The elephant is the symbol of Thailand. We are most grateful to you guys. to visit and do activities with our elephants May you be happy and enjoy your next trip.
The Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai is an elephant sanctuary where volunteers can stay a week or more at the sanctuary to help take care of the elephants and other rescue animals such as dogs, cats, buffaloes...etc. There is a fee that you have to pay but it includes your housing and meals. The owner of the sanctuary is Lek Chalert, and she's known all over Thailand as the elephant whisperer.
And you can’t bathe with elephants there because it’s not ethical!!

Elephants and Thai people We consider elephants to be meritorious to us. In ancient times, elephants were used in battle to defend our country. The king will ride on his war elephant and command battle.
What an incredible experience! Hearing the elephant's stories and then seeing how pampered they are now made us so happy! We especially loved the one that went underwater lol!
They literally all captured our hearts. They had all been through so much and yet are so gentle and sweet 🐘💛 And the one that went under water was so cute 🥰
Actually, bathing with elephants is not natural and therefore NOT ethical!!! Ask Voices For Asian Elephants. It needs to stop!
Damn what a memorable trip for your parents. You showed them a great time. Thailand is always a crazy experience for first timers - learning, tasting, seeing or experiencing something new every second as if you were reborn and discovering your surroundings for the first time again. It really awakens your soul.

I also have always wanted to touch, feed an Elephant, I think there amazing and beautiful. Mud bath your elephant. There having su much fun in the water with the customers. I wonder if you new that there’s a hotel that you can stay the night and play with the Elephant that day and the next day?? Almost elephant not from the jungle. Thai culture take care them like a license "PET".
Bathing and touching elephants is equally unethical as riding them. The only reason they’re docile around you is because they were tortured as babies. The only ethical interaction with an elephant is from afar, giving them their space.

These are not sanctuaries. Elephants have been tortured so they can interact with humans. Avoid anyplace where there is human interaction with elephants. Use google and educate yourselves.

Just a trip to Ayutthaya to see tourists riding elephants. I love Thailand but some Thais abuse animals. A fact. @@sompongulsungnoen2376
There is nothing ethical about this elephant park and you posting this video is contributing to the continued abuse of these elephants in tourism. Forcing elephants to bath with people daily is the same as forcing them to entertain.
The elephant that was swaying back and forth that you said was dancing is not dancing. Do your research. This back and forth swaying is a typical sign of deep emotional stress, anxiety and depression in elephants - which is well documented.
The only ethical elephant parks are ones that only allow you to observe them in a natural environment at a distance.
How would you feel being forced to bathe every day at the same time and have hundreds of strangers touching you. Allowing people to bathe them or touch them is not a natural behaviour. This is using the elephants as entertainment. There are many true sanctuaries now that don’t allow bathing or riding. Support one of those with your influence.
Please take this video down and stop encouraging elephant abuse in tourism if you truly love elephants.

As a Thai and elephant lover, I'd like to recommend Elephant Nature Park (ENP) in Chiang Mai. It's a very first sanctuary in Thailand and one of the most ethical sanctuary in the world according to National Geographic. In Phuket there're many elephants camps with similar name but they're not quite a true sanctuary. The most ethical sanctuary in Pheket is Phuket Elephant Sanctuary (PES). This sanctuary is a co-project with Elephant Nature Park in Chiangmai. If you really love elephant please consider and support this 2 sanctuaries on your next visit. It's fun to watch your video. I hope your parents love and enjoy their time in Thailand. Thank you.😊❤
Yes, at Elephant Nature Park you’re not allowed to swim with the elephants because it’s not natural for them. It’s not considered ethical.
