Regina Spektor is amazing! I've loved her since FOREVER! I love that the singing is not about riffs or belting, its about truly using her voice as another instrument and Goodneess!! the lyrics are always so unique and thought-provoking!!! I can only hope to one day write a song that is as awe-inspiring as all of hers! Here's to hoping mainstream doesn't change her....
I love her eyes, I love it because you see something in them. You can't help but notice it. I loved her music for a long while prior to ever hearing her talk candidly out of a performance setting and after seeing that it just made her that much better. She has a sweet air of purity about her, soulful and sincere more than anything I suppose. That quality is so undervalued these days. If only people would realize that it doesn't just make music alone beautiful the world would get a lot brighter.
Man oh man!!! did you say the perfect thing. Regina Spektor is the real deal. Her music is just angelic. When someone has the audacity to cover a Beatle song, it better be damn good!! Her version of 'Real Love' is the best anyone can do with a Beatle song. Paul & Ringo must have been starry eyed when they heard that. She is the REAL fifth Beatle.

I can't believe they don't mention Soviet Kitsch ... Songs was technically her first album (i think), but Soviet Kitsch is what got me hooked!! I LOVE Regina!! Amazing songwriter, singer, piano player, woman, human, etc etc... She deserves everything she has and more
