I’m proud of you Leticia 😍 it took us a long time to get to this point and you stuck by my side. You never doubted me even when I neglected you for 4 months. I love you 😘
Thanks for the video. I appreciate you riding with some control on city streets, although you must still follow the rules of the road. It is a little dangerous avoiding stop signs when you have stopped traffic adjacent to you. A lot of your fan boys might rise up in arms with me saying that, but I feel that we must protect our riding community. There is legislation here in California that wants to require licensure for e-bikes as well as insurance. I got into e-bikes just to avoid those issues. If I really wanted something that goes 40 mph and requires license and insurance, I would just get a motorcycle and have endless miles. Your viewers are easily influenced so try and shape them into responsible riders so that the whole e-bike community can enjoy e-bikes. The last thing we need is for angry motorists and the public to complain about us. Look how restrictive they are in Europe now...15mph speed limits. Some counties here in California are doing the same and confiscating some illegal bikes being driven on public roads. (they are perfectly legal off-road and on private land)
Hi there , I have a beach cruiser that came with a 500 watts and top speed was 28 miles at fully charged on a 48v battery, I got a front wheel hub motor kit 2000 watts and replaced the batteries with a 52v each one, is a rocket when punching both throttles, now the 500 watts is doing 32 mph and the 2000 watts is doing 36 mph and both at the same time are doing 42 mph, I love it, power and more range, both batteries are the same, 52v 20 hours, according to the manufacturer of the 2000 watts motor the speed I would get with a 72v is close to 55.
This is the coolest XP on TH-cam in opinion. I like the simplicity of throttle only and able to reach 40 mph. What is the total miles you get on a fully charged battery?
That's amazing. Question I have is how fast does the battery last for you compared to the original old setup? Do you think you get more mileage on a single charge? And what was the complete cost to upgrade the rim and parts? You may have said in another video but can't remember? --Chris
Leticia is a beast! Can’t wait to see what that thing does at LAESK8! I bet you’ll be hanging with the front line. Now we just need to see a range test. 😉
Man I can't wait until I can modify mine like yours. I'm thinking about mounting a battery on the rear rack and on the underside to get as much range as possible.
With pedal assist, I've seen that it allows you to go a little bit faster than with throttle only probably that little extra leg power, although Im not sure you would even need it with this bike
Nice videos from this ebike. I’m making a similar project, 3kw 20”fat bike, 50A peak controller. I’m assembling it. I’ll make some videos and I’ll uploaded them to TH-cam. With a 60V battery it made 60km/h (37 mph) just testing it at home, not riding it. I’ll assume that with a 72v battery should hit 72km/h (45mph), I don’t to run at that speed, just don’t want to ride always on max speed, 70-80% more than enough. 72v battery will be a 20A, with samsung 40T, those batteries hit like a train.
That's fast! I imagine the longevity of the motor will be negatively affected by the 72v, but maybe it will still last 10k miles or more...? It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. Nice content!
I did 40mph down a bridge on my Aventon. It's kinda scary, you start to wonder about the integrity of your brakes. The front hub mod is getting popular around here with people who have the Eahora and the Engwe. Reason is that those bikes have the rear hub that can charge the main battery so they can use the front motor to pull the bike while setting the regenerative braking on the rear motor and keeping the main battery charged.
Brilliant content but I will say pedal assist is the difference of my ebike getting 18 miles without or 38 miles with helps most in the 0-15mph acceleration meaning you using peak amps for alot less times saving battery and probably increasing battery life
Thanks man. The kit took over 4 months to arrive and some things came not how I ordered it. I wouldn’t recommend this company to be honest. Don’t get me wrong the kit works great but the company is trash.
Not bad.. I was thinking that the base model Rip Racer by Juiced would be fun to get a kit for.. Trying a dual 52V battery using the rear rack and a 3,000 watt kit with 40 amp controller. Not sure if 52V dual or 45.6 ah worth of battery can feed a 40 amp controller to give a 3,000 watt kit enough for 40 mph.. My Kepler has no problem going 35 mph at 52V and it's only 1,000 watt with 33 aMP controller.
I am trying to bring a mid drive folding ebike to compete with your 72v 3000w bike...maybe this summer you will have something to race your bike against.
