No matter what is true or false in the news and whatever the strategy or plan. This channel, company, and man has given me so much over the past few years. Running a business is hard, and having someone to look up to and inspire me has been so vaulable. I look forward to every week. Daniel and Ashville deserve all the luck in the world. I have no doubt it will work out but either way his legacy is already set in stone. The amount of people he has inspired is endless
A thought halfway through - Its insane that Daniel and Ashville in general do these vids - the amount of extra pain this must cause. Thinking about the concrete problems and arguments with council etc over doing it, those most likely would have never happened if it wasn't for these videos, if Ashville had kept their heads low. I am glad that they don't, but hate to see the extra problems just for our sake. Thanks guys - these videos mean a lot to a lot of people, good time and bad its awesome to see them all. On the plus side Ashville are probably the most compliant and scrutinized construction/materials/hire company in the UK!

Just an idea, on the site I'm currently working at, I have a squeegee attachment on my 13t, when using it to scrape the roads ect for site maintenance minimal to no damage to the floors ect and the rubber lasts soo long if used on tar or concrete.
@@billywilliams8833 doubt you tube raise enough money to pay for all the filming and editing. Probably covers costs and its a bit of free advertising for a hard working business.
Washing the lorries has made huge improvement in making the brand look professional, clean lorries makes the drivers feel good driving a brand new looking truck.
@@Chris-ue2cr Hard to do when headquarters is a mud pit most days. And you have to also weigh the time is money part. Not making money getting washed, but will look good for maybe a day. And then the part you don't see, the labor in cleaning up the dirt and mud that is rinsed off every day. Cleaning out the mud from the wheel wash. Everything in construction and haulage has a backside, you don't see it all. Like keeping tracks clean on the equipment, takes time to do it, really should be done frequently, but again time. Clean tracks also last longer, and easier to maintain. As with any piece of equipment it needs some love to keep it making money, skip the cleaning and greasing and you will pay down the road in more repairs. But guys like welder fabber are in business just because of the need.
Hi Daniel I’ve just seen in my Google news feed that you are going into administration. This can’t be true surely. How does this bull sh*t news even get out there . Anyway by far my favourite you tube channel and a Sunday morning ritual watching you and your incredible team. I hope the future is bright for you as I’ve never seen someone so devoted to a company than you are. You cant possibly fail. Wishing you the best new year!!!! Shout out to the video team as-well first class. 👌🏻
Ashville FOREVER! Since I've started watching Ashville weekly my own business and creativity has grown tremendously. Revenue not as much but that comes with time . Keep fighting the good fight dont let the dream die .
It's good to see dudek worried about the concreting, it shows he has passion for what he's doing, not good to see the lorry's go but, the business has to come 1st, anther great video Daniel, ❤
It's the same everywhere Daniel, I work in the Underlay division of the carpet world and we've all been waiting for the upturn that hasn't happened. Scaling back is the best decision for you and your business. It's unfortunate for the staff that are to be layed off but they must understand that you are a new business and need to keep pushing forward. There is always work in transport for them. Keep up the good work and videos I look forward every Sunday for Ashville weekly NICE!!! lol
Your jet wash was a Honda it can’t die due to no engine oil, it has oil level sensor and won’t run or start if it has low oil, try top up the oil or check wires that run from oil sensor very common they get corrosion 👍🏻
Difficult decisions are easy to criticise when you’re the one not making them. You have to do what’s right for the business and as the saying goes “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got”
Any chance you can lease the lorries to any business busy in need of these tippers in the mean time. You lease it out with the drivers. That way you don't have to pay premium price to stock up again when the markets picks up again. Just saying it worth considering that before letting go of those well looked after lorries. Run it same way like the plant hire.
Shout out to the videoteam (as always) but mostly on those great drawings and things highlighting. It makes the video's so much better. 👌👍 I am afraid that the letting go of the tippers also means letting go of drivers. Being sacked from 3 different companies without my fault around the christmas time, sucks. It takes away all your mood for those days, not only on the year it happend but at the next year too. Even this december 2024 time, was not as "good" as it used to be altough the last 'you are out' happend at 2014. I know, business working with the financial year from 1 jan to 31 dec. But letting people go in december, I say it again, sucks. On the happier note: there is still life in the "Ashville Railway Company" and I saw some stoppers only moving to another spot and not scrapped. There is hope for 2025. Have a great year, Ashville! (and to all readers of this comment too, of course!)
My take is (having run expensive trucks) that if you are still standing and operating at the end of a difficult 2024 then that is a win. If you can pay your way that is a win. Its not how many trucks you run but what the bottom line is each month. Taking hard decisions to downsize is part of the joy of owning a business (he says grimacing) but you can always buy more trucks if there is an upturn but if there isn't an upturn keeping it lean is the right decision. 'What ifs' do not pay the wages. Cash does. Happy New Year to all at Ashville.
Thats all spot on , i know i think survival is king in this game ( most games at the moment) but i feel you can only survive for so long before many firms will say "Sod it had enough" tough out there and with this government now much much tougher!
Daniel and team Ashville, I look forward to seeing each week weekly since the LH60 delivery. Your keep up the fight, the Ashville team is a top notch team and I am always impressed with the video and content!
Watching this at the end when you was saying getting rid of trucks, I too have now taken the decision to sell our tipper which is parked up more than used and costing the most on finance every month instead of waithing for the right work the right rate the right customer.
In lieu of getting rid of the skip wagon completely have you considered getting your mate Welderfabber to make you up a skip flat bed (like he did for Ryan Stott) to assist with some of the equipment hire deliveries (taking some single point reliance off of the hook lift wagon) and with the deliveries of bulk bags; keeps the opportunity of skips (in whatever capacity that is) and gives the equipment an alternative use.
Hahaha 8:20, if you didnt think this was Stormzy's place yet - this is confirmation! Awesome to see the build coming along nicely. Great ep so far guys!
Daniel I think you are making the correct decision, letting them go will improve your cashflow position the remaining tippers can hopefully operate to capacity, sometimes in business you to make these hard decisions but by doing it your are strengthening the remaining parts of the business. Keep up the good work the decisions taken during these challenging times will pay dividends when the upturn happens.
I saw the “Notice of Intention to Appoint Administrator” online. It’s not the same thing as going into administration, it is a notice which stops companies from taking action. As far as I can see this gets Ashville out of the problem with the old landlord. If you guys understood business you would know this is a strategy. 😂
The ability to adapt and change for the better at any given time is the difference between keeping the business afloat and the business sinking. Ashville will I’m sure continue to new heights in the future, Daniel has the correct mindset for this 👍
A local company to me downsized there fleet about 10 years ago and now they are one of the biggest operators in my area. Goes to show that sometimes you need to take a step back to progress forward. No shame in downsizing if the market is hitting a hard period.
thing about trucks is you can always buy more equipment later on if demand goes up, at least in this case freeing up that overhead lets you maintain things how they are. and allows more freedom to expand later say if more concrete trucks are needed or you do end up running containers out of the yard, hopefully tho soon your be able to export by rail allowing a extra revune stream
Another fantastic weekly video. Amazing work Daniel. Hopefully 2025 will pick up. Full credit to the editing team. Week by week it just keeps getting better and love the music being used. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Final comment after the vid - Its a tough end to 2024, but it was a hard year. All that you accomplished was awesome, its time to recover, reset and then find a new way forward. You made the right decision - I think you will still eventually think back on them like the arctics, but if you consider your current position, that was also the right decision at that time. 2025 is gonna be a strong year, good job and thanks for the awesome 2024. You guys give me inspiration every week to stick at my startup, to push through when the alternative is a much easier simpler life, to keep fighting.

