I've used one of those Bautista bats for the last 3yrs, things a UNIT.

I actually work at marucci sports in baton rouge and I'm a inventory specialist that checks in all the bats that come from the companies. I freaking love my job. We definitely look for a good quality with all the bats we handle, I can assure you.

Pro Tip: Always get your bat cupped with the largest cup available. Cupping is used to reduce bat weight so you have to start with a more dense billet when you cup your bat down to its custom weight.

AM22 is a great bat. Everyone's swing is different. If it felt better than the AP5 to you, then you made a great choice.

Am22 is the first bat I’ve ever picked up and immediately said “this one”

My 16YO son just got one. Hasn't had a chance to use it in game yet because season is over.
I watch all these guys reviews and I was hoping to convince him to try an Old Hickory, Batsmith Birch or a B45 Birch. Hopefully the AM22 will work for him.

I had a custom drop 2 AP5 and that thing hit absolute nukes but it was a LOG to swing. Picked up a regular lindy and it swings so much better but the pop just is not the same in my opinion

You guys should try the JB19 Jose Bautista model. A teammate of mine back in the day had it and it was crazy balanced for a wood bat model, felt like a drop 5 to me.

i think if you just went for hard liners and grounders, the exit velos would be higher...you guys were going for Jacks and the launch angle gets higher but the velos get lower...if you check out the fastest exit velos in major leagues, they are on line drives and grounders....don't get caught up in numbers especially on balls that are lifted...great video Guys...love it

Hey bat bros so I've been swinging the 2020 rawlings velo acp for a while and it's been ok but Its a 31 inch and I'm getting bigger and I'm going to have to get a 33 so it's the right size and I've been swinging the cat 8 and I love it it has a lot of pop but I hear the cat 9 is really good should I save my money and get the cat 8 or get the cat 9 for more money or should I just get a totally different bat I'm more of a contact hitter and I'm in 8th grade playing jv baseball.

You should do this same test in reverse order of the bats to determine if it was fatigue that caused the decline in both EV and distance.
Our best exit velos were with the last bat though..

I turned my own bat out of maple, came out to 33.5" and 33 oz which is really heavy. But I had higher exit velos on it than my cat 7 connect 33" 30oz
