Hello! I'm new to all of this and am just getting started. I have not seen one video where the topic is low content/no content, where they mention how long it takes to get your book reviewed by kdp and then published. KDP states up to 72 hours, but the truth is, a low content/no content book is pushed to the "back of the line", and can takes WEEKS to be reviewed, and possibly not published at all, which is a huge difference from up to 72 hours. Just thought I'd mention that because it was a big surprise to me and disappointing.
I don't need someone to motivate me, because when you are living in poor surroundings, you'll give your full time to reach and I think you'll not understand this
@@emilyjean222 Hi Emily, I had one stuck for over 72 hours and shot an email to KDP. They were very responsive. I asked if there was an issue that I could fix on my end or if I messed something up. They said no and it just got caught up in a glitch. I have 11 up and only had the one get caught up longer than 72 hours. Definitely send KDP an email if it takes longer than 72 hours.
Hi, Rachel, I definitely want to buy your course, but I’m not sure that I can sell the books from Azerbaijan. Where can I get the information about the countries that have a permission to sell the kdp books?
“Better be 80% and on the web than 100% and in your head.” This was for me. Such an informative and encouraging interview. I’m yet to start. Really very much all in my head.
I am totally re-energized watching this... I bought Rachel's course last summer, made 5 notebooks and was making $50/month... then I stopped working on the books, but this makes me want to re-watch the course and start again even smarter! $5000/month by the end of 2022!!!
My very first book actually sells! I worked pretty hard on designing it. I'm in the process of loading books every week. I want to shoot for the stars with KDP this year!
For those who thinks that the law of attraction doesn’t work… I just made this my goal last night and this video just showed up! I’m buying the course! I have be on KDP for about 9 months and making $50-$100 a month on 2 books. I have 20 books only sales on 6. I really need help with keywords, research and everything! 😂 I’m excited! 🙂
I know this is an old post, but back at this time, were you using ads? How are things now since you've taken the course? I am new and trying to figure it all out.
Rachel, this was a wonderful interview! I have followed you from the beginning and I remember one of your videos back in 2020 you said, something to the effect of "if you treat this like a business, then start making an investment in yourself by taking courses, watching webinars, etc.". I have had some success with just your guidance just from your videos and good ol' trial and error. However, now I can afford it, so I just bought your course and I am thrilled to get started on it to truly up my game and dig deep. I have learned a LOT in the last year and a half mostly on my own. Thank you for this inspirational video! 💖👍😉
I didnt catch this lovely ladies name that you are interviewing, but she is amazing and such great information that she is sharing, very transparent and genuine. Great interview! She should have her own channel!
Rachel, I found this video truly valuable. My journey with KDP started in September and it's not too great, but I still believe things can change for me. A lot to digest and my intention is to come back to your recording. Congratulations to Stacy!
I was just reading the terms and conditions for the class and I think it is so smart to have someone to include all of the coursework with the request. It makes sure a person actually did the work
I'm researching. I've not built a book yet. I'm compiling what are possible niches while I watch good kdp youtubers like you, realistic. This was a great interview. Thanks so much. As a retired graphic designer with a guaranteed income, I can spend time learning, researching my list of possible fun areas/niches, then open Adobe and get started. Methodical. But I'm also a procrastinator and a perfectionist too so at some point, get out of my head., go for very good, not perfect!! 80% and uploaded is good advice. Thanks! (Love the advice to love your niches.)
I really appreciate the honesty and the fact that she had to say she had 700 books up. Some people come on here and make it so attainable to achieve success not knowing that you do have to put in the work. I really appreciate that. Is there an academy that I heard you talk about, where would I go for that? Also, how long do I have to watch the class? Does it expire?
Great information shared in here. I loved it!! I need a system and now I've found it in this video. I love doing low content books. It's been 10 months and I learned from others on YT. I've only done 57 so far. Never knew this would be something to help me out during this funky time we are living in and provide so much fun designing covers and interiors. Not too many sales, but each time my daughter post them on her IG, I get sales. Thank you so much for sharing.
Overall a really powerful interview. I struggle with the integrity of cross-promoting among your own pen names, though. This kind of self-referral is actually illegal in healthcare because of the unfairness of profiting from consumers who are kept in the dark about the incentives involved. It may not be illegal in publishing, but at best it's deceptive and probably unethical. If integrity is a core value of your business, perhaps shy away from this type of deception. A simple fix is just to recommend books under the same pen name, then the incentive is at least clearer.
This was absolutely perfect! I related so much to Rachel's style. I like to go fast and have to constantly remind myself to slow down and focus. The creative process excites me. Some of the other marketing must-do's...not so much. Lots of great advice here. I look forward to more of these. Thanks so much!!

Great interview! Thank you Rachel. Time to get back to basics, and go through your course again. It's too easy to get distracted with all the other stuff online, then forget a step of your process.
