Can you tell me how to store in refrigerator? Reply me
@@Areesa thanks. I made mine using cocktail sticks and yeah, they did NOT hold. So I ended up with uneven pops, but they were still delicious. A little bit sweet tho, but I'm not really one for sweet things, so makes sense. 😂😂😂😂 I do like sweet things but not things that are too sweet. All of my family loved them though, so thanks for the amazing recipe. It might be because I used water icing to stick the cake together, and I used dark chocolate to coat them. I also used Friands instead of cakes because I forgot to melt the butter in my Friands And they curdled, so they were a bit small when I got them out so I turned them into cake pops. I love Friands. Lemon and almond Friands, mmmmmmm yummy. I just used whatever I could get hold of to turn a mistake into something lovely, so yeah. Luckily when I got the Friands out of the oven they tasted good, they had just sunk. Thank you again, Areesa for the amazing recipe. ♡♡♡♡♡ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ (^-^)
@@koalanoodle689 Good for you for turning a mistake into something your family loved! I find cake pops a bit too sweet too haha. You're very welcome, glad it was helpful :)
@@Areesa Thank you for the awesome recipe, and tips too. I hope I have the need to watch a video of yours again when I make so etching else. I made whipped shortbread this morning, actually, and next up on Wednesday, is pomegranate torte!
The thickness tends to vary quite a bit, I didn’t have to add anything when I made these. If it’s too thick add a little bit (start with just a few drops) of coconut oil to thin it out. I’ve also heard vegetable shortening works if you don’t have coconut oil. Hope that helps!
I have an Italian meringue buttercream tutorial on my channel (that’s what I use here and it tastes really good)! But you can use a simple American buttercream (pretty much just butter & icing sugar) or you can even use pre-made frosting from the grocery store.
Yes! The chocolate might be a little bit thicker once melted, you can add a few drops of coconut oil or a bit of vegetable shortening if you need to thin it out a bit.
hi there this is so beautiful however I want to use banana pops instead of cake, shud I freeze the banana and then cover it with melted choc and do I put it back in the freezer ? or do I use a banana at room temperature, cover it with melted chocolate and put that in the freezer ? I am just worried about the pop cracking - whats the best work around?
I've never tried this with a banana, I'm not sure if you want the banana to be frozen when you eat it or not. If not, I would just drizzle a lot of chocolate on the banana rather than freezing/dipping as I don't think a frozen banana will return to room temperature with a nice consistency. But, if you want frozen banana pops then I'd recommend freezing, dipping, then freezing. I don't think you should have a problem with cracking, but maybe try a couple first and see how it goes? Hope that helps!

Oh no! Don't worry it's not your fault! Sometimes I get candy melts that are really thick when melted. I think that happens if they haven't been stored correctly before you buy them. If that happens again you can add a little bit of coconut oil or vegetable shortening when they're melted to thin it out.

When u dipped the stick into the melted chocolate to put into the cake pop was the melted chocolate still hot or was it cool?

What kind of butter cream did you use
