The Ankor Wat was built by Siamese ancestor, which was not today Cambodian. As you could see some old temples in many part of Thailand similar to the famous Ankor Wat, because it was built 'before' it. Those 'Khom' in those days was Siamese ancestor, not Cambodians. That is why King Rama IV wanted to relocated the Ankor Wat to siam. But all he did can only model them in order to let the next generations to learn that it was built by us, not Cambodians.
Ankor Wat was built in period of Siam, Thai are capable to build new one or even maintain in good condition but Cambodia could not maintain the Ankor Wat and asked India to help them, Cambodia always claimed that they are originated but according to model of Ankor Wat that keep in France it is identified Siam as originated of Ankor Wat. There are many places located in Thailand, the style of art are similar to Ankor Wat. Cambodia has copied our Thai art and insisted it is Cambodia art but what they had built and made it still far behind from our outstanding art culture. These can prove that who is originated. Siam King also sent artist and culture mentor to help Cambodia in decades, this is why Cambodia has similar cultures and costume.
The Cambodia colony of Siam over 450 years old now today Hunsen try to calm culture of Thailand and write fake history to new generation in Cambodia make Thailand like a Thief stolen everything from Cambodia avoid people interest corruption and keep power in Cambodia . No France no Cambodia (Siem reap = Destroy Siam) Change name from (Siem ma rat =land of Siam) after France controls Cambodia.
Of course, Khmer was a colony of Siam for hundreds of years. Before the French took over it was a fact that could not be denied
@@AfureAofkun actually more than 500++ years that Cambodia have to used the Thai rules my friend but in Cambodia they do not teach this story to their kids.
And also even their "Cambodian King" that have to raised and studied here in Bangkok Thailand by the Thai people just wanted him to go back to recovery his Cambodia country.
At that time the Thai Royal family even let the Cambodian King Celebrated his "Coronation day" for the Cambodian here in Bangkok Thailand. Otherwise do you think there is still Cambodia country left in this world if the Thai did not help them even raised their little king?
But so sad nowadays Cambodian people never study the real history but only studied from the communism brainwashed source that's what they know in their brains are just hate the Thai people. Because they all thought that they are the real owner just like they Cambodian people love to wear the Thai Traditional dress and trying to claim as their Traditional Cambodian dress most of their superstar love to wear it and also their Miss Cambodian wear the Thai Traditional as their Traditional Cambodian dress and said Thai people copied them.
And yes just this week the Cambodian government just came out and told their Cambodian to stop wear the Thai Traditional dress and claimed it because it's not nice and hope their Cambodian people to wear their own Traditional dress because nowadays noone in Cambodian know what their Traditional Cambodian dress looks like and afraid their Traditional would be disappear.
But there are still some Cambodian do not believe their government and still want to claim the Thai Dress even most of their superstar already deleted those posts out from the social media. Lol
Its in the past. No one knows for sure. However, historical ruins in Thailand are way older than ruins in Cambodia. This means that the civilization came from Thailand to Cambodia today. Angkor wat was modelled after Phimai in Thailand.
Anyways, today Thai people already show how they are creative engineers who can build intricate beautiful infrastructures with such craftsmanship. Cambodian people cant do this yet.

The 'emerald buddha' is actually 'jade' ( Nephrite) But back in those days (around more than 250 years ago) Siamese people called those 'green stone' มรกต which came from the greek word Smaragdos, hence the name of the buddha.

I watched your video, it was fun, you guys were laughing a lot. You brought your father and mother A fun adventure in the scorching heat of Bangkok. Wat Phra Kaew is very beautiful. You must take a boat in the evening. The weather will be nice and beautiful. Items to make you happy with your vacation in Bangkok. Thai people always smile and welcome you.

FYI, To show respect by incense you will have to put it together in 3 which is standed for Buddha, Dharma and Monk but if you put it in one means showing respect to the death person

I was in Thailand Jan 14 -Feb 12 of this year visiting my Fiancée, it felt good, I felt at home there. It's an amazing place, interesting and spicy food. I'm going back next year for my wedding.

LOVED seeing your parents experience Thailand for the first time! Your mom's reaction was just like Adam's when he tried durian 😂😂😂 And then the contrast to her reaction about the tea was just gold! Now we want Thai milk tea 😍
It was so much fun, they really embraced everything and had a great time. And people's reactions to durian just never gets old. The best part was that she couldn't smell it before trying it so the surprise was more than we could have asked for 😂 And we can relate, we can always go for some Thai milk tea 🧋😋

Cambodia was colony of Siam (nowadays Thailand) from 1594 when Longvek capital city was sacked by Ayutthaya troop. Angkor wat was under Siamese territory since then until later ceded to France in 1907

The reason why they made model of Ankor wat. beacuse of King Rama IV like and want to moved Ankor wat from Cambodia to Siam ( Siam ruled Cambodia at that time). But they could not move it, So King Rama IV deciced to make the model instead.

Just one tip, you have to use 3 incenses to pay respect to the Buddha Image. I saw you buy one set (3 incenses) at the Grand Palace and share one of them with your mom, dad and yourself. Thai normally use 1 incense to pay respect to the death spirits, not Budha Image. ☺️ BTW, I do love your cheerful contents and very happy that you love my Thailand. Cheers!!! 🤍🇹🇭
