Not in a million years did I think a pond could be created out of that swampy mud pit. Then I remembered I was watching Chris and as usual a fantastic result. Just waiting for the final cleanup.
The pond looks awesome Chris, you’re the Pond Doctor brother, there’s no doubt about it! I was worried at first when you entered the swamp, I’ve never seen you unconfident about anything job! You looked that way the first day and I said it’s no hill for a climber! Well you’re the best Hill Climber I’ve seen! Now the pond is looking freaking awesome because you’re such obstacle overcomes, that’s what brings me back every time to see you operate! YOURE THE POND DOCTOR! NO DOUBT! Thanks for sharing the experience with us! Chris,👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 oh I love Winston too, he’s love’s breakfast with his Daddy! Y’all are so cool, y’all stay safe my friend! I love when you cut the water loose! 👍🏻👍🏻
It’s a joy watching you work! There aren’t many equipment operators in your class, I’m fortunate to know a few though. Equipment operators like you always, always made my job soooooooo much easier! Keep up the great work, you’re definitely top notch!!!
Chris. Man Oh Man you sure have a gift to see what has to be moved to build a pond. The lay blacks are a very integral part of the dirt moving. You and that big VOLVO make magic with dirt. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Equipment.
@Mason I’m the same way! I’ll turn on a video and lay in bed and that Volvo will put me 10-7 in about 10 minutes so long as he’s not digging rocks Lol it’s super hypnotic is the only thing I can figure
Nice work. I live in Tasmania (Australia) & when I get a dam (pond) done, I do it in summer & sow grass seed in the dam. as the dam fills the water stays crystal clear & if the source is fine, it's drinkable.
What I'd give to have a few of those hardwood logs delivered to my back yard - run them through the bandsaw, set the slabs on stickers & in a year or three I'd have all the wood I need for all my projects...
I do not know much about big earth moving equipment, but I sure love your excavator. It is quiet, smooth and powerful. Add to that your perfect touch on the controls and everything just flows with such apparent ease. I love watching your channel. I sure learned a lot about pond construction from you!
I worked 37 years in the natural gas pipeline industry. A lot of it was maintaining the pipeline ROW and excavating. This brings back memories. It takes steady hands to dig around a loaded pipeline. You sir could make the grade.
Beautiful job !!! I did a pond about that size 6 year's ago and it was AWESOME breaching the dammed up part of the existing pond...equalized in about 30 min's..m
Roll roll roll the tree - gently thru the mud 😁 ... a real terraformer with extraordinary mud management skills 👍 ... suitable soundtrack: Muddy Waters 😁 -> greetings from Germany ✌️
Man that grading bucket is the ticket! The incredible volume it holds, with the ability to fine grade at infinite angles. Hope your getting a cut on future sales for the design.
Since I started watching you, I must say that I love your videos. I am from Ottawa Canada and had never heard of these ponds you are digging everywhere. Got me to read up on it and now I better understand your work. It is relaxing and every morning always anxious to see your nest video. Thank you for your entertainment and you are a pro there is no doubt about it!! dont stop!!
Ive actually fallen asleep Multiple times here in my chair just watching, i prob wouldnt be a good operator of that at least.Exactly, i dont care for most Music with True outdoor enviroments like other channels.
This is awsome! You must even do this in your dreams. Lol. I have a few questions. How did you learn to do this? How much was your volvo exc? How much equipment do you have? Do you think I can still do something like that eventhough I'm 45? Lol. How much do I need to get started? What is the name of this trade? Are you your own boss? You don't have to anwer all of them. But if you can, I'll appreciate it. Thanks! Very soothing by the way. Lol
In UK we build our bonfires on the ground level, to let the air get at the fire. There again we mostly have green grass fields surrounding us, so no risk of setting a local forest on fire. You guys certainly like your Fire Pits.
That AMI equipment Chris uses was made exactly to the specs he ordered. You can't go online and buy that anywhere else, so I guess it was worth the money and will last for a long time.
You did a great job! Really nice. There's a big part of you that's an artist. You take pride in your work and it shows. That's going to look beautiful when everything's growing around the edges. Great job! Really fun to watch.
It plays to the human natural urge to make order out of chaos. It is turning a horrid sludgy mess into something nice and neat and ordered, and it is incredibly satisfying to watch.
Are they stocking fish in the pond should put cover structor for fish a few piles of logs and sticks bundled up and anchor to the bottom would be great cover for them
The ashes will be great fertilizer for the field. Basic chemical mix for growth of farm plants. The Sand is beach sand from eons ago. The Mountains west of you are moving down into the mud and washing off as well. They are old. Western mountains are growing while the oldest are the central range - Chicago down through Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The central is oldest and has all but sunk into the mud. The before and afters on this job will be awesome!! You turn an ugly chaos of a mess into a nice place to enjoy. Another job almost well done. Only because your not done yet. 👍💪
Know I say it on every comment on your videos but it is unbelievable how much you accomplish every day! Would have been interesting to see how you got past the huge pile of mud behind you. : ) : ) : )
At the risk of jinxing you...I'm going to mention this is one excellent job you did. Pro-quality all the way. Your vane of mud work has been perfected to a tee. I heard you touching on the edge of being overwhelmed when you started this...but to see the way it turned out must make you feel very satisfied.
It's a nice perspective that gives the viewers a chance to see just how much material that massive bucket moves. Besides, we get to see that custom-made thumb smack the hell out of the boom (34:43), which we would never have seen from the cab view! Probably best we didn't hear Chris' response...
Chris, as much as I love watching your videos, and love the AMI Equipment!! Yep here it comes, you got to do something with those hoses! Just looks like they get in the way! 👍
Hey Chris, You got a lot of mud to hide !! lolol... Turning out pretty dang nice so far... Once you get it shaped up , I believe it's gonna look real nice !! Great as always Man... Have a Great Evening !! On too the next...

Great job Chris, really cool watching the pond fill up so fast when you broke through the dam.
this sure looks a whole lot better than the swamp you started with. very nice. stay safe Chris.

It doesn't matter how many times you do it, every time you breach a dam it is ultra satisfying.
Surprisingly enjoyable video. I love the inside the cab camera perspective. Very nicely done.
Chris.

That Supper Scooper makes all other buckets look like teaspoons. A great investment as you said.
When i go to watch others doing Beaver dam removals, They look so wimpy......
You have done a fantastic job. When it dries and grass grows back it will be beautiful.
There is something about the “Volvo drone” and a friendly voice that just relaxes me!
My wife watches this with me for the same reason.
Totally agree.
Makes me super sleepy for some reason. Can't sleep? Just watch letsdig18!

I really like how fluid you motions are; very little wasted time in getting things moved.
I am constantly amazed how you can dance around in the mud with all that iron and not get stuck...
i watch one video where back hoe had sunk up to the windshield it was slow going but it was raised and drove out

I found you so many years ago via a beaver dam video and never left! This was AWESOME!!! Thank you!!!!

Love to watch you clear land. You do such a nice clean job ☺️
Many years ago my friend dug a pond and left a small island. It had a few trees and made a nice addition.
