    My only regret is that he wasn't able to perform this in front of a stadium full of people! This program is just so joyful and uplifting, it brings a goofy smile to my face every time I watch it

      Was fortunate to be able to be at the 2022 nationals in Nashville. Everyone who was there were going nuts with the step sequence at the end. Just an incredible performance overall. Still get so much joy watching it a year later.

      It's been awhile since I've seen this, and I forgot just how light and joyful it really was. It's unfortunate that he singled the 3F. But it didn't take away from the overall performance.

    Nathan definitely deserve the gold, he didnt deserve all the hate and rude comments in the social media and mainly focusing in his outfit. BUT WELP they probably didnt watch hisperformance cause you wouldnt even think of what his dress because it was enchanting, exciting and a sight to see!! DESERVE DESERVE

      I think what people were having the issue with was that his costume was a Vera Wang, and it looks like you could’ve gotten the same thing on eBay or Amazon for much cheaper. The costume was great for his routine, people were just shocked that it was a designer outfit

      He looked fabulous. In any case, the main thing was his outfit showed the clear lines of his graceful performance. Showing the movement, outline of the body as it moves from one movement to the next is very important in judging. Agree, his performance was brilliant. Seemed effortless, etherial. And the main thing was people were absolutely enchanted by him. He had charisma as well as the skills.

    What a mind-blowing, breathtaking, unforgettable performance. Nathen takes ice skating to a whole new level. Mashing up his ballet foundation and hip hop element I can't imagine other people can make it looks so easy like he does. Big congratulate to Nathen!

    I love watching when really talented people smile as they show off their craft. That's when you see the inner joy of what they do come out. Most gifted people dont show joy or happiness. They lack personality and are all technical and stoic. But Nathan just beams. So in the happiness of doing what he is doing.

    Absolutely in tears today, four years for since I cried in his 2018 skates for completely opposite reasons. He’s grown so fast and flown so far. So proud of you Nathan… Can’t wait to see what else you can show us next season

      @@iamtusharrawat15 he had a catastrophic SP, where he messed up all his jumping passes and was 17. after the short. Proceeded to win the FS but that was only enough to lift him up to 5th place overall.

      @@Unfiltered494 he should have been 4th but two Chinese judges scored the Chinese skater (who got 4th) higher. The irregularities of their scoring caused the ISU to review their scoring and banned them from judging for 2 years.

    ISaw this when he won the gold medal. Loved it. I was going thru a hard time as my husband was very ill and died a few weeks later. I would keep watching thisI The music was new to me and it give me such joy to see this. So when I am down I turn this on and makes me feel so much better,Thank you Nathan and Elton John.

    Other than his impressive technical skills, Nathan is also a true artist. Unlike some skaters who predictably skating to the same music genre, he would challenged himself by performing a variety of music/dance. His repertoires are so impressive. He is the equivalent of a superb actor who immerses himself into his roles without the burden of typecast. Freaking awesome

    The only skater with full standing ovation!!! He is really a skating prodigy and is a breath of fresh air with his versatility in his choreography. Earning so many champion titles and breaking so many world records at such a young age is really an amazing accomplishment. It will not be possible to find another skater who is so confident and solid like him. Not related but he kinda resembles this Kpop idol, U-know from TVXQ.

    Every time, i come back here to watch this amazing performance. In all those years, you skated to so many different music styles, but each time your musicality and intepretation were perfect. Jumps are technically amazing, but making them timed perfectly with the music is another of your many talents. Im so sad to learn your hip injury is still there, can't imagine how much you must have endured, without complaining once about it. Another thing that makes me admiring you, this way of Always, alway being the best sportsman. Truly one of a kind.

    I just love how relatable he is. Like with the dance at the end of his program like he had fun with it he had a big smile on his face and he let himself go and that’s why he won!!! The judges can smell fear guys!!! This is coming from a skater. He’s not stuck up like all the other skaters in his division. At the end of the program he was showing he was just a regular person too!!!

    I don't normally find Nathan as enjoyable to watch as some of the others. Amazing athlete (so many quads!), but his performance usually feels a little flat. Doesn't give me the wonder or joy some others have. This free program seemed to start off that way, but from about half way through (around 2:15) he really seemed to start actually enjoying and getting into what he was doing. By the time it got to the end I was laughing I was having so much fun watching him! It was amazing to watch and I'm super happy for him to be able to add Olympic Gold to his other achievements. Congratulations Nathan!

      Nathan’s been the best skater for years now, how anyone could think he’s not incredibly talented and exciting to watch is beyond me. The only reason would be because ‘their’ favourite skater is no longer the best hence the petty jealousy because ‘their’ favourite is he’s no longer no.1 anymore.

    My first time watching Nathan skate and he gave me chills. He really poured it all out on the rink. So glad he took gold! It was a flawless performance.

      Love Nathan, but it wasn't flawless, technically. Shaky landing on the salchow and triple toe in combo popped into a single. But 5 quads and incredible performance.

    I don't think people realize how crazy 2:10 is, if you look at his torso it's spinning continuously, but in order to keep himself skating forward, he has to quickly switch his foot between forward and backward facing

    that angular sudden transference of weight in the footwork sequence works really brilliantly and beautifully to convey the music, and he skates it with such beauty, brilliance, joy, and ballon. amazing skater and amazing champion!     I remember as a kid every time we went to the skating rink, he was there with his mom doing triple lutz’s like it was nothing. He would practice like crazy even when the rink opened to the public.

    I love Nathan's skating style. Am a bit put off by a lot kf the repetative and downright depressing song choices and stories too many skaters use that capture nothing of the times they are living in. I truly appreciate Nathan for going for a different style.

      I know. I love Nathan's versatility and song choices. Too many skaters now choose songs by alternative artists that have a plodding tempo, angst-filled lyrics, and a dark tone. I know what you're talking about. So tired of those repetitive song choices from too many skaters.

    SO well-deserved! I don't know why NBC took their Olympic videos of most of the skating down. Before the Olympics were even over, Nathan's SP video had over 4.5 million views, and his LP had over 6 million views!

    This program was perfect for the Olympics. Made him stand out from the other skaters. Also he is so skilled that he missed the triple portion of the quad triple but came back and did a triple and then a triple combination very well.
