    Just had pikes peak delivery yesterday, the manual is painful, great explanation of rider modes thank you. What be good to see a similar on the Pikes Peak as suspension is difficult along with the smaller front wheel. Cheers Matt

    I really recommend turning wheelie control completely off on the mode you use the most. I did it about 8k miles ago and never looked back. It’s so much fun to be able to ride wheelies on demand through multiple gears. Doesn’t hinder your ability to ride hard. I ride pretty aggressive and even up in the twisty mountain roads you don’t really have to worry about looping it or anything. Very controllable and predictable.

      Agree with it on engine cuts in and out too much can't even enjoy the full power

      Is this on the Rally ?
      If you turn off wheelie control completely you have no cruise control, no blind spot indicator’s & annoying warning light on the TFT screen.

    Love the videos Rembo USMC keep it up, Was looking to swap bike about 2 months ago, from my diavel 2015 to streetfighter v4s. But a few days later i realised that it's impossible from me as a 28 year old in sweden to even insure it, so i keept looking around and saw this v4 pikes peak multistrada, and boy did it look nice. Checked a few videos ( including yours, why the swap from v4 to pikes peak model is good/bad) 2 days later i checked with the swedish sellers and what i could find they had 1 left in sweden so i put some money down and said i'll take it. At this point i had never tested a multistrada but all reviews said one of the best bikes most people ever ridden. Now 4weeks later and almost 300 Metric miles i must admit that i LOVE it, for me it's the best of both worlds. touring and sportiness, and once again thx for you videos some of them made me buy this bike

    So I have been deep into these settings and just rewatched your video here again. So a couple of questions that I haven't been able to find an answer: In essence, if you put all of the settings identical between Sport and Touring for example, are there any other differences that we can NOT tweak? I have been led to believe the Ducati Skyhook System operates differently in each different riding mode, independent of all the settings we can tweak. I have not been able to find an answer to this. And second question, how reliably does the AUTO setting work for preload instead of a pre-determined number? And does this auto setting change in the different riding modes independent of the settings we can tweak... Inquiring minds want to know lol...

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Preload only on the rear and auto level on the V4S. The PP has front and rear adjustment but no electronic preload on the front.

    Nice video, funny that I had my settings almost exactly the same as yours, I used sport mode settings to setup touring mode cause I always ride in that mode, I find my wheelies pull up easier at higher speeds which is more scary lol,my DWC is at 1 also. Go Ducati, what a motorcycle this V4S Multistrada is. Everyone ride safe

    Had mine set up by a suspension specialist in Italy at World Ducati Week this summer, they went in to each setting on Touring and Sport and set it up for me, with luggage and without and taking into account my weight. So now if I am riding with no luggage it is set on Rider and Luggage, if I am touring with luggage it is on Rider, Pillion and Luggage. It handles so much better now, I changed my bike as I had over 20,000 miles on, I took pictures of every screen and transferred it to the new bike (not new exactly, 5 months newer than my first one but only 850 miles, who would buy this kind of bike and not use it?!) I went down the coast road in Croatia in September, which is an amazing road, and fully loaded I was scraping my boots! Love this bike.

      @@RemboUSMC It made it perform so well it allows me to do what I want with it, I did almost all my miles touring Europe so having the confidence on a very wet Grossglockner mountain road in Austria was just amazing. And because it was done at WDW it was free. I have some video, will try and post it.

    Hey man, thanks for this. Quick question. From experience, what would you say is the optimal preload setting for a 165lb person? Any idea how much weight corresponds with each number?

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cannot answer that question because I am not in that weight range and it also depends on how you ride the bike under what conditions.

    Tough decision, brother. I’ve been in your position many times with other expensive bikes and it’s a lose-lose situation. Unless it’s some limited edition ultra-expensive/rare bike, nothing holds its value, although some marques are better than others. While I personally can’t live without at least one “good” bike (I have three currently), it is a “luxury” item that most really don’t need. It’s all about want/desire. I’ve resisted upgrading my ‘11 MTS1200ST as I didn’t want the depreciation hit, and with two others to ride, my bike still looks, performs, and smells new. Do I want a new P-P? You bet! Can I afford it? Nope. I’d have to give my bike away AND sell my newest bike (‘13 H-D CVO E-G, another huge depreciation loss) and I’d still have to kick in money. One day, it makes sense to lose my shirt, give up two like-new bikes, and go into debt to get the P-P. The next day, I “come to my senses” and say “no way”. Ultimately, it’s your personal decision. Nothing about a M/C purchase is rational. These aren’t collectors bikes unless you’re planning on bubble wrapping for 20yrs-plus and hoping it appreciates. If you really want it, and can afford it, buy it! If not, you already have a killer bike, and you’ve got that junior track weapon KTM on order for track day fun. Unless you’re independently wealthy and can afford to throw a $30k-plus bike down the track, it’s not likely to see track duty. I’d love to see you get the bike, but there’s nothing wrong with yours. You can spend money on upgrades (full Akra and up-map comes to mind), just like you’d do on a P-P, but you’re unlikely to see much if any of that back on a trade. If you do upgrades, it’s because you want to, not because it increases its book value (it doesn’t). I’m retiring shortly from a 30yr career as a public employee, selling my house and most of my stuff, and moving from NJ to AZ to start the next chapter in my life with my young fiancée. I’m torn with selling my two bikes and just taking one, maybe buying new one’s, etc. It’s a very tough decision , and I vacillate between options daily. Only you can decide, and I look forward to seeing your decision. In boca di lupo, bocciolo!

    If you switch off wheelie control completely you have no cruise control & warnings on the screen. Pain in the arse.
