- The Shuffle dance was developed in the 1980s, it is improvised dancing where the person repeatedly “shuffles” the feet inwards, then outwards, while thrusting their arms up and down, or side to side, in time with the beat.
Let’s go into a beautiful shuffle dance which was shot in China.

I tried learning how to shuffle dance but my family banned me from practicing.
Apparently late one night I was trying to practice but apparently my family thought I had fallen down the stairs.
They were not happy. I guess a 60 y/o woman stomping around in the living room in pajamas and wearing headphones was too much for them.
They should know better.

I don't understand the words that the singer was saying but with the instrumental and his singing sounded joyful in the heart.the line dancers were also exceptional! Loved the music &singer&dancers! Awesome 👍😁

I also love the song and melody along with the dance. The singer says 'wo ai ni...' that means 'I love you...', but apart from that I don't understand that much Chinese .
I love Latin music but am horrible at Spanish
I heard "Wo ai ni" which translates as "I love you", one of the two sentences I know in Chinese, the other being "Wo Yao Kai fun", which means "I want fried rice". Both sentences taught to me by my former Malaysian girlfriend.

Fantastic.....I'm a golden oldie but I still like to see people enjoying themselves.....the music is so good and the rythm makes you want to get up and ......shuffle.
I'm not able to dance anymore but watching these young people dance makes me want to get up and start moving to the music 🎶 at 76 and arthritis it can steal a person's joy but watching these young people dance gives me that joy 🎶🎶thank you for sharing your video 🎶🎶

The steps are reminiscent of country line-dancing that was all the rage in the 1980s and remains popular to this day. This just goes to show that good dance steps can have a long life! The matching uniforms and ultra-bright sneakers really make it pop!
Also, some talented hip hop moves. We need more multi- cultural dances...we dancing to be vogue again, period.
This was a version of the shuffle from Australia in the 70's.

I’m 70 and even at 7&17 lacked the coordination to follow any choreography, let alone a group!

There is also a group called the DanDans (or something very similar); they are absolutely magnificent. They seem to float. Every time I watch this, I just love it. I look at every person dancing and not one person is ever out of sync. Very well done to all involved, I’m sure there were many hours of rehearsal to be able to dance so well.

it doesn't take much to mesmerize you, because this as very amateur.
Look for the video that shows the principal of the school somewhere in China doing this shuffle with the entire student body. It's awesome! That's their physical fitness class.

Well, I'm 45 today and we were doing this dance back when I was in High School. Back when Bobby Brown was singing "Every little step I take." This kind of dancing went out of style A LONG TIME AGO, you won't see any youngsters doing this.
Always the old folks dancing in public in China :D You find it everywhere in squares and parks, always a fun atmosphere. There's a backstory to why they do it.
Two of the people who dance/exercise with the group are in their 70's. A couple of the people who do this have had strokes or mentally challenged. I admire all of them for trying.

Jun one of the leaders & started the group. They do this for exercise for an hour or 2 year round & also enter competitions.
This really is amazing, it looks like a tricky routine, but their timing is never off!! It must take hours of practice that they all move as one unit Soooo well!!

Thanks for the lovely post. I don't know what the singer was saying, but his voice and the music are very good. As for the dancing, the people dancing were getting a lot of exercise while having a lot of fun. I really enjoyed watching them. The only downside is that I wanted to get up and dance too, but with 2 bad knees and a bad back, that's no longer an option for me.