Ive only started nothing as of yet, but have had over 23 books as a mix of low to medium only in a space of 4 days - Need to sort out more on interiors and support with keywords, My background is teaching, property investor (My own property selling company) and Graphic/game design. So book covers should be fine, but we will see! Going to do ads shortly and especially with the Q4 we are in mid term now! Lets go guys!
Thank you for this, love your success videos Rachel, Making lots of notes. Please re interview this lovely lady, would love to see how she is getting on following the new steps
Okay! I watched it again, and I'm still blown away by her tips. The question occurred to me, if you have multiple pen names, do you need a separate email list for each one, and separate branding for each one, meaning a logo, website, etc.?
Depending on your provider, you can use one email list under an umbrella publishing name and then segment it according to brand name. I'd also do a separate logo for each name. I personally don't bother with websites for my brand names; it's a lot of work and they remain largely disused unless you actively drive traffic to it.
Brand new to your channel and this is my first time ever hearing about KDP and Low Content Books and this was AWESOME INFO!!! I look forward to learning more and taking the leap following your lead and teachings.
I am feeling so much more motivated after watching this video! I have been publishing no and low content books on KDP since October 19 and have only made $69!!! I just "did it" with no system. I am definitely going to take your course! I need a system! I need to find out why my books don't sell. Etc., etc., etc.! So glad I "tripped" onto this video!
@@RachelHarrisonSund I think what resonated most with me was having a structure, a process and a checklist. Things get forgotten, and having that in place really helps. Also leaving behind the things that basically aren't working and building out more of what is. I need to listen to this again! She was so helpful and relatable.
Absolutely loved this! Such a real interview, and very relatable. Thank you for being so generous with your time and putting together this interveiw! I always find when you set out an intention, the universe will always guide you in the most interesting ways. As Stacey mentions she found her niche by unintentionally finding it, but it was intentional because she put it out there with her research before, even by planning to do it for that week. I love that her process wasn't structured, but that she still put the time in, especially with putting her 700 books out. And like Rachel said, that is why we are here for passive income! Can't wait to go through Rachels course again to see all the updates!
This video has been extremely encouraging. I genuinely appreciate her taking the time to share her journey and her success. The one thing I’m lost on is keyword searches and how you benefit from doing those searches.
OMG! I just discovered this entire new way of passive income, and it was so funny to hear that your student came to this from writing romance fiction. Me, too! Why spend months on a book, then do a second draft, and either put it on KDP or try to go the traditional publishing route when you finally have it ready, when I can sit at my laptop and design books? The Affinity Designer is very difficult, but I'm getting proficient in other software. Thanks!
I have a question about the course. On the website it says that you don't need to do advertising for the books, but it also says later on that you'll tag us when we need to advertise..? So we will need to learn how to & invest into advertising for this strategy to work?
One thing would like to know that when we search on amazon all departments with a keyword, here show 1000, search results for example. But when we search by selecting Books and then search with the same keyword it shows 50k-60k search results. This is a wide competition. So where should we focus?
Bought the course! Maybe you can interview me in the next year and a half! I have a full time job and I am looking to supplement my income to save for retirement. Who knows if KDP doesn't die before I retire I could retire on $5k/mo.
Yes Inspired!!!. I write and create art now but just for myself in my room so you got me so excited I just registered for your Master class. I'm thrilled to share what I have with others. :)

Glad you found it motivating! It always helps to see other people who are just like us experiencing success. I always find it energizing! Do you have a favourite tip that Stacey shared?
@@RachelHarrisonSund There are so much value and inspiration in this talk. One key thing to take away is that the market is never saturated. There will always be opportunity to create new dimensions and add value like Stacy did. Another take away is to have a long term goal. I personally liked Stacy's idea about cross promoting within books that are complimentary.
What a great interview, I feel super inspired by you both! Two questions, how would you go about building an email marketing campaign and connect this to your Amazon customers? Also to find a niche with less than a thousand competitors would you need something like Publisher Rocket? Thanks!
Hello, it's always good to learn from people who get succefull, congratulation, for me creating the book is the easy thing but promoting the book is the thing i need most i even published a coloring book this month and i get 3 sell so far
@@RachelHarrisonSund No question: Follow the system and pay attention to the numbers. I am so tempted to take your course, Rachel, and I will. It's just that I am currently publishing children's books and I am up to my eyeballs in busy. I'd like to accompany my stories with low-content books but I am afraid of biting off more than I can chew.
Thanks for your super videos! I enjoyed watching this one also and got much informations out of it. One thing I didn´t understand for finding the subsub niche: How can I find the amount of the search requests and how to find the number of competitors? Thanks again! :)
I am binge watching everything about KDP before I launch my first book. I want to make sure I do it right because there are things you cannot change afterwards. I have a question about cross promotion: is there anyway to reupload your inside page PDF file later on (after I have 2 or 3 books) and have a new promotion in there? I hope this makes sense because right now I have no other books to cross promote. And I'm sure in the 2nd book I will promote my first. But wanted to know if there was a way to go back and re-upload a book to add things like that? Thank you if anyone answers :)
her part time is alot for someone who has a full time job and kids...😬 I've been considering getting into kdp, sounds fun and interesting to help me with my goal. Is this still a thing in 2022?

