My KJW KC-02 'Kneecapper' build

  • Design based off the IDF's integrally suppressed Ruger 10/22, known as the Kneecapper for its controversial use for riot control...
    I mentioned a 380mm barrel in the video, it's actually 310mm.

The IDF's 10/22 is based on the American "pocket rifle" concept that was "invented" by Sountech several decades ago. However, I think the IDF ordered their rifles direct from Ruger. The israelis know how to deal with rioters, I say good on them.
I really like the large silencer you put on that. Really gives off a kind of Delisle carbine look. I also made by KJ-02 into a pocket rifle design, but I used a 6" long 1" diameter silencer with a homemade tracer unit, and modified the trigger group to select fire basing on a real 10/22 full auto conversion kit instructions (you can find PDF's online, note there are several methods depending on level of metalworking skills). I used a butler creek fixed folding stock. I also don't use the co2 mags but green gas and one is HPA tapped with a "kill box" to use as a kind of support/speedsoft role.
After seeing your video I definitely am going to convert one of my old 10/22 wood stocks for this. Your gun looks really nice like that.

Love this build! I'll soon have all the parts I need for my own kneecapper build, similar to this one. Main difference will be that I use a wider and slightly shorter suppressor. Will probably get one of the new rogueworx genesis kits for the vsr convertion eventually

Thanks! I've got one of the Genesis kits on the way, I hope it's as good as it's meant to be.

@@Snakebitey Yeah I hope it is! By the way, could you tell me a little bit on how you cut your outer barrel down? Did you cut the threaded end or the rear end? Cheers

@@Antheras I cut the threaded end down then used a machined down M700 suppressor adaptor - imgur.com/a/TNfwS

@@Snakebitey So the Genesis, do you love it or not? :D
I will buy a KC02 and do i have to buy this kit? :P
Ps : absolutely love the sound (very light)!

@@yoannalonso8425 Heya, I've not been able to play in a while so only used it on the target range - I'm impressed so far! If I was planning a build I would definitely budget a Genesis kit in. The better air seal is worth it too.

Hey, great build! Regarding 2:35 the bolt not going completely to the end, wouldn't there be some leaking if the nozzle doesn't get fully into de ML bucking?

Yes, and it was a problem. I've since got the Rogueworx Genesis kit in there and it's perfect :)

@@slavsterbater No problem! They're fantastic stock so have some fun with it before modding. The Genesis kit is expensive but really good and would probably be the first upgrade I'd go with

Hey pal, what's the distanse ure usually shootin with this 310 mam barrel? Hows with accuracy?

    • @Snakebitey
      @Snakebitey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Barrel length doesn't really affect much, just gas efficiency. It's shooting OK but has a lot more to give with better tuning. It's got a Genesis hop chamber now but not been able to test. Most of the shots are 40-60 metres (see other videos on my channel), but it'll float a BB out to 100+ m. Hopefully after some better tuning it'd be able to hit torso-sized targets at 80+ m pretty reliably, especially with HPA conversion.

silencers can be as big or small as you want. IRL small silencers are for cutting down the concussive blast for comfort, large silencers are for preventing everyone and their mother from knowing you are fighting bad guys a street over. With the 22lr most silencers are like 1" in diameter, but they can become quieter with a larger volume. Most modern 22 rifles used for LE or military use do not use these large volumes since often the silenced 22 is a Tertiary or secondary weapon that is slung and retained on a bungee or weapon clip, or holstered and only used in niche situations.
