It's honestly brilliant. The dude made an entire album basically for this set, and the videos are far from random - each video complements the playing track. He had them pulled up beforehand obviously. I'm not sure if he made music to match the videos or found videos that work with the music; it's all so cohesive. The presentation is janky and that's what makes it so surreal I think. If it was a continuous cut of this footage... it would be probably so much less awkward? but Bauer wanted that to be the case, he wanted a weird setting. I think he wanted to simulate the experience of going down a rabbit hole on the internet and evoking thoughts about big picture universe shit. Not to mention his cheesy hilarious reactions to some of the videos added a weird comic relief aspect. I dunno, I just loved this set.