I don't need someone to motivate me, because when you are living in poor surroundings, you'll give your full time to reach and I think you'll not understand this
Wouldn't using several pen-names affect your credibility or sales volume on an individual basis, versus collectively lumping all your sales under one name? What are the pros and cons please?
Great interview and content - thank you both! At 29:53 she is talking about tools she uses and the third one - I’m not sure what she is referring to? It sounds like “suggestion fander”? Can you please clarify? Thx so much!
Would love some tips for using Fivrr. I keep getting images from them that are either straight rip offs from popular characters or too close for comfort.
I'm curious as to the wisdom of why people use multiple pen names. Doesn't that get in the way of building a brand? Who and what is your brand if you're using one name for one book or niche and another name for something else? Great interview and very inspiring!
Great question! The only time I recommend using more than 1 pen name is when you are publishing books under 2 disparate niches; for example, you wouldn't want to publish a children's activity book under the same name that you publish planners that use off-colour language on the cover. You're right that the more pen names you have, the more difficult it can be to build a good brand, as you'll be spread too thin. So the fewer the better.
@@RachelHarrisonSund That makes sense. Another related question, and I'm not sure if it was you or someone else I heard this from, but is Amazon now suggesting that authors use "real names" as opposed to more business-like names like "XYZ Publishing"? :)

I still need to put my isbn and other number on site..have put 2 books up..Ghost school and Poems for the young at Heart!
Super interview. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it, Heather! What was your biggest takeaway?
@@RachelHarrisonSund No question: Follow the system and pay attention to the numbers. I am so tempted to take your course, Rachel, and I will. It's just that I am currently publishing children's books and I am up to my eyeballs in busy. I'd like to accompany my stories with low-content books but I am afraid of biting off more than I can chew.
Thanks for your super videos! I enjoyed watching this one also and got much informations out of it. One thing I didn´t understand for finding the subsub niche: How can I find the amount of the search requests and how to find the number of competitors? Thanks again! :)
Yes, I'm ready to create my own low content and succeed!
I was wondering if the course is still updated for August 2022
Where are Stacey B's books! Links to her Amazon books? - I'd like to see her reviews/ratings..
This is a great interview - so helpful!!
Thanks for sharing this information.
Rachel how can I start this a lot of people are saying low- contact publishing isn't that successful is there a way you can show me please
Rachel what is the course from below Heather was mentioning it. Is it very expensive? Very interest I need to understand more
That is a great video.. very useful.
Beneficial interview, I have learned from this interview be persevering and trust in the system which leads to success .
This was hugely inspirational, thank you. 😊
her part time is alot for someone who has a full time job and kids...😬 I've been considering getting into kdp, sounds fun and interesting to help me with my goal. Is this still a thing in 2022?
Start with the year.. I think it's a lot harder to start after covid
Thank you ... great interview! I am struggling to do no content books ... how is that possible you say, there's so much information out there. It's very possible I say!
I don't need someone to motivate me,
because when you are living in poor surroundings, you'll give your full time to reach
and I think you'll not understand this
Great interview! Feeling inspired :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you lovely ladies for your tine and informative content.
Really good interview. Inspiring! Re the multiple pen names, would they require multiple kdp accounts?
Thanks, Kelvin! No; you can use as many pen names as you like under one KDP account. Multiple KDP accounts aren't allowed, so don't do that!
@@RachelHarrisonSund OK, cool, thanks for clarifying that - and I'll be sure to only open one account!
Great interview, conversation...
For the part about email marketing, how exactly do you collect email addresses from people who have purchased your other low-content books?
How many hours is the course??
Thank you for sharing ! usefull info.
Interesante todo lo que he aprendido en esta entrevista. muy enriquecedora. muchas gracias
Is there any way to see the study guide before buying the course?
Hi there! If you're interested in seeing what's inside the course you can follow the link for Low-Content Profits Academy in the description.
Muy buena, excelente entrevista
Do you rely on keywords and book covers to make sales? And do you advocate not advertising?
Wouldn't using several pen-names affect your credibility or sales volume on an individual basis, versus collectively lumping all your sales under one name? What are the pros and cons please?
what's the catalog for sketchbooks?
Hi Rachel….how many hours is your course? Loved the interview.
Great interview and content - thank you both! At 29:53 she is talking about tools she uses and the third one - I’m not sure what she is referring to? It sounds like “suggestion fander”? Can you please clarify? Thx so much!
Suggestion Expander.
Hi!
How are you?! I need some advice from you abt KDP and I ask how to join in Academy?
Hello, ca you tell me how much the course is?
Would love some tips for using Fivrr. I keep getting images from them that are either straight rip offs from popular characters or too close for comfort.
What are you designing on, if not Word?
I have been in Word, but I have novels and illustrated children's books
Great video thank you Rachel! Just one question, how do you implement an email campaign if you don’t have the email address from Amazon.
I have the same question
