- How I train for 4000m peaks (non-technical). Others might train differently and that's fine, this is just as an inspiration for beginner or moderate hikers.
Training Plan:
Day 1 - 1 mile run + basic strength training
Day 2 - Easy hike 2-3 hours in total (600m altitude gain)
Day 3 - Climbing gym (this can be changed for any co-ordination training, yoga or rest day)
Day 4 - Hiking 3-4 hours (1000m of altitude gain)
Day 5 - Rest day (walk 10-20k steps)
Day 6 - 2 hour Gym, cardio + strength (optional, this can be hiking or other cardio)
Day 7 - Rest day (10-20k walk)
When to start training?
For average fit (like me) start one month before your climb
For quite unfit, start 2-3 months before
For very unfit people start with 2-3 workouts / week and gradually increase the volume every month, 6 months to one year prior to your climb

One of the best videos yet! 🤗 never disappointing with the puns! You sell that alarm sound somewhere?
Nice job :)
Ok Taiwan is more beautiful than expected
The stairmaster is so underrated. I live in Houston, Texas. Sea level. Flat as a pancake. The stairmaster is my go to machine.
Do you plan to make videos of peaks you've climbed but not recorded? ;)
Very good question! Yes! Sweden, Poland and Germany were the first three peaks so I'll re-do those and make a video for each!
@@onsightmartin Super ;), this year I was on the highest peak of Poland, and in the future I also plan to take on this challenge. But for now I am still too young :D
@@beguga2137 Good job! 👏