I ended up doing 32years in the army, I retired in 2021 at 48 that's when the last of the mortgages were paid off I sold them all to one buyer but the headaches I had just trying to keep them full and livable was terrible I had to rely on someone else to look after them because I was all over the world so I no how Daniel feels with all the worry and stress my advice would be as soon as your business is worth enough for you to retire do it straight away and then do anything you like no stress and you'll live longer...PS I didn't have a rich daddy that helped me I'm from a council estate in Barnsley I had £15 in my pocket when I joined the boys army at 16
I'd like to see Daniel spend a hour Introducing his employees. Dispatcher, office manager, drivers, equipment operators, laborers. Compliments because your team seems to get along great together despite the many moving parts of the business.🎉
Happy new year to everyone at Ashville. Just woken up in not so sunny St Lucia. Might take a hike up to Ashville Heights later and be a site manager that nobody asked for 😂😂😂 Keep up the good work and all the best for 2025
Its business never be afraid to admit there cuts to be made, we have all been there and those who spout about or talk probally have never tried, fireside business people get there wages every week and think I could do that better, well go try. Let me know how it went . Anyway have a great new year and thanks for the content, couldnt have a sunday without Daniel , respect.
If it don't make money, it don't make sense - making difficult choices for the greater good 👍 every company flexes their fleet size to match the work, its just more obvious when a smaller firm does it.

Loads going on, good to see the wheel wash station finally taking shape, let's hope the council and network rail come to an agreement on the yard being fully converted, although it's Yiu paying and not them and makes you £0 income!

