There's a big hole in the prosecution's case. Without the systematic abuse from Trevor as a motive, which the prosecution tried to undermine in court, they barely have identified another plausible motive for a cold blooded murder. How a jury could find them guilty of murder on this basis would be beyond me.

Obviously the younger daughter is quite working class but surely even at her age she would know that to use the compound adjective 'made-up' ( she/ I was made-up) in a courtroom just makes her sound thicker than mince.
@@cakes3958unfortunately they are worse in real life😢. It's awful when you know what happened, but in most cases we don't. He appeared calm and even quite camp in public, definitely gentle. But unfortunately it's how it works. If a man isn't successful and appears to the public as lovely and gentle, he'd never get away with beating his wife. (Or woman I assume).
Fantastic set of episodes. Brookside was at its peak here. 👍 Denis Lill almost steals the show as the prosecution barrister.

Probably the best court scenes ever performed in the world of soap. Dennis Lill did a great turn here.

I guess they were trying to say that Mandy killed him so that she could be with Sinbad but they didn’t really make it a focal point

The way the prosecutor interrogated her was extremely over the top. The worst part of these episodes.
