    Chris is a WINNER! Hey Chris...keep your natural voice going...it's much better than the "accents"! All of it's good but your natural presentation is terrific, easy to listen to, and entertaining!

    I can do all that stuff. And I have done it a few times. But there is know doubt that Chris is much faster at it than I was. Lol. And he does really nice quality work. And keeps a good sense of humor while doing it. Lol. Great job bro.

    Did anyone notice what kind of work Chris does? Taking time to “fill weld” imperfections on the frame is something you won’t get anywhere else. Can’t wait to see the next video!

      He's very detailed and he takes his time, but a lot of shops are until there is 25 jeeps outside and they get months behind. If he can keep it up if/when they get that big, that will tell how good he is.

    The brake rotor improvised "slide hammer" technique can do a "number" on the axle stud threads if done carelessly! That is why they make axle pullers that attach to a slide hammer device!

    • @LiteBrite
      @LiteBrite  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a how to when on the trail and breaking an axle shaft. This wasn’t a how to for the shop. I guess I should have specified.

    Shrockworks bolt-on sliders are bulletproof and can fully support the weight of a Jeep! Had them on my last jeep.. probably going to be on my next Jeep that I buy next year! They were slower to deliver but worth it.

    Time goes down in any business right now, we sold mostly night vision last year, from stock its now 6-8 month backorder on a lot of things. as an family we are fixing the house and the wood has become more worth than gold. In cars, ive built one overlander and now started a overland/offroad wish build. parts are going up in prices and delivery times are not even fun to talk about. Keep in there :) love your vids so hopefully the rest of all subs do it to even if time will change everything right now

All three of them have shown a similar passion to getting my 2015 JKU "Goldie" in the best shape of it's life in preparation for the Rubicon Trail. Did my first rock crawl & badge with them, see no reason to go elsewhere to get work done on her.

    I’m assuming Chris will be pulling more axles so I would suggest building a taller axle stand/fixture. I fabricated an adapter that bolts to my transmission jack that works great for raising and lowering axles into position rather than raising or lowering the vehicle. They work great and much more efficient being able to stand and work. I built another adapter that fits into my engine stand for either working on or moving axles around once out of the vehicle.
    Lastly, I fabricated some mounting fixtures that bolt to my fabrication table which allow me to hold axles rigid while working on them doing either gears or setting up mounting points. Easy to take angle measurements and transfer to the axle while it is held in place on the fabrication table.
    Just a couple of suggestions to help workflow that I have found throughout the years.
    Mike

    Insulated cabinet around the compressor to not kill your eardrums. Or put it outside and and put a shed around it??

      HAVE YOU SEEN THE PRICE OF WOOD? Lol. Might be cheaper to find an old refrigerator to put it in🤔

    Nice work. From my experience filling in the factory gouges in the frame and sanding them smooth looks better but thins the frame out even more by the time you grind over them again. Tricky to weld if you ever have to place a 1/4” thick bracket in that same spot without blowing through the frame

    Is Lite Brite Nation turning into a reality TH-cam series... drama, chaos and carnage with some zoom-zoom thrown in? Stay tuned dudes and dudetts for more exciting new content. I'll not miss an episode even for a ice cold case of frothy goodness or Chris working on my Taco for free. ROCK ON!

    Oh, man. Wait times.... haha I've been waiting 4 months for my GM RCV axle shafts for my SAS on my H3. I keep reminding myself to be patient - but it's been on the lift for 4 months. Worth it haha I hope to see you guys on the trails! :)