Daniels decision making has gotten the company thus far. Defo should have got rid of the trucks sooner but there’s no time like the present. Best is yet to come
Can you have Welder Faber build a hook lift dump box? You can probably find a small used dump box and then convert it. That way you still have a bit of extra capacity even with less trucks.
I remember watching when Ashville got the golf to push with a lorry and then started regular posting before deciding on ashville weekly, crazy how many episodes its at now
Just love these videos and even more...love seeing so much build work being done in the yard. You may need to sell the lorries now, but i'm sure things will pick up and here's to a successful 2025, geeza!
Cladding the stairs Sounds very sharp edged on front of treads how about using a 2cm full bodied porcelain with a bull nosed front with over hang no hardibacker required
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO U ALL keep it up Terry. the great thing is day to day cost planning ect. things change. NO HOW BIG THE BUSINESS change update is always needed. down size re grow. BIG COMPANYS fail cause they do not change no matter the brand. ALL THE BEST FOR 2025. a vision and how to get there change just like your temp yard. bur do wish on a bad week u do concert to weigh bridge as well. all the best

Looking forward to another year of great vids and more banter from Terry and Micheal, would be great to see a stand alone vid kf you three going fishing for a weekend 🤣🤣🤣
Have you ever thought of putting down milled or profiled recycled asphalt on the yard floor in areas that you can. Dustless in summer/waterproof in winter as long as your base is level and compacted equally.
I know it’s very costly but you gotta admit it’s also very satisfying to see the concreting starting in the yard 😊 also Pam sounds like she’s originally from the midlands area, that’s not a bad thing as I’m a midlander too 😂
Sounds like that the way things were going those lorries would have been very expensive, yard art. I think since COVID everything has been difficult, unfortunately a lot of businesses went under COVID, plus the world's supply chains were affected especially if anything had to come from overseas. Also in the UK we had the B word, overnight anything imported.from the EU went up in price as we had to start paying Customs duties and the VAT on those duties. Companies tried to soak up some of these costs, but the inevitability is that eventually we as the customers are going to have to pay in some way or another. No doubt Asheville is now on a more secure footing and can look forward to 2025.👍
Wish all bosses were like this, tells worker we need to clean tracks off, worker has his say and the boss understands, mine just shouts n forces you to carry on, not a great way to keep staff, keep up the good work and videos, just wish there were more 😄😄
Clean Tabel ... a mindset of a clean place to work ... more focus and a better organisation .... nice to have no cats or dog in the yard for a nice concrete work art

Can you have Welder Faber build a hook lift dump box? You can probably find a small used dump box and then convert it. That way you still have a bit of extra capacity even with less trucks.
I remember watching when Ashville got the golf to push with a lorry and then started regular posting before deciding on ashville weekly, crazy how many episodes its at now
Happy New Year and all the best for 2025 Daniel
Just love these videos and even more...love seeing so much build work being done in the yard. You may need to sell the lorries now, but i'm sure things will pick up and here's to a successful 2025, geeza!
Cladding the stairs Sounds very sharp edged on front of treads how about using a 2cm full bodied porcelain with a bull nosed front with over hang no hardibacker required
great vids.
if possible please make a stand alone video of process of throwing concrete slab, including how to decide height and slope.
thanks!!!
Happy New Year 🎉

Is it true as reported today in construction enquirer that Ashville has officially been wound down and put into Administration 😮 Administration
Pam : I'll just bleep out the swearing
Daniel : No, Just don't do it !
You know when you've been told 🤣🤣🤣
Hope you all had a great Christmas and wishing you all a healthy happy new year.
Looking forward to another year of great vids and more banter from Terry and Micheal, would be great to see a stand alone vid kf you three going fishing for a weekend 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes you have to let go to grow further down the line . Best wishes to you all ❤
Have you ever thought of putting down milled or profiled recycled asphalt on the yard floor in areas that you can. Dustless in summer/waterproof in winter as long as your base is level and compacted equally.
Wishing one day everything will be okay and you will be back more stronger 💪
Ashville Aggregates and Concrete Limited has just gone into Administration and appointed Trowers & Hamlins
Bad luck Danny boy !
You a hater go fly a kite
Was it you and your husband outside the yard in your car ????????????
Happy new year Ashville family
👊 happy new year to you too
I know it’s very costly but you gotta admit it’s also very satisfying to see the concreting starting in the yard 😊 also Pam sounds like she’s originally from the midlands area, that’s not a bad thing as I’m a midlander too 😂
Sounds like that the way things were going those lorries would have been very expensive, yard art. No doubt Asheville is now on a more secure footing and can look forward to 2025.👍
Nice job Daniel 💪
prob would have kept concrete lorry as you've had a good few break down in the past
Wish all bosses were like this, tells worker we need to clean tracks off, worker has his say and the boss understands, mine just shouts n forces you to carry on, not a great way to keep staff, keep up the good work and videos, just wish there were more 😄😄
Are you going into administration after getting new yard
Clean Tabel ... a mindset of a clean place to work ... more focus and a better organisation .... nice to have no cats or dog in the yard for a nice concrete work art
