Honestly and truly, if Disney ever decided to make a stage production of Nightmare Before Christmas, I think Jeremy would make a fantastic Jack Skellington.
My guess is this is a rehearsal run through for a (possibly recorded) cabaret performance and they were goofing through, as is the norm - he's marking high notes to save it and they're all feeling it with him so he can improvise in normal ways for the audience.

Jeremey Jordan is awesome!! I just saw his movie "Spinning Gold" for the second time today. He is absolutely fantastic portraying Neil Bogart the music producer of Casablanca Records. He definitely deserves an Academy Award for this role!! Fans of Jeremey, you have to see this movie!!!

Lea Salonga... she was also the singing voice of Jasmine in the original Aladdin. I'm sure you're familiar with her work on Broadway. She's pretty much as good as any musical actress from her generation.
I would agree that Jeremy's little clip here is better than the original that was sang by Christina Aguilera... but not the original version from the movie. I call them both originals cuz idk when disney started releasing a "pop track" to go along the "movie track"... but lets be real, Jeremy's version would not sound good in the context of the movie >.

I think here he’s doing it intentionally to give more character, and emotion to it since he normally wouldn’t play a Disney Princess, but yeah he does a lot of belting so a lot of the time he relies on his nasal resonance to produce the much higher sounding notes resulting in a very whiny sound. It allows him to sing really high notes in full voice, but yeah he does sort of sacrifice the beauty of his voice as a result.
He's singing with proper placement... It's a forward sound as it should resonate in your nasal cavity. He only does that in his mix. He had gorgeous low notes and high notes. He isn't nasally. He is singing properly.

Opera singers are known for having a deeper sound and flawless technique. Like Andrea Bocelli. He’s singing in a way that minimizes strain and fatigue, but most classical teachers would probably not like the way he’s singing cause it’s a very pop singer sound. Nothing is wrong with forward placement and a lot of Broadway belters use it, but it wouldn’t be accurate to say he doesn’t sound nasally at all.
