The girls bring the Blue Top Legend out of Boca Inlet on a very rough day with a small craft advisory in effect. Boca Inlet and Haulover Inlet were both firing and taking no prisoners. After this pass, the girls have sold the BTL and have purchased a 16ft Boston Whaler Dauntless! Stay tuned for more news on the new owner of the BTL! Enjoy the video!

At 1:44, I reached the same conclusion. "The girls pulled through like they always do." In other words, reinforcing bad habits, and they'll push new limits, because they got away with it the last time. A grizzled old mariner needs to have a sit down with them and set them straight. These girls are trifling with the ocean; they're going to find themselves on a one-way trip to Davy Jones' Locker at the rate they're going. They may have good maneuvering skills, etc. but they don't have good judgement or decision-making skills.

This is the ONLY video of these I’ve seen with boaters taking on rough water while wearing life jackets. They came prepared. Smart girls. 👍🏻

We all know they’ve got the balls but we should also notice they are very skilled in their handling of those waters. They take waves how they should (albeit to fast), they don’t turn in a break, they pay attention and are very situationally aware. I for one look forward to see what they do with the Dauntless 👍🏽
If anything, I would say there girls are very, very experienced piloting that little boat.👍💯💯🙏🙏🙏

hopefully they learn faster than they can get hurt i had dirt bikes and street bikes ,boats , skied water and snow and found in all of them and others that when u push things to their limits that limit smacks back pretty hard sometimes

BTL is rock-solid-- especially the top itself. No rips, tears, bends... amazing.
I'm watching that "life flashing before your eyes" moment again. That lil boat, their well placed balance, and everything else to help that wild and fast recovery. I bet the ride back into the current was a slow and feeling the release of the panic. Definitely glad the life jackets were on. Those two young women are gonna battle again. Lol. I have one question....what is your rescue plan? Cuz, you didnt need it on that day,, but you will with that kind of crazy courage on another day,, for certain.
Rescue plan is call 911 and let the professionals with the pro gear handle it. The first thing they teach in first aid is asses the risk to yourself, so you don't add to the number of people needing rescue.
FYI, those are buoyancy aids, not life jackets. They’ll help you to float but if you’re unconscious you’ll be floating facedown. (They’re obviously far better than the non-existent buoyancy aids or life jackets everyone else has)
The girls are practiced and trained horse jumpers, they have an inkling of what they are doing.
BUT we all know ... the story is just around the corner 😁
@@cjeam9199 But those life jackets that turn you over if you are unconscious are usually very clumsy and bulky, had them and found them horrible to wear, ok if you are sitting still, but doing any activities, no thanks.
@@gerrywhelan5761 you can get inflatable ones, including ones that automatically inflate if you fall in, which is great if you get knocked out as you fall in. Those are the lowest profile of all option. You're right though the huge foam ones are bulky and awkward.
Pretty sure they learned a new level of respect for the ocean that day. A little humble pie is a good thing.

No joke. I've often wondered how many stress cracks are running across the bottom at midship where its been cased so many times on the next wave.

Exactly. I was trying to explain this in another video, along with their lack of throttle control when jumping and almost busting their teeth out on the console. Anyone can get in a boat and just send it every time, it's not hard. I think they get way too much credit than they're worth.

We run tour boats in Prince William sound Alaska, a few smaller ones, 24 ft Boston whalers for closer in tours and fishing and 3 bigger boats for longer trips out to see the glaciers. If one of these women applied with us and I had seen these videos I would never hire them. Their recklessness is astonishing, neither of them would ever get a license. What we see here is luck, it's not skill, at least not what I see in terms of being professional. It's fun to watch but can so easily turn deadly.

I'm 60. Luckily alive on all the dumb shit I did on motorcycle's. They are legendary. Was in 16 ft. Mako,jumping waves,lake Michigan. Hit so hard? Friend broke transom. 115 Mercury. He was a nut. RIP Craig. 🙏
My folks lived on the Intercoastal in Cape Coral for many yrs. Their next door neighbor was a guy about same age as I. My buddy & I were going down for Spring Break from College many yrs ago & my dad had been telling me about this guys toys, drag car, race ready offshore etc. Mind you, although growing up on boats in Michigan my whole life, my only experience on a go fast boat was my folks 37' Formula with inboard 454's built, Dad named it "The Wicked One". Anyway, that sob was fast, but nothing compared to the neighbors boat. Dude was awesome, he & his buddy took us out & cruised @ 110 across the Gulf. He knew everyone everywhere we stopped, it was a blast! Until he did as you stated, we were jumping the wakes of the freighters entering the Intercoastal & cracked his boat on both sides right at the transom. He laughed it off & said "It's only money". lol

You can gain some great experience as a youngster with a small boat and big waves. A mate and I used to take on a smaller mouth with our savage snipe and his kestrel, both with 15hp jonos. Big air time until I lost the motor off the transom.

Mahi & Wahoo 1 mile out + Blue Marlin 5 miles out = Paradise!
Only a few times did I ever pass on the inlet due to weather and use the next inlet south (Lighthouse Point).
That thing kited when it broke over. So lucky it didn’t end up any worse.

If that engine quits or misses a beat it doesn't matter how awesome of a boat captain you are. In those swells that close to the rocks you're done.
This actually did happen to them in another video, luckily for them that day they had another boat with them that helped until a tow boat got to them.
I have a '93 Dauntless 15. It's just AMAZING doing these types wake jumping things. I don't even think about pulling the stunts these girls did in their 13 ft but, I felt like I had it all the way out of the water and turning 20 degrees while in the air...awesome boats.

I had a 21’ bay boat with a 150 I/o when I was 14. Running that baby in the bayou ripped the top clean off when a branch caught it. 30 years later my parents are still asking why we don’t run with Biminis. Glad there were no cameras around

What they have learned here will save there lives out in the big blue one day :) (P.S. Usually where there isn't much help close by)

Live in Alaska with very large waves quite a bit, absolute respect for there navigation skills in waves that close together.
That was quite the recovery after dumping the stern from that height. I filled the back of mine 3 times and lost engine on one of them. Scary stuff, the Dauntless will do the girls better.

I think they accomplished the ultimate goal not many have 12 o'clocked a boat and not sunk specially on camera. Something tells me they will be satisfied and take a small break but unfortunately others will feel like they have to be like those girls and possibly get hurt but most likely sink boat
