@@physic_flickzzz9482 I know this comment is old but you can't control if a bad hop is gonna happen. You can still get hit with the ball and know how to field
@Rooster Cogburns Eyepatch My cousin took one off the forehead from a Black Z-Core Connexion (which is what I assume you were talking about) but in a fastpitch softball tournament. Pitcher is only about 40' from home after releasing the ball. Screaming line drive right back at his face. He ducked just enough for it to ricochet off his forehead and go about 100' into the air. I was playing 3rd and caught the ball on the way down for the out just as my cousin was waking up from laying flat on his back. He had an enormous goose-egg on his head but refused to go to the walk in clinic and actually pitched the evening game that night, lol. But that's fastpitch players for you. Oh, and I went out and bought one of those bats the next week, lol. Made a completely different sound, the softball felt and sounded like a hardball going off of the bat. It was awesome...
Mackey P I don’t think this specific model was ever in a -3 bbcor version. They only created it in a -5 which means high schoolers except maybe freshman in the summer travel ball season can use this bat. This was never used in college, they have a bbcor version that isn’t nearly as good for obvious reasons. The fact of the matter is, it isn’t banned completely in USSSA which is insane because it is beyond good.
No way that stealth comp is broken in. That was the bat when I was playing in college. It has a much deeper sound when broken in. The one y’all are swinging sounds new. They take forever to break in.
I’ve got a softball one so it might be different. I got it 4th or 5th hand and had it for two years. I can’t remember the last time I hit a single with it. If I get any barrel on the ball it’s going to the fence. It was a very different story 2 years ago when I got it, I had a season with only 3 balls to the fence. I stopped using it in juniors cause I was afraid it would kill the pitcher especially since the pitcher is way too close in softball. I took it to a state training with some older guys and they were hitting line drive homers like Stanton. It just keeps getting stronger.
@@PerforatedPaperboy it’s composite so the things in the bat need to get farther away from each other for the ball to go farther. So the things in the bat are all packed in and each swing the things in the bat go farther and farther away
@@PerforatedPaperboy I understand this comment is a year old, and you probably either already figured this out or don't care anymore, but I'll explain (this is gonna get technical and wordy, I'm sorry). In baseball bat/ball collision physics (that's a strange phrase), there is a concept called the "trampoline effect", whereby the physical compression and depression of the material that makes up the bat either dampens or strengthens the exit velocity of the hit via inertia. In composite bats especially, the trampoline effect is very pronounced in old bats where the adhesive binding the layers of carbon fiber breaks down, which causes the overall stiffness of the composite to be lessened. While this may seem counter-intuitive, the softness of the fiber causes greater trampoline effects on contact, creating higher exit velocities. In part with the discovery of the "Trampoline Effect", it was clear that modern composite and metal alloys were presenting a massive safety concern for high school and college defenders, due to the heightened exit velocities giving infielders, and the pitcher especially, less time to move and avoid come-backers and liners. To avoid the potential deaths of college and high school players, NFHS and NCAA adhere to the BBCOR standard, which determines a maximum legal trampoline effect from any portion of a bat's barrel, if any portion of the bat creates a combined bat-ball speed value of over .50, it is deemed illegal in BBCOR and is subsequently de-certified by NCAA (and usually NFHS as well but not always). In contrast, youth players do not create batted-ball speeds high enough to warrant the same standard of speed dissipation of BBCOR bats, so the USSSA certification is significantly less strict about bats with excessively high trampoline effects, which in turn birthed this generations gorilla-ball bats, the CF Zens and Cat9 Comps, which are basically just manual-action cannons given to 11 year olds.
I was playing first base when I was 13. We were undefeated in our tournament. The game was tied in the third inning, and we were hot. This nobody kid who was small, goes and jimmy jacks a ball 350 opposite field with an orange XL1. Still remember it to this day

Because the Comp isn't broken in. They were made similar to Easton's slow pitch bats. You have to swing it about 2,000 times before its broken in. The bat will actually have a Crack sound instead of the high pitch sound.

The orange stealth is the hottest bat when broken into the point where its outer shell cracks. Used it in college and we would wrap a towel around it and beat the hell out of it with on a light poll. The towel was to protect the warranty so they didn't think we were doing what we did. try that out then hit with the same bat. I'm telling you it will be worth it.
Just truly realized how old I am lmao everyone was swinging the green stealth in little league then the orange stealth showed up a bit before BBCOR. I had the yellow easton composite around 2014 and that thing was insane.
I’m surprised I’ve never seen a video about the original Models of the Demarini F2. The orange and blue F2 from 2004/2005ish was an absolute menace in the right hands.

I just picked all seven of the bats they had on hand.
Going to make a killing on eBay for these new bats.
Congrats guys hope your around for a long time
Best bat from my era and I’ll die on this hill as the best ever, Easton Redline C-core. Absolute flame thrower, hit bombs with that all day.
2013 Easton xl3 drop 5 was my all time favorite
The orange stealth is the hottest bat when broken into the point where its outer shell cracks. Used it in college and we would wrap a towel around it and beat the hell out of it with on a light poll. The towel was to protect the warranty so they didn't think we were doing what we did. try that out then hit with the same bat. I'm telling you it will be worth it.
love watching these dudes just send balls to the atmosphere every vid😂
need to try out the marrucci black had one a couple years ago only used it a few times
Old Demarini Vendetta C6 Composite was also a HOT bat back in the day when it was broke in!
can you guys do a review on The Dirty South BBCOR. its a popular bat online but never really see them on the fields in the midwest.
You guys inspire which bat I use and I thank you for that
The exit velo when it was breaking was insane
Just truly realized how old I am lmao everyone was swinging the green stealth in little league then the orange stealth showed up a bit before BBCOR. I had the yellow easton composite around 2014 and that thing was insane.
I’m surprised I’ve never seen a video about the original Models of the Demarini F2. The orange and blue F2 from 2004/2005ish was an absolute menace in the right hands.
Yo congrats on 100k been here since the beginning with you hitting in the cages
