Starting the DLC tonight and I’m honestly worried. My only character is on NG+7…
I’ve heard that the enemies and bosses hit like trucks in NG+, like one shots all around. Good luck 😭

I started on my lvl 200 char on ng+1 and they wrecked the shit outta me. Once you get the upgrades it does get easier but ng+7 on a first playthrough is gonna suck balls. Good luck with Mesmer
Im on my max Level Charakter on ng49 and i got 1 shot by an imp
I mean the bosses are fine but like the weakest enemy will twoshot you with full goat armor so it feels like I'm playing no hit on bosses.
They hit hard. Don’t matter what level or Journey you’re on… you’ll get clapped hard. They have a whole different scaling here.

Yeah but if you are 7+ you get a moveset expension
Ng+ does apply in the dlc the bosses in the files literally have different health depending on what Ng+ your on Ng+ last boss has 66k health
Ng+7 is much harder in the dlc all bosses pretty got 100k health
if you have at least 15 scadutree blessings you will notice a difference. Keep exploring!

Did the same :)) However, if you don't get the Scadutree fragments, even the most basig mobs will flatline you in 2 hits
A word of advice from someone also playing ng7 and stuck on the final boss, use mimic and please get all scadutree fragments and revered spirit ashes
lol I started on NG+6. Lol it is horrible but still fun and a challenge. But definitely can’t tank hits like in base game.

That kindred of rot with the Moore quest actually isn’t dead initially and I think you’re supposed to heal it for his quest. When I found it I killed it on impulse and he actually invaded me there and dropped the armor, so you finding it next to dead bug might actually mean you failed his quest too
I failed nearly every single NPC quest this first go around

I have a question about the buff that death knight armor gives on lightning spells, does it work with all spells like red lightning? and do you need to have the complete set or are just a few pieces enough?
I use my same armor I had in the base game, but there’s a hidden boss that drops a hat that I really luv so I wear it now. If I had to pick one of the 10, I’d probably go with the bear.
The Shield of Night, counters magic. If you block magic with it, it sends it back, but stronger (i believe). It will even send back melee magic.
It doesnt just send those projectiles you were shooting.
The fire knight armor looks fire 🔥 ngl
For whatever reason for my playthru I didn't get the black syrup and b4 I reached the ShadowKeep, I head to where his armor set was at the dead kindred, but he was alive and immediately aggro towards me

The red flame Knights also has 3 other helmet variants all in the same zone just different parts of it
Moore armour nowhere to be found. Found his lifeless body, without any armour near. Finished his quest too. Dont know why but im going second run through the Shadow Realm so wish me luck lol
There’s a dungeon in the southeast area that has the Lamenter transformation if you defeat him. Easily accessible from the beginning of the DLC.
How to use it

What is Lamenter transformation?
@@str8swishing it’s a Beast form you take like the dragon transformation. The Lamenter is the Boss you defeat to get it
There's also a longsword fire knight before Mesmer's boss room that gives you the metallic helm version of the fire knight set and the flame spear ash of war
I haven’t seen any new armor or weps that further enhances my Comet Azur build on my Night Comet build.

Firespark has the highest damage output. Deadly poison is really good, it applies quickly. All of them stagger human enemies and players.
But they're slower than other weapons.

I’ve been using the death knight armor set with the death knight longhaft axe. Although I’m trying to figure out talisman optimization.
How’d you make it from shadow keep to raksshasa? I went south of shadow keep but I’m seeing no way down
Everyone says that levels don’t matter, trust me they make a big difference. Obviously theirs different scaling, but those higher stats into your build hits those bosses way harder.
I need advice, i complete 4 playthroughs when this game came out and racked up around 300+ hours playing time. But i havent played since 2022. Is it worth me starting a new game before doing this? I cant really remember a lot about little things lol
The DLC is meant to be punishing without scadutree fragments and the revered spirit ashes. IMO as long as you are level 120+ it doesn't really matter what ng version you're on, you just have to grab those fragments or any enemy will kill you in about 2-3 hits. Also, I highly recommend respec vigor to 60 regardless of build.

For the death night armor set, I defeated the boss there but that short cut is not open
Im on new game plus 7 and I have to calculate EVERYTHING ONE WRONG MOVE AND IM TOAST. I have to use mimic tear my pride is gone. Dont blame for using summons because everything hits like a nuke.
What if you do this with no NG + and just go right after you beat blood boy? Seems like it’s worse with NG++

@@maiafayif you’re good at souls, this entire game is a joke aside from malenia imo. Nothing in the dlc even comes close to Melanias amazing fight. The hardest thing to kill is the damn fire golems because they have the health pool of midir and the shittiest mechanics I’ve seen implemented into a souls game.

Yeah i went up to that church and his armor is not there i gave the syrup to the dragon npc and hes still sitting at the site of grace. Guessing i hsve to get further into the game. Ive only beat 2 msin story bosses. Ive been exploring everywhere except the areas where the main bosses are lol

Anybody knows how I can get the Verdigris Armor set after processing way further in the game? I can't get the dialogue that he got, I also cant give Thiollier the Syrup because he isn't there anymore
Just keep progressing until you get to the last area. You will get invaded by many npcs including verdigris and they all drop loot if u kill them

It doesn’t matter what level your at even if your max level this dlc is hard for everyone. There’s a new leveling system with this dlc you have to collect the new scadutree fragments to boost up your attack and defense power

I beat the first 2 main bosses that rellana boss was a bit rough if I'm being honest I died quite a bit but finally beat the boss!

Yea every single mob and boss scale with your level so it’s kinda like an even fight every time, so you will never be over leveled for a boss fight
@@karnage7665I mean, if you have a good build and a LOT of experience (I consider anything over 500-600 hours a good amount of experience) in soulsborne games it’s really not. (Could also just be my 4000+ hours across just Bloodborne, elden ring and ds1) But yeah it will totally crush some players with less than 300 hours total on soulsborne games.
@@void4001 said it all. And if you are struggling here, either you can't build or you can't use the game mechanics. Frost is good vs almost all here, and parry is stupid easy to do now. Only reason to be struggling is low knowledge i guess?

she's in a side quest, and after beating her and talking to her again you can give her one of two items. a grace iris that turns her into an ash summon (decently strong but not the best) or if you give her occult iris she gives you her sword called the sword of night. it's a katana with pitch black blade that goes through shields physical resistance. the weapon art is called witching hour slash and it's kinda like a mini waterfowl dance and looks awesome.
the side quest is in a large cathedral like place, mid right side on the map, may take a while to get to.

Unfortunately while the armor of night looks amazing it has awful poise and low defenses. I hate how important hitting 51 poise is because it completely invalidates a lot of armor sets.

The main game was borderlining on impossible and was almost unplayable. This DLC is worse yet! A DLC that is too hard is not even fun. Only a psycho would get enjoyment from dying over & over thousands of times. That is not fun, it's just pure frustration. Not worth playing. Time to get a REFUND!
Lol, not only is parrying extremely easy now since the last patch, damn near everything in this DLC is weak to ice. Overall, it's really not even that hard its just that the base game of Elden Ring was alot easier compared to the dark souls series, Sekiro, or Bloodborne so if Elden Ring is your first souls game than ya you will find it very hard, but if your a veteran of the series it finally feels right at home.

This dlc is a pushover fr. Disappointed in difficulty. Old Hunters still the best dlc ever for me
