Oh yeah thank you all, I’m a bit relieved because last night, only God knows. I cried holding my baby, he’s almost 2 months old and started doing this about almost a week ago. Most people say if their navel is turning in out, they do that too. I pray God protect all babies and newborn mother always. We need it

Just to calm new parents who are suffering from this - My baby had same issue from week 6 and it has gone now at week 11. I have taken him to doctor many times for this and doctor said it's normal and suggested not to give any medicine or gripe water as the Baby may get habituated to them. We trusted him and followed him and yes it is normal and my baby is all good now. Again as everyone advices , just wait!!! It will go away in few weeks.

@@cyrilllarcena4634 it could be due to overfeed as well. Feed often with less quantity. My baby as well do spit up often (little more than normal spitup), even I could say after each feed while burping he spit up milk. My doctor said It is normal due to reflex that infants have and will go away once the baby reach 3 months as their digestive system will get matured by the time. The scariest thing is my baby was spitting up through nose as well. Now it's been reduced. Trust me, once your baby reach 3 months, everything will be alright 🙂. Happy parenting.

Just a little update. My boy is 16 weeks tomorrow. And hasn’t been grunting at all for the last few weeks. It kinda just disappeared suddenly I guess he grew out of it at around 3 month mark just as they say baby’s digestive system matures around that time, and to us that’s exactly what happened ( touch wood it stays this way haha). I’ve dragged him to doctors so many times about this, we been given stuff for reflux etc but nothing really worked until he hit 3 months. I know it’s hard and I hate this advice-but you just have to wait it out I guess ☺️😘 good luck everyone! X

Giving baby tummy massage helps a lot!! They’ll poop almost right away!
Did this for my son earlier while he was feeding cause he wasn’t taking the bottle comfortably. I burped him and continued to feed him but he was still grunting so I followed that by tummy massage! Right away he felt better! 15 minutes later he made a big poop.

My 2weeks old have been going through the same tummy ache and my mum asked me to buy gripe water from the store. He’s been better ever since. It’s stomach upset, we should know the right problem so that we can solve it. It happens to 99.9% infants in the first few weeks up until the third month in some cases.

Don't give gripe water. It will just help you to stop grunting. Let the baby fight with it and overcome it by himself. If you give gripe water he will get habituated to it and it will be very hard to stop it. All we need to do is tolerating the noise he make, because it's absolutely normal and baby is not suffering, so no medicine required. Once the baby reach 3 months, it will be alright. My baby was doing this from week 6 and it's gone now by week 11. Many suggested me to give water and gripe water but we trusted pediatrician and didn't give anything.

My wife and I are going through this with our daughter and it is very stressful. We tell ourselves its not painful but then sometimes you get upset usually at night time when everyone is exhausted. My wife sometimes puts her on her side and that helps and holds her. I have read and read and it seems it has to run its course. Again, I am no doctor but also feel free to reach out to yours if you are upset (that is why we pay so much for insurance). Ever other part of her life is great and she sleeps well its just tough. Hang in there!

This is completely normal baby sounds. All babies this age make sounds like this. Literally nothing too be alarmed about or stressed about. Babies make a ton of different noises, grunts, coos, cries as this is how they communicate and develop their voice. Them making sounds like this does not mean they're in pain. Babies make a very specific cry when they're in pain and this is definitely not it. They'll do this sound when they're waking up, when they get disturbed, as one of the first signs of hunger, etc. If your baby didn't make any sound then it would be time to worry. All 3 of my children did this at this age and every other baby I've been around that's this age does it. Again totally normal. Everyone is freaking out and making a big deal over nothing.

But my baby's condition didn't improve much so later on he gave one probiotic also, 3 drops to be given empty stomach and stopped dairy products for me as I was providing BM, but I didn't have sufficient supply to feed so for to compensate that doc suggested to go for a hydrolysed formula Neutramigen LGG Hypoallergenic formula. This formula was a blessing to us as baby never had colic again like he was having with other milk based formula and we were so relieved 😊

There is nothing abnormal about this at all. Its normal baby sounds for babies this age. All three of my children did this and every other newborn to 2 to 3 month old babies i've been around do this. They cry and make noises for a variety of reasons as this is how they communicate at this age. They usually do it when waking up, as first signs of hunger, when theyve been disturbed, etc. This is not a sound of discomfort or pain either. They make very soecific cries when in pain and trust me you'll know it.

My baby had colic, he did this constantly.
The Dr. advised a baby with colic has the instinct to suck...whether hungry or not, for sucking soothes the discomfort.
Did you see how the baby rooted quickly with the Mama's finger...now he may be hungry, but he instinctually has that self soothing need to suck.

I've just had this same problem with my son. I talked to a lot of professionals and believe my son is intolerant to cows milk (different to lactose intolerance). I've change to a formula based on hydrolysed cows milk. Hydrolysed means the formula has been treated with enzymes to break down most of the cows milk protein. My son's grunting and all other symptoms stopped immediately. You'd be surprised how much discomfort it can cause and how it can cause discomfort throughout the entire digestive system. I don't have scientific proof but I'm almost 100%. I tried everything and finally at 7 weeks my son' has relief.

Try to rub his or her belly and or hold them face forward with the legs against the belly to keep pressure but not to much most of the time is gas babies need a lot of love and skin to skin don’t forget and like I said stay calm you will do great also fallow your instincts if you need to call your doc. She can not sleep flat she grunts and spits up. I believe it’s reflux. You can also buy things to prop her bed about 30 degrees. I'm here because my baby cousin did the same grunting noise all day in night, he's 3 months old.
About a month ago he stopped breathing was rushing to the hospital where he was DOA but they managed to revive him after about 6 minutes.
The doctors are saying it's was SIDS and that he got to the hospital just in time.
But here's the thing, after about a week of him being in the hospital, they did an MRI and found yellow fluid on his brain. They think the grunting was from him being in pain and having seizures. When she had him, they had her pushing at 6 centimeters instead of 10. They had to do an emergency c-section because he stopped breathing. Now they have a lawyer because, the baby has been in the hospital for over a month Two surgeries to drain the buildup fluid from his brain and constantly on pain meds.
