- The young American soprano Nadine Sierra thrilled the audience during the Hannover Klassik Open Air in 2021.
The opera gala together with the NDR Radiophilharmonie under the direction of Ivan Repušic, took place in front of the magnificent backdrop of Hannover's illuminated city hall in the Maschpark.
Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is one of the starriest young talents of today and makes regular guest appearances in the world's greatest opera houses.

She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.

Bravo is right ! What a gorgeous, spun sound. The perfect voice for this aria. How many times have I heard this sung so shrill that by that repeated descending scale figure near the end, I was wishing the soprano would choke and expire on the spot ! Thanks to Nadine we have a definitive performance. Brava !!!
