tip for anyone struggling or if you havent tried yet, this boss always spams the weapon art like 2-3 times so if you dodge it the first time just keep your distance or keep dodging, dont dodge it and try to trade.
@lcb6130 that's exactly what I did but using giantsflame take thee, works quite well too. But nonetheless, fair strategies did not seem to work against him 😄
@@kindredkurse Another strategy to consider is a great shield. Great shields are heavily overlooked in this game. A good great shield and a talisman or two can completely negate 100% of damage from physical attacks but also negate stamina loss from blocking. You can block all his normal attacks really easily and guard counter every time. When he uses his ash of war, he will run right up to you and even run into you sometimes. You can circle around and backstab during his Ash of War windup easily.
Beating this boss if you’re struggling: Fingerprint Greatshield, blood affinity with shield crash. White mask Alexander’s shard Rotten Winged Sword Insignia + Millicent’s Prosthesis Two Headed Turtle Talisman Just watch your stamina because it’s a bad punish 😂 Got it in one try once I switched to this
I would suggest to ignore this weapon as its actually fucking terrible, easily the worst bleed based weapon in all of Elden ring not even an exaggeration. 55 bleed with no arcane scaling, D strength and B in dexterity puts this weapons base AR a paltry 803 with a max build. The weed cutter L2 has a lot of issues, you have to keep pressing L2 for it to chain and its pretty slow at swinging, also there is little if any hyper armor while using weed cutter. Considering how far into the DLC you find this its objectively bad at everything. Take the great katana and add blood wild strikes to it. At +25 that weapon you find at the start of the DLC does 143 bleed, AR of 1097, and wild strikes ash of war is what weed cutter should of been. Swings twice as fast, hold L2 to swing forever until you run out of FP or stamina ( whichever comes first ) and you have near infinite hyper armor while swinging, ( have yet to find any boss or enemy interrupt my attack while swinging ).

Has anyone else noticed their mimic tear summon is brain dead after a recent update? Like literally worthless. Mine uses exclusively the worst spells, worst items, at the worst times and in the worst spots. They receive zero aggro anymore too. It’s worse than useless now. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Equipt them with one spell if you only want them to use a good spell. Give yourself good armor and hp regen, as well as preferably a weapon with prayerful strike.

You have to kill the one with the two swords that’s aggressive, than a hippo/porcupine to get into the castle you need to go through to get to the weapon

I mean only once, but if you keep your distance you can bait her into some pretty huge openings and she’ll get greedy with her ash of war so you can mess her up after that too
I have to say, i really despised their obsession with making hair stick out of helmets in this game. It kinda ruins the immersion of a unique armor set.

Wouldn’t be so bad if these annoying humanoid bosses didn’t lunge 55 meters into you cause that’s the only thing helping them close distance. Either try parrying or use a heavy weapon with giant hunt which is a new ash of war.

Might be good to explain that the chest piece increases damage dealt but also greatly increases damge taken

So very near the end behind one of the waterfalls is the rest of the Dryleaf set, minus Dane’s hat which he drops after the fight with him.
To anyone struggling, just use an ash of war that staggers npcs. Giants hunt for example. Fight spammy bs with spammy bs.
The Fire Knight version works well, Fire lance or whatever it’s called

Great tip on the katana but the armor set is what most are going for here, with its Dmg bonus. But good to know about the katana

It will only use what items and spells you are equiped with. So change up what you equip if you don't like it's load out.
They must have fixed it because my Mimic helped me destroy the Mother of Fingers, and did everything including healing itself and wrecking its 💩
