    The funniest thing is, I don't cook. I just watch random stuff on TH-cam. This legend appeared in my recommended a year ago and permanently stayed in my life. I still don't cook, but you've given me a lot of starvation.. I should probably go eat something. (In all seriousness you're a legend mate)

    This is a perfect meal prep video, right down to the nutritional panel. It works!
    It's all about calories in and out for me, I appreciate you not using specialised "diet stuff", not that there is anything wrong with that, but because often they are EXPENSIVE.
    Good to see everyday ingredients being reeled into healthy and approachable.

    • @ChefJackOvens
      @ChefJackOvens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you! You’re not wrong about those ingredients being pricey! You slap “healthy” on it and the price mark up is ridiculous. Anything can be healthy if you do it right 😊

    Love the video. Looking forward to trying this this week to kick start some healthy eating and meal prepping. As a general rule, is reheating cooked rice like this ok? I seem to get a lot of mixed information on this online.

    • @ChefJackOvens
      @ChefJackOvens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, its a health and safety rule for professional kitchens to serve to a customer but it really doesnt matter reheating at home. Ive never met a person that doesnt reheat rice and has ever had a problem doing so. Just as long as its hot, there's no issues at all.

    This is the second meal prep I have tried. I've had much faith in you since the first one as I make them on Sunday night without a plan B. I've not been let down, very simple to make yet soooo gooood! This one isn't as tasty as the honey chicken but still delicious, I think I'll put chilli flakes into the sauce next time. Keep them coming please! oh, and also, thanks for posting the ingredients in the description.

    Can I ask a question please. What are you using to calculate the macros for these recipes. I did a program in the past called renaissance periodization.
    I'd like to get back into it using my own recipes, but just need something to calculate macros with.
    Thanks.

      I use a program that runs in my website builder which I don’t think you can get unless you have all the subscriptions needed when running a website. There’s lots of free ones out there which you should be able to find on google.
