I remember always liking Stone Sour and being completely ignorant of the fact that the lead singer of SS was also the lead singer of Slipknot. That was mindblowing to me in such an amazing way. Now I'm dying to see both of those bands live.

If I haven't ever loved him before, I love him even more now. Just...the way he thinks, he's so concise and just thorough with his answers and he's honest for the most part! And it's true, people here in U.S. compartmentalize music here and that's crazy talk. We don't have to listen and stick to just ONE genre. I know I don't! I listen to just about everything. In fact, I think I've tasted all different types of music and just listen to whatever I'm feeling, whatever moves me whether that's Opeth, Slipknot, to Philip Glass or even Chopin. My musical tastes are just as diverse as anything else I like.

Not gonna lie. I've watched the first 10 minutes every night for the last month. I keep falling asleep...I'm not bored, his voice is just easy to fall asleep to.

It speaks to the point he was making about how nowadays if you come out of the right cooch and simply have a reality show, you're famous. It doesn't take talent or creativity anymore.
The problem is hes in a Heavy Metal band and a rock band. What are the masses listening to right now? Rap and Hip Hop/ Forms of Hip Hop. People don't stray to Heavy Metal because people find the unknown weird. Which its just music. His main problem is he isn't main stream because of his music.

Super cool guy. I went to a festival and he hung out with fans at the gate and shot the shit, Rob Zombie was there too. He was an ass and pointedly ignored fans. Smh, Corey litterally had to be yelled at to come on it was time to go on stage.

25:23 He's talking about how the younger generation will only listen to one style/genre of music, except for heavy metal fans. I've certainly noticed this. My top 3 styles of music that I enjoy the most are:
1: Nu-metal (I prefer that sound of metal over everything; Slipknot, SOAD, Static, Korn, etc. One day I actually sat down and listed all my favorite metal artists, and looked at what styles of metal they're defined as on Wikipedia and wrote down them all and found the one common genre, and it happened to be nu-metal and I believe alternative metal. I looked at the actual definition of both and found nu-metal is definitely more my style).
2: Heavy dubstep (not that poppy/rappy, vocal, soft stuff. I'm talking like gritty sounding stuff, or like the artist SYN).
3: 90s alt rock (90s had the best decade of music in my opinion; Nirvana, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc).

Between 10-25 aged metalheads where i belong too :D I personally have noticed that the people who are born in '80s or '70s are not very open minded, cause they are used to listen to metallica, slayer, black sabbath etc and doesn't wanna hear any new type of metal or music, like hip hop and pop. But the current generation is totally different, even the bands who are mixing up hiphop and metal like limp bizkit and slipknot in some cases.
