I'd put it slightly different. She's trying to bait a simplistic knee-jerk response to her narrowly framed question, with a pre-planned devastating follow-up attached to it. Unfortunately, that's how these anchors often seek to "break news." It's annoying, and experienced interviewers will resist that bait. Margaret Brennan is even worse on this count. It may be slightly sexist, but I can only tolerate "Face the Nation" when somebody else hosts it.

This is the second interview I listened to with this interviewer and Newsome. Gavin was masterful and he knows why he supports Joe Biden for president and not Trump Der furer. Also - I have news for Republican Politicians regarding abortion rights and healthcare. You will not tell me what myself or especially my wife can or cannot do with our bodies or whether to have or not to have a baby. No laws regarding this issue will stop me. Get that straight right now !!!

This is an excellent governor. He should be a star in the democratic party. One of the best candidate to be out on the campaign trail.
