Nathaniel Whitehead hey man I just saw your comment and hopefully this helps! I have had the same question and feel like no one ever answers it... pick a couple of patterns that you like to fish and get those materials. I suggest getting cheap hooks, Danville 210 thread, marabou in different colors, chenille different colors, .020 wire, craft fur, frankenfly dubbing, some flash, and possibly some natural/flashy dubbing in the dispenser. Keep trying and don’t get discouraged
quick question for ya, i’m looking to get into fly fishing for bass and was wondering what weight rod you’d recommend for throwing flies like that and others. some people say 6 weight is good others say 8. i’m leaning towards the 8wt but i’d love your intel!
DARN how I related to the $€*%=$&* feather that broke x2 !!! And I normally do the same thing.....find something that bloody works! And on the stinky material I will agree....... until I tried to work my own for tails. No amount of savings is worth that stink!!!! Great job m8!
That lil crawdad pattern is tits, nice job! I tie a similar version to that meat whistle of yours that kicks ass on browns especially from the drift boat. I can't stand that chenille worm bullshit but to each his own, haha. I'd only add a gurgler for some topwater action when fishin' for largemouth and smallies.
thanks man!! appreciate it! and agreed on the gurgler pattern haha. We just had a couple bugs that we always have and use! bass video 2.0 will be in full effect soon!!
Down n’ dirty quick ties, bass flyz, sense of humor & a golf course = winning!
Awesome vid, it would be super helpful if you could tell us new guys what materials you are using so it would be easier for us to look stuff up.
You are an awesome fly tyer. Thank you for the lessons.
Thank you for sharing some knowledge brother
another great video definately going to tie some of these up, You guys rock man.
I like your technique for seating the dumbell with a build up of thread. Great tip!👍👍
Good stuff, I like the quick ties!

Just subscribed to y'all and plan on tying a book of these for the lake. Anyway you can provide a materials list?
Good tips. Thanks for sharing!
Next time don't forget the beads and legs! haha
Great vid man. You earned that subscribe!
Thanks brother!! i appreciate the support!
What’s the music name on 2:33?
Great video! I also like to tie on the cheap and there aren't a lot of fly shops in my area anyways. Eagle Claw!
yeah for sure! and i have used that eagle claw almost exclusively on the rivers close to home haha
you need a top water frog popper pattern ....for explosive interactions .....
Agreed!! the next video will have one!

Do you have a fly name for it?
no haha none of my patterns have names haha
what hooks do you tie the clouser on dude?
Mitchell Greener I tie a ton of my smaller streamers on an eagle claw #4 steelhead streamer hook. Not sure of the specific name of it though!
thanks dude. I like the shape of that hook
If you want to get all technical it's an L1197BU--a very stout hook capable of landing the big ones, haha.
Nice flies! I like that crawfish pattern. What is the recipe for it?
Mark Memmott pretty simple! A gama 60 degree jig, 5.5mm tungsten bead, cray orange pine squirrel, gold barred rubber leg, brown Antron dub, and orange grizzly soft hackle!
Thanks for the recipie. What size jig hook?
Mark Memmott that's a size 1/0 in the video but you can scale it all down for smaller bugs!
I think it's funny this video is call bass flies every angler needs but starts by showing trout anglers lol
Wayne Miller hahaha definitely at the start of my TH-cam video career😂

Are you aware that Krazy Glue is water soluble?
Hahaha to be honest, i had no clue! thanks for the intel
What krazy glue is water soluble? It's a cyanoacrylate and moisture is what causes it to cure.
Don’t throw the trout that hard into the water
Lol trout jump out of the water all day long! They literally jump up waterfalls! Wer your hands, yeah, but trout arent that fragile
The clouser minno doesn’t catch anything
The lighting is horrible
Lol agreed. This was one of the first videos I had ever shot
Why do you have any music , Its a interesting fly trying lesson not a disco DUMB
