Good evening from Western Australia. That dam was holding back an enormous amount of water. I counted 3 times you stopped to allow the water flow out. Keep well my friend and God Bless.
Good morning Lynn 💝💝 There was a culvert on the road below, so it couldn't handle that much water. And I didn't want to risk it washing out the forest road below. Have a nice day 😊👋

@@mariagdaws6083, what a pleasant surprise! I thought I scared you writing from my other channel! This one was supposed to be for crafts tutorials and it hasn’t happened yet. 🤪 I always manage to have breakfast, usually around 8 and watching our friend Maciej. Although my knee is still aching, I managed to stay busy gardening or rather fighting with the animals that eat everything I plant and the past month I’m working at clearing and taping , painting etc. the stairwell to/from the garage …two and a half storey. Also managed to fracture my right big toe through all this and still also mixed cement to fix the side walkway, if you can believe it! If I could trade my hubby for a healthier body, I’d do it and no regrets. 😂 I hope your surgery goes well and you have a fast recovery. I hope you’ll let me know how it goes! The weather here is crazy cold one day and warmer the next, nights have already been at 1-4 degrees Celsius and my plants are in the garage waiting to go in the stairwell when I finally finish. I’m having a late lunch of garden cicorie with creamed fava beans. 😋 I missed hearing from you! 😘
Hello. Haha, that observer wasn't my dad, but some local resident - an older gentleman who really wanted to show me what and how to do 😋😋 But overall it was a nice meeting 🙂🙃 Warm greetings from the other side of the globe 😊👋💝
You are getting better and better with that bucket. My opinion is that buy an excavator has been a very good investment for your business, congrats mate !!!👍💪💪
I'll admit you're right, it was a great investment on my part - but at the same time I have a lot more orders and work now than before. Sometimes maybe even too much. But the season ends in less than two months, so I still have some work to do. Best regards and stay healthy 👋🙂
Nice example that working with excavator comes along with additional challenges. Opening the dam is easy, but the ditch and structures downstream also need to be able to cope with the huge amount of water released in short time. Interesting detail: the banks of the ditch looked like there’s already been remarkable water level before. Has this area been affecting by the heavy rain weeks ago so that water went over the top of the main dam? Also appears beavers extended the dam to the sides then which created this pond finally.
On this day below I was removing two other dams, so you can see that there was water there before, so you noticed correctly that there was also water below.
@@msTECH86 Witam Maciej, and Thanks, that's the much more straightforward explanation 😂 (and no surprise you're going for the right sequence when removing dams). Should have come up with this by myself, but sometimes I'm thinking too complicated, thus overlooking the more obvious 😅. I'm well aware that beavers do this ˋstaging´ of dams, and I'm also looking at this from construction perspective. With water being retained from (former) next dam downstream, it does not only help to reduce current (as there's always few leakages) but also to build some counter-pressure on the dam. I've been lucky to follow some ˋbeaver control measures in my area triggered by local authorities during the last weeks. Went out almost every day especially to check how quickly the busy beavers are going to rebuild their dams; which is why I'm looking for those tiny details in videos, too. Really amazing how they're fixing the most important things during first night already. So need to go out now and check what the busy 🦫's did while we've enjoyed this "longer" night when switching back from daylight saving. Best regards from Bavaria / Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Bawaria, Andi
I like watching your videos, but you need more camera angles. The single camera angle from the excavator is okay, but a cameras view on the actual collapse of the beaver damn would be so much better.
Hi from Adelaide Australia In your next video you should use a claw for your machine that way it will be easier for you to grab all the sticks and logs from the beaver dam Yours sincerely Mr Donald Alexander Richards
Hello. A few years ago we tried using a different excavator bucket, one with teeth, and unfortunately it didn't work out too well. Thanks for the tip, but I'm sticking with this configuration. Best regards, Maciej.
Looks like your bucket needs a few shims, sooner rather than later. A few $$$ and an hour or so. Preventative maintenance, saving a big bill later. Love a good bit of dam busting.
Ummm, he just got this excavator not too long ago. He's still learning. If you're such an expert at operating one, perhaps you could tap into your extensive history of operating one and give him a few pointers.
Why you just take the damn out before you make everything wet you know what you doing you take the damn out then you concentrate. They look pretty all right after they clean it out. It common sense, clean out the damn first don’t worry about it. Everything else mess or muddy mess slinging down the Swamp
Hello, I hope you’re doing well. My name is Abrham, and I’m from Houston, Texas. I make short (under 1 minute) commentary videos, and I would love to make one about you using footage from clips on your channel. The video will be complimentary and fully credited to you in the title, description, and top comment so everyone knows where to find you and see more . May I have your permission to create and post this video to my channel ? Thank you!
Sir, I really appreciate your kind reply 🙏, but I’d like you to reconsider. This won’t negatively impact your videos; in fact, it will definitely help boost your audience. I've worked with other creators who have large followings on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and based on their feedback, they've noticed significant audience growth. I highly recommend you accept the offer and try it for a month. If you don’t see an audience boost, you can always decline afterward. Thank you 🙏
@@msTECH86 Hello, sir. This may seem inappropriate or unprofessional, and please don’t take it as disrespect. I just want to take my last shot at asking you to reconsider the offer. That way, anyone who wants to see more will know exactly where to find you. I’d appreciate it if you could reconsider.

I was thinking the same thing. He’s playing around more than doing anything constructive.

Nice job. The final flow rate indicates that there may be another dam down stream.
IS THIS YOUR FIRST DAY USING A BACKHOE
looks like you have more dams downstream to clear out or the water would have left
Great work!

Mastered channel reconstruction.
The pins, on the bucket head, need serious attention
You need a bucket and a claw to help you move the trees and debree along smoother
It's possible that a thumb would help, but for now I'll stick with the current setup.

In fact, it was quite big 💪😎

Even if you don't use it all the time doing stuff like this a hydraulic thumb would come handy
Che lavoro strepitosooo 🎉

But why did they build this pond in the middle of the forest? 😋🦫
