This plastic, group work...suuper i liked how pure and light they seemed theur jumpings over head around. that is REALLY professional one! nothing but GORGEOUS!!
wow. the emotion in the dancers faces made me so sad.. there are times when I can almost swear that some are close to tears if not crying during the performance. Incredible!! Thank goodness humans have been given the gift to enjoy art. . .
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!really beatiful!!!!!!dancers r so flexible n when watching diz video imagine dat im at da heaven enjoying life...really comfortable...the dancers just like da angel man!!!
In 1986 i was looking at some ballet at the royal Danish ballet in our capitol, i, and most of the other from my class in school, kind of fall a sleep, now, 22 years later, i did not fall a sleep, it was wery beautifull, good harmony in the dance! congratulation! y did it ReArLy good!
The emotion of this dance is found in the movement of the body and not in the face. If one but sets backs, looks at the overall dance and the movement of the dancers the emotion is obvious but if one looks for emotion on the face you will be disappointed because that is NOT where the emotion and feeling is manifested. Simply one of the most beautiful and emotion filled dances I have ever witness. Thank you littlechristina for posting it.
This is truly awesome. Oh and just for those who can't read Chinese. This is not a dance company from China, it's just a dance school from Sichuan, a province in China, participating in a dancing competition. So it most likely will not go to the US for shows. Uh huh I know it's not even the winner I think, you imagine how good the winner will be ;) Yay! Go Chinese we can dance =)!
My god, this is breathtakingly beautiful. I...don't know what else to say. The music, the lighting, the costumes, the dancing...everything is so...beautiful.
Quite the most beautiful display I have ever witnessed. The girls are all so serine and delicate and the movements controlled and refined. If they dance like this in heaven, I'm ready to go now!
I am on a pilgrimage. Stumbling across this dance is like arriving at a secret shrine to the truth and beauty of women and all that challenges and inspires us.
It's considered harder to choreograph and practice because of the huge number of people. It looks marvelous if it's danced perfectly with everyone in synch.
At the beginning it's a bit slow. Then the other dudes come rolling in. The music starts. The main two dancers in white gradually and gracefully execute the introduction. A variety of dance moves follow and I think all together it's wonderfully executed, brilliant :D
this dance is about a class at Sichuan Dance Academy. the choreography is so precise because it is made up of all of the routines and training they do in class. notice the class picture at 6:45? these girls spent years together training and dancing everyday. the bonds between them are so strong!
That beginning part when the line of girls just kicked up their leg and held it was amazing. My inspiration of dance is coming back to me after watching this
oh my gosh! that was superb! you all dance like fairies. That was brilliant and beautiful! no wonder you all won first prize. gong xi! gong xi! Congratulations!
This dance is unbelievable. Those girls are so talented, and the choreography was incredible. This is the most beautiful group dance I've ever seen. I love the turn at 2:35.
Makes one think, this kind of elegance. Defiantly should put raunchy cheerleaders to shame. It's not meant as JUST dance. It's a story. Of what? Maybe triumph over the harshness of reality, or how harmonious life can be. But, it much more then just dance. Truly beautiful
really beautiful, but chinese dances work most of the time with beautiful light effects, costumes and very well trained dancers. We should copy them instead of them copy the west world. (well thats more industry etc. but their history is thousands years older, and has always been better until ... oka this has not much to do with dance) great vid. thanks for uploading.
wow... i have never had a collective dance effort evoke such intense emotions in me. this was truly beautiful. i loved how it evoked emotion and intense reaction from me. this made me cry, especially when they helped the "different one." first time a dance made me cry (good way of course).
One thing nobody seems to express int he comments is the dance's irony. A piece about individuality expressed in a synchronized dance. It hits us so hard BECAUSE they dance in unison. I believe the piece advocates moderation. we need both in this world, to conform and to free think.
Personally I found this very riveting and engaging throughout... they are all such beautifully trained dancers! The music (heavenly voices!) and the movement meshed so well together, props to the choreographer(s). This is so gorgeous, thank you for sharing. :)
I was planning to comment on the very same move -- that continous turn is EXTREMELY difficult to execute so smoothly in a confined area with so many turns. Wow. The entire routine was excellent!
Because you are not a dance lover, if you love dance, you will never feel this is too hard. I hate my parents didn't send me to this kind of training school when I was young.
This should be a adaption of ballet Raise the red lantern, which is a adaption of movie Raise the red lantern too. It helps you understand this dance. The key person behind this is Zhang Yimou (director of Hero, the house of flying daggers, Road home and opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics).
As you can see I did !! Unlike other people I just can't close my eyes to the background of this undoubtfully beautiful dance. Because that IS the way it is in China. I have a friend who lived there and she said that she had to move away because she couldn't take seeing the education and pressure the parents put on their kids. Ever read 'Hyme of a tiger mother'? The way they raise their children is not acceptable in my eyes..
Your comment brought gallons of audible laughter to me. I am choreographing a group work right now. At auditions I described my work like this:if alvin and ailey and martha graham ever had a passionalte love affair, my dance would be the fruit of their loins. This comment confirms it, as I was completely jaw dropped at this video. It's exactly my essence, but more beautiful and physical than I have the capability to perform right now. Breath taking!
the first dancer that appears, she is like the pillar of the dance troups, like the big sister. the one that lifts up her dance shoe, she is like the harworking dancer who never gives up. the part where everyone stares down at her is where she falls. The others wants to help but the 'big sister' said no. Its like a she has to do it herself kinda thing. Then the last part where they all lie on the ground is where everyone is tired out and has fallen.
Получила удовольствие от просмотра этого танца.Понравилась и постановка и мастерство исполнителей.
WOW!!! Chinese people is so creative!! They brought many good things to the world of us to enjoy.
Ok I have watched this video like six times and each time I am more amazed. WOW!! I would pay a fortune to see this live!
This plastic,group work...suuper

theur jumpings over head around.
that is REALLY professional one!
nothing but GORGEOUS!!
The ending killed it for me. Insane choreography movements. Awesome.
wow. the emotion in the dancers faces made me so sad.. there are times when I can almost swear that some are close to tears if not crying during the performance. Incredible!! Thank goodness humans have been given the gift to enjoy art. . .
it's so strong and the dancers are as well... God really blessed us.. =] As a dancer, I will strive harder to become as graceful and strong...
That was..... magnificent!!! I just loved it, its clean and looks simple but I'm sure they put a lot of effort in this, and strength as well
Beautiful dance moves and fantastic backbround music, mix of modern and ancient musics.
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!really beatiful!!!!!!dancers r so flexible n when watching diz video imagine dat im at da heaven enjoying life...really comfortable...the dancers just like da angel man!!!

Absolutely beautiful. Very effective lighting as well.

One of the most amazing dances I've ever seen. These girls just seem to be from another planet.
For the amount of creativity that I see they have, I have the idea that the kind of pressure is not the wrong one : ).

It's considered harder to choreograph and practice because of the huge number of people. It looks marvelous if it's danced perfectly with everyone in synch.

hmm, both the dancers and the stage techs did a great job!
Wow, such beauty and grace in this difficult piece of art :)

This is neat to see, we did a dance similar to this but not nearly as long or as beautiful as this.
extraordinarilly beautiful!!!
I don't know how to describe this with words.
they are legit angels
So beautiful ♥ the music+ the white clothing is just amazing.
Beautifully arranged dance:)
we can see from both their style and technique that this is clearly Chinese classical dance instead of modern
、The topic is a modern one.
Beautiful work, nicely shot too.
