Ok. For everyone wondering about this injury , I suffered a grade 2 calf strain , from the injury date to when I could walk properly without any pain took 7.5 weeks , it is a process. Week 1 and 2 you have to rest , RICE, and use crutches , week 3 and 4 , move more but be careful, week 5 and 6 , this is when you can walk more without pain , and start to incorporate exercises, weeks 6 and 7 , you should be healed now , . Lol I currently am laying in bed with grade 2 calf tear. I’ve also had a tear twice. And let me tell you that feeling of someone kicking is spot on. For a split second you’re happy because it makes sense someone kicked you rather than your calf gave out. Then you turn around and fall to the floor and realize it was just your calf. It’s been less than a week for me and it’s sad because I’m not going be able to walk for at least a month and that’s with a brace
@@thisisjustanillusion6486 how are you right now? How long did it take you to start walking again? I’m in in the same case, I have a grade 2 Calf tear too I have a week and half like this and I barely can put my foot in the floor, I can’t wait to see the day I can walk again.
@@erickgomez1798 the first couple of weeks are hard. most things will heal 80% in 60-90 days. ive torn my calf a couple times (basketball) it normally heals completely in 3 months. just try to let it heal properly
Going threw this right now playing soccer , I honestly thought someone kicked me 😢😂
Expectation: Achilles tear, calf musle tear
Reality: "Oh don't underestimate the amount of things you can tear in there...could be anything!!"
i’ve had a right calf strain before
Really hope it's not achilles. I tripped on a soccer ball once and instead of experiencing an ankle inversion sprain, my fibula broke. I thought about it over and over again because it didn't make sense that my fibula would break before suffering a ruptured tendon somewhere. But then again, I'm glad the fibula broke instead of the tendon getting the stress because bones just heal back to normal very quickly.
looks identical to KD’s injury in the 2019 finals, if i was a celtics fan i would be worried about an Achilles injury
It was diagnosed as a calf strain
doc im curious, what team are you a fan of? 😂
I've been wondering that too bro😂😭
I've had this injury ur muscle just spasms I've always been curious about this an it come back completely normal gets tiff and continues to move
Same thing happened to me couple of days ago, how long before it heals and what can I do to speed up the process please anyone?
How long does something like this take to recover from. Literally just happened to me today and I can’t walk at the moment. Mine is in exactly the same place doing a very similar movement. Don’t have allot of annual leave at work and hoping it’s not going to take ages. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
Hey pal, it happened to me today. Do you remember how long it took to recover?
I feel like this is going to happen to me. Right below my calf it hurts after I play my basketball games.
Big poppa doc
This happened to me and I still went to work.
I had an almost identical calf muscle injury around 12 years ago. My calf hasn’t been 💯 since.
We are simple, We see a Brian Sutterer video, we click.
How long does it take for something like this to heal? Especially for a soccer player?
Thanks
