- MISUA WITH MEATBALLS is a Filipino soup dish and it is considered as a comfort food. It is soup that consists of misua noodles, meatballs, egg and other ingredients. They called this dish as almondigas, as it has meatballs and misua. Best served during rainy, winter season, or after a long tiring day. Serve it while it’s steaming hot.
Ingredients
For meatballs:
400g of ground pork
1 head minced garlic
1 medium minced onion
1 small minced carrot
2 stalks of minced celery
1/2 tsp of iodized salt
1/2 tsp of ground pepper
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
5 tbsp of cornstarch
1 pc of egg
For misua soup:
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 medium of minced red onion
6-9 cups of chicken stock or just water with 1 pc of chicken cube
1 & 1/2 tbsp of fish sauce
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
1 pc of egg with 1 tbsp of water
Fried meatballs
70g of misua noodles
2 stalks of spring onion

This is amazingly underrated! Glad I took a chance & tried this out instead of the other popular similar recipes. The oyster sauce just adds that exquisite *chef’s kiss* flavor🥰

What I would do is pan-fry the meatballs and then deglaze the bottom of the pot. That way, I don't need to use stock. I like the egg drop idea, I'll try that out next time!
