Always thought this song sounded like the Chicago vocal group, THE ARTISTICS, biggest hit "I'm Gonna Miss You (1966)." On his record, Daryl sings in mezzo-voce, somewhat like, though not exactly falsetto. Here he does his song mostly in natural voice, a high tenor.
