I like how with the pan, tin, or whatever it is it's not this long drawn out animation with music. Just it simply falling and crushing everyone

2:30 The Piggy Bank. These dance moves are hamtastic! Plus, you get paid after the show!
3:00 The Bone. Good girl! Press A when Bella hits an enemy for extra damage!
3:21 The Bottle Opener. A toast to Mario! Press A when it hits an enemy for extra damage!
3:40 The Ice Pick. So this is what Bowser's been using for spikes on his buildings all these years! Press A when it hits an enemy for extra damage!
4:00 The Balloons. Lifts enemies up, up and away, which may defeat them in an instant.
4:30 The Tea Set. Care for a spot of knives? Press A when the tea pours for extra damage!
5:03 The Turnip. Bet Mario's never had to throw THESE kinds of Turnips before! Press A when it cuts for extra damage!
5:24 The Basin. Anvil. Press A right before it hits for extra damage!
5:38 The D-Cell Battery. Poor Huey. Press A when it strikes for extra damage!
6:02 The Camera. Say "Mozzarella!" Makes a dummy that enemies attack instead of you. Press A to strike a pose so it can absorb more hits!
6:25 The Compass. Mario phone home! Allows you to flee from any fight.
6:52 The Lightbulb. *Advance!* Mash A to deal more damage and blind enemies for longer!
7:06 The Cork. Make it rain! Mash A to deal more damage and Crumple enemies for longer!

I like the Batterie's battle cry and the Recorder's tornado 🌪. It is so classic mario right there.
Honestly I don't get why people hate color splash so much, yeah the game is quite bare bones with original npcs and personality but the game looks good and animation on some of these items and other cutscenes are quite promising and the dialog is funny and unique at sometimes, i know it isn't really everyone's cup of tea but the game has a lot of personality and charm and good visuals and is quite underrated.
Might be the similarities in gameplay to Sticker Star.

never understood this meme actually, out of a few NPC most of the paper mario were kind of generic. I think their flavor lies in their dialogues, which is very present in color splash.
