They worked out many of them,so they must have decided to get 2 after that. Blazers have drafted well enough, lillard was 6th but had no superstar rep, anfernee 24th n hes fringe all star on a good team, cj was 10th
It doesn't make any sense for the Blazers to trade into the top 5 and getting anything less than Sarr. The best case, imo, is Blazers trading 14, 34 & 40 to get 8, 9, or 10. Ideally, we trade for 8 and get back-to-back picks that we love.
Trading for 3 gets you anybody but Sarr and Risacher. So who would that be that you have to move up to get? Nobody that I can see, but maybe they really have big hopes for somebody. I don't see a dude there. Going from 14 to 9 might make more sense, assuming you are not giving up the farm.
Just saw a Memphis podcaster suggest the Blazers trade Robert Williams and 14 for the Grizzlies pick at 9. If that’s enough to get say, Knecht and Salaun, is it worth it?
They could trade one pre-draft (unlikely) because they have two and the rule is that you need one. Or they could trade both as long as the trades were completed after the draft.
One take I haven't heard, taking Topic would help the dilemma of having too many players rostered. Plus gives them a bonus quasi-lottery pick next year when he comes back, since they're punting 24/25 already.
Does the Blazers front office think they know what they are doing in evaluating draft talent? They have to think so otherwise they are in the wrong career. Is there a chance they are wrong and the pick(s) will be busts? Of course but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Is there another, more reliable, way to add high level talent to the roster (trades for established players, free agency, etc) compared to this? Not so much. What happens if the Blazers do this and miss? It stretches out the rebuild for another season or two but making a more conservative play will only put them on the path to NBA mediocrity. So SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) inclines me to believe this is an acceptable risk,
Houston should be getting #40 NOT the #34 pick! Following players that are speculated to be available at or around the #34 pick: Kyshawn George, Zach Edey, Ryan Dunn, DaRon Holmes, Tyler Smith, Ajay Mitchell to just name a few. If you traded back to #40 I doubt any of these players are still available there. There is no way in hell I would give them another future 2nd round pick as a sweetener either.
There is no way Brogdon, #14 and #34 gets you #3 from the Rockets. The only way to get to #3 is to include either #7 or Simons. That is too rich for the Blazers though. I think using Brogdon and #14 to move up to #9 is more realistic.
@@LockedOnBlazers clearly to draft both, some trades would need to be arranged and some centers would play power forward. If you’re trading Grant, and Williams, Clingan and Edey both fit the rebuild timeline better. Rather than mock the idea consider the longterm possibilities. Ayton is not bound to Portland in two years, what if he goes free agent, they would be ready.
Who upon our team if traded to The Bucks could help Dame win a championship? I mean they helped the Celtics this year. We still owe Dame a better chance than our management gave him
Draft Edy. He compares for college stats to nearly every NBA Hall of Fame player who played center with their college stats and who are 7 foot 2 inches at least. He shot 60% from the field in college. Shot well from 3. I would draft him or Clingon. Trade up by trading veterans.
As long as we Sharpe abs Simon’s. Anyone else can go.
I don't see how sarr can possibly by passed up in the draft, but if he fell to 3rd and Houston wants to trade Portland should go all in on that move!
Needed size wings. No more guys under 6'6

I think the recent workouts prompted the interest in moving up in the draft.
I think it’s Edey.
Edey will produce for a decade.
So many mediocre forwards.
Hope is not a plan.
I think POR would do very well coming out of this draft will Da Silva and Edey.
Go for a star wing 25 draft.

We need to move at least one vet this draft, and at least one vet at the deadline. Not doing so clogs our movement well into the future !

A Memphis Podcaster, as in me a few days ago?

Can the Blazers trade a first rounder? I thought because of the number one they still owe Chicago, they can’t trade a first round pick.
They could trade one pre-draft (unlikely) because they have two and the rule is that you need one. Or they could trade both as long as the trades were completed after the draft.
The Chicago pick is not in play because both are lottery picks
I really like the idea of two top 10 picks to improve potential hit rate of getting one star out of the draft
I hate to go 2k here... But if we can get to 9, that would make a move to 3 much easier. Ofc, if you can get to 3... why not 1?! 😂
I think they would be willing to move up if they can dump a veteran that they want to get rid of this summer anyway.
Something like Jerami Grant + 14 for 5 could honestly work, if Portland are desperate to get off his guaranteed money
Speculation at this time of year is rampant..and invariably inaccurate
Like the show however you’re taking 100 years to get to your takes and points.

No more guardsssssssss
@@NatejdubI feel ya, but I also, ya know....have zero faith.
Off topic, no pun intended, we don’t need another guard. Unless you trade Brogdon and Simons.

I bet you’re right about the Rockets deal. Brogdon and 14 isn’t enough.
#14 + Simons for #3 is also just horrible for Portland
Simons clears any guard in this draft easily
@@CarloBarlo69 Agree. It would cost a ton to move up to #3 and not worth it.
Lol nahhh
Why not draft both Clingan and Edey both? Go big
5 centers?
@@NatejdubKeeping Portland Weird indeed
Why stop there? Adem Bona at 34. N'Faly Dante at 40. You can never have enough centers with limited shooting range!

If we want edy we don’t have to trade up, he will be there at 14. I think we should fade him tho he’s gonna get picked apart in the pick n roll
